Chapter 357: Chapter 231: The Mysterious Creature Called Scream Tail (4k)_2

But speaking of which, the Terastalization of Pokemon seems to follow the same principle.

Pokemon undergoing Terastalization will be enveloped by a layer of special crystals, causing their bodies to shine like cut gems, emitting a dazzling glow.

According to Naoki’s understanding, the occurrence of Terastalization is closely related to the Tera Energy seeping from the ground in the Paldea Region.

Could it be Terapagos that is seeping out this energy? Naoki speculated wildly.

But unfortunately, the DLC of the time he crossed into hasn’t been released yet, leaving him as clueless about all this as the locals of this world.

But based on the information provided in the game, could it be that Terapagos is down here?

Thinking of this, Naoki reached out and touched the energy crystals on the tree, faintly sensing a powerful force from within.

Koraidon guarded nearby, tilting its head to gaze at its reflected image in the crystals.

Suddenly, it saw something flying from behind through the crystal.

”Ah gasi!”

Koraidon immediately became alert, turned around, and swiped its claw, sending the thing flying away.

The opposing entity crashed face-first into a tree, awkwardly sliding down the trunk onto the grass.

”Hmm? What’s that?”

Naoki immediately stood up, his right hand gripping the two Poke Balls in his pocket.

”Ah gasi...” Koraidon shook its head, indicating it didn’t know either.

After seeing the appearance of the mysterious creature, Naoki was instantly stunned.

Jigglypuff? No! Not Jigglypuff! It’s the ancient species Scream Tail of Jigglypuff!

Thinking of the ferocious Roaring Moon seen last night, Naoki immediately became vigilant: ”Koraidon, stay alert!”

”Ah gasi!”

As the words fell, the Scream Tail that had slid down the trunk staggered to its feet, angrily turned around, with a red mark across its cute little face that seemed like it was run over by a wheel.

”Owooowooooo!”

Scream Tail emitted a fierce wildness, jumping wildly and issuing a lofty battle cry, akin to a gorilla from ancient times beating its chest and challenging enemies.

Then it charged wildly at Koraidon.

Koraidon looked baffled, raised its hand to prepare to swat this savage little thing away.

However, the Scream Tail suddenly opened its mouth, revealing sharp fangs, and bit tightly onto Koraidon’s paw.

”Ah gasi!”

Koraidon was shocked, quickly swinging its arm trying to fling Scream Tail away.

However, the Scream Tail bit tightly, refusing to let go no matter how Koraidon shook.

Seeing this, Naoki also stepped forward and pulled at Scream Tail’s body, trying to detach it.

For a moment, Scream Tail was stretched long but still wouldn’t let go.

Naoki pulled off a few tufts of its fur, falling onto the grass.

”Use Flamethrower to burn it!” Unable to pull it off, Naoki immediately ordered to set it aflame.

Koraidon immediately used Flamethrower.

Scream Tail was instantly engulfed in scorching flames, letting out a shriek and finally willing to open its mouth.

Scream Tail dropped to the ground with its fur aflame, madly running around.

When the flames finally extinguished, Scream Tail erupted with a powerful wave of Psychic energy.

It screamed furiously: ”Roar, oowooo!”

Afterward, a physical Mind Wave blasted out from it toward Koraidon.

Seeing this, Naoki knew this conflict couldn’t end peacefully.

Without hesitation, he gave Koraidon a command: ”Use Flare Blitz!”

Dragon Type Moves are ineffective against Scream Tail, and Fighting Moves deal only a quarter damage. Rather than continuing the tussle, it’s better to go all out.

”Swish!”

A surge of scorching flames erupted from Koraidon, which enveloped its whole body, transforming it into a fiery chariot charging straight at Scream Tail.

Perhaps the difference in their strengths was too great; Scream Tail’s Psyshock was instantly shattered by Koraidon.

The next second, they collided.

With a loud bang, Scream Tail was sent flying, with the immense impact breaking a big tree as it fell to the ground, losing its ability to fight.

The flames on Koraidon receded into its body.

Naoki stepped forward, giving Koraidon a bottle of Berry Milk with a [Large Stamina Recovery] effect.

Koraidon took it, guzzling the milk down in one go.

Naoki stepped forward to observe the defeated Scream Tail.

”Apart from the large ponytail on its forehead, it doesn’t seem much different from a regular Jigglypuff.” Naoki recalled the appearance of Jigglypuff, carefully comparing the two.

”No, Jigglypuff doesn’t seem to have such sharp little fangs, nor is its size as large as Scream Tail.”

This Scream Tail must be at least a meter tall, almost twice the size of Jigglypuff.

At this time, the revitalized Koraidon approached, looking at the Scream Tail with a hint of puzzlement.

”Ah gasi?”

”This Pokemon is too savage.” Naoki said.

But compared to the ferocious Roaring Moon from last night, this Scream Tail is much better.

Should he try to capture it?

After contemplating for a while, Naoki took an empty Poke Ball from his backpack and pressed it against the forehead of the Scream Tail.

The next moment, Scream Tail’s body transformed into red light, getting absorbed into the Poke Ball.

”Thunk thunk!”

The Poke Ball dropped on the ground, trembling violently while the central button flashed brightly red.

Once, twice, thrice...

It seemed the Pokemon inside struggled fiercely.

Shortly, the ball’s shaking reduced, until it completely stopped, and the red light ceased to flash.

This signifies a successful capture.

”Succeeded?”

Naoki picked up the Poke Ball, hesitated a moment, and pressed the button aiming at the empty space beside him.

A white light flashed, and the Scream Tail, awakened by capture, reappeared before him and Koraidon.

”Roar oowooo!”

Even in a state of severe weakness, Scream Tail still displayed violence and ferocity.

It opened its mouth, showing sharp little fangs, levitating in the air toward Naoki, intending to attack him.

But before it could get close, Koraidon swatted it away.

”Roar oowoooah ah ah!”

Scream Tail jumped up frantically, howling loudly.

Naoki was irritated by the sharp noise, picking up the Poke Ball to recall the still aggressive Scream Tail.

The surroundings returned to peace, Naoki looked down at the Poke Ball, contemplating:

”Indeed, Poke Balls have no mind-control function... Even capturing a Pokemon, it can’t be made entirely obedient.”

He reflected on Scream Tail’s behavior, suddenly feeling amused:

”No wonder it’s the ancient species Scream Tail, being a Fairy Type and Psychic Type Pokemon, yet rarely using Psybeam, preferring physical and bite attacks instead.”

”Such behavior indeed resembles a primal savage, fitting its identity. It’s a shame, being so cute yet so wild and violent.”

The next step is how to handle this Scream Tail.

Naoki couldn’t help but ponder deeply.

Obviously, if he can’t completely tame Scream Tail, then it’s absolutely impossible to bring it back to the ranch.

With its current character, if he and Koraidon aren’t vigilant, the ranch might see several Pokemon losing their lives.

For instance, Alcremie being eaten, chickens in the Chicken House having their necks bitten off at night, Dolliv, and Glaceon might also get attacked.

Thinking of this, Naoki couldn’t help but sigh.

Ah, this is really troublesome!
