Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 991: Chapter 0991: Stench

Qin Yu thought to himself how close a call it had been; it was fortunate he had come to work as a security guard, otherwise, the Su Group’s beverage factory would have really been doomed!

“Of course, I have some leads, otherwise, General Manager Tian wouldn’t have sent me here! My family has an ancient recipe, and I’m trying to find a way to integrate the recipe into the beverage!

But, the taste of the ancient recipe is slightly odd. I’m looking for some substitutes.”

“Is it possible for me to take a look at this ancient recipe?”

“This…” Hu Baoguo hesitated for a bit, as the ancient recipe was the foundation of his livelihood. If leaked, it would cause tremendous loss.

“Uncle Hu, Brother Qin is just a security guard, let him have a look! I guarantee that Brother Qin definitely won’t leak it!”

“Okay! After we finish eating, you two come with me!”

The three of them quickly finished their meal and headed toward the cafeteria’s main entrance. Qin Yu glanced backward and saw Wang Pixi was still queuing; a satisfied smile appeared on Qin Yu’s face, this kid had finally learned a lesson.

Qin Yu didn’t bother with Wang Pixi anymore and followed Hu Baoguo and Li Erniu to the laboratory.

Once inside the laboratory, Qin Yu furrowed his brow; the lab was filled with a thick layer of dust, clearly, it hadn’t been used for a long time!

“Ah, the Su Group has been struggling, especially our beverage factory, which is a losing business. We haven’t received any research funding for two years now! If the funding had been allocated earlier, if we had developed the health beverage sooner, perhaps our beverage factory would have revived from the brink. What a pity, such a pity!”

“Indeed! They must have spent a lot on building this laboratory back then, and the equipment is all very comprehensive!”

As someone in the know, Qin Yu also felt regretful.

“Xiao Qin, it’s no problem to show you the recipe, but you must promise not to leak it, not even to your closest relatives!”

“I promise,” Qin Yu said frankly. The Su Group was his wife’s, after all; how could he leak it?

“Good! I believe you!”

Hu Baoguo took out a piece of sheepskin from his bosom, which emitted an ancient aura. On the sheepskin, there were many characters that Qin Yu could recognize at a glance as very old!

Clearly, this recipe had indeed been passed down from hundreds of years ago!

Qin Yu received the sheepskin scroll and carefully inspected it, analyzing the medicinal effects of the various ingredients listed on it.

Qin Yu was an exceptional doctor who quickly concluded that using the herbs recorded on the sheepskin scroll to prepare a solution would produce a very strong nourishing effect and could enhance the body’s immunity.

“Uncle Hu, I have some basic knowledge of medicine, and these herbs don’t seem to have any problems. The ancient recipe should be fine too, so I’m not sure where the problem lies?”

“To tell you the truth, I’m not sure either. When my father passed the sheepskin scroll to me, he told me that in ancient times, our family became wealthy because of this secret formula.

But in my hands, it has become useless waste paper!”

Seeing Qin Yu still looking puzzled, Li Erniu explained, “Xiao Qin, it’s like this: the beverage made from Uncle Hu’s recipe has a peculiar bad smell!

Normal people wouldn’t drink such a beverage.”

“A bad smell? That shouldn’t be! I just looked over it, and Uncle Hu’s recipe shouldn’t produce any bad smell!”

“My father told me when he was teaching me, that this kind of drink not only has extremely strong health benefits but also tastes very good. However, no matter what I do, I can’t produce a tasty beverage!” Hu Baoguo said, looking dejected.

“Uncle Hu, brew it for me to see; perhaps I can identify the problem.”

“Alright!”

Hu Baoguo walked towards a freezer in the corner of the laboratory and took out various ingredients that he had stored in there.
