Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 995: Chapter 0995: Leave It to Me

“No way!” Hu Baoguo decisively shook his head.

Huh? Qin Yu and Li Erniu looked at each other in bewilderment, not knowing why Hu Baoguo was shaking his head.

“Why not?”

“You can’t use distilled water to make beverages; beverages must contain certain minerals and trace elements. If you drink distilled water for a long time, your immune system will collapse!

Beverages made with distilled water can’t get certified by health organizations.”

Is that so? Li Erniu’s face fell with disappointment. It looked like a wasted effort!

“So there’s this kind of thing. It seems there’s really a top scholar in every field.”

Qin Yu exclaimed in admiration and then looked at Li Erniu with a grin, “Brother Erniu, don’t lose heart. If we can’t use distilled water, there are other methods! We can add something extra to the formula.”

“Add something extra?” Li Erniu asked naively.

“Yes!” Qin Yu nodded.

“Add what?”

Qin Yu didn’t answer Li Erniu’s question but instead looked at Hu Baoguo with a smile.

Hu Baoguo’s eyes lit up, and he suddenly burst into laughter: “Xiao Qin! You really are my savior! No, you’re not just my savior; you’re the savior of the whole beverage factory!”

Li Erniu was even more confused, not understanding what Hu Baoguo was saying. He scratched his head anxiously: “Uncle Hu, what are you talking about? I don’t understand.”

“You with the brain of a pig! No, the brain of a cow.” Hu Baoguo pointed at Li Erniu’s head in annoyance, “Think about it, why doesn’t the beverage smell when it gets to our mouths?”

“Didn’t Xiao Qin just say? It’s because of saliva.”

“Exactly, and you still don’t know what to add to the beverage?”

Huh? Li Erniu was a bit stunned as he imagined the entire beverage factory staff spitting into the finished drink!

“Ew… wouldn’t that be disgusting?” Li Erniu almost threw up.

“Disgusting? What are you talking about?” Qin Yu and Hu Baoguo were taken aback.

“According to you two, we’re supposed to spit in the beverage. Just the thought makes me queasy. If the consumers ever found out, our factory would be finished!”

Qin Yu and Hu Baoguo rolled their eyes in unison, wondering what on earth was going on in the buffoon’s head.

They really couldn’t understand this buffoon’s way of thinking!

“Who told you that we have to spit into the beverage? All we need to do is figure out which enzyme in saliva is doing the work, and then add that enzyme to the beverage, right?”

“Is that so?” Li Erniu rubbed his head, signaling he understood, although he really didn’t have a clue.

Enzymes? What’s that?

Seeing Li Erniu pretending to understand, both of them laughed.

After laughing for a while, Hu Baoguo suddenly remembered something and sighed sadly: “Even if we find the reason, it’s no use. Director Su won’t allocate research funds for us.”

Qin Yu grinned and said, “Uncle Hu, didn’t I mention earlier? I’m very close with Director Su, we grew up together, wearing split-bottom pants. Leave the funding to me!”

Hu Baoguo’s lips twitched uncontrollably. Xiao Qin was generally fine but just too frivolous and such a braggart!

If it had been any other youngster talking like that, Hu Baoguo would have certainly spat in his face.

But considering that Qin Yu had helped him find the reason for the bad smell in the beverages, Hu Baoguo forced a smile: “Alright, then I’ll leave it to Xiao Qin! We’ll wait for the research funds from Director Su.”

Li Erniu, not understanding, saw both of them laughing and joined in the hearty laughter.
