Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 968: Chapter 0968: Where Did You Go?

What made Gu Zhenyue even more frustrated was that Gu Chen’s phone was also turned off!

How could this be? How could Ah Chen’s phone be turned off? That’s not logical! Could it be that Ah Chen had gone into seclusion as well?

“Father, what’s wrong?”

“Both your third uncle and Ah Chen’s phones are turned off.”

“This…” Gu Yiming and the others looked at each other in dismay. Suddenly, Gu Yiming’s eyes lit up, and he looked up at Zhang Renguang, “Uncle Zhang, do you still have any old friends from Ice Valley?”

Zhang Renguang pondered for a moment, then nodded vigorously, “Yes, I do. I’ll call Old Hou right now!”

Zhang Renguang took out his phone and called his old friend. The call connected quickly, and a cheerful voice came through, “Big Brother Zhang, what made you think of me all of a sudden? Is there some good news?”

“Old Hou, I need to ask you, has our third brother come out of seclusion? Why aren’t the third brother and Ah Chen answering their phones?”

“Third bro and Ah Chen have gone back to Luo City together. Didn’t he tell you? I know, third bro must be planning to give you guys a surprise.”

“What? Third bro and Ah Chen went back to Luo City? What time was their flight?”

“I’m not quite sure. You guys wait a little. There’s smog over here; the flight might have been delayed, for all we know.”

“Got it.”

After hanging up the call, Zhang Renguang smiled and said, “Third bro has come out of seclusion! Third bro and Ah Chen should be on the plane, so they turned off their phones!”

“This third brother, if he’s coming back, then come back! Why go for a sudden attack? If we had known earlier that he was returning, we could have held that Qin fellow back until third bro got home!”

Gu Zhenyue’s face showed his frustration as he lamented the precious elixir wasted for nothing!

“Father, don’t worry. As long as third bro comes back, we’ll make that Qin fellow spit out every last bit he swallowed!” Gu Yiming quickly comforted his father.

“That’s right. Yiming, check right away how many flights there are from Capital City to Luo City tonight.”

“Yes!”

Gu Yiming hurriedly called Luo City International Airport Chairman Wu Kun. The call connected almost immediately, with a steady voice coming from the other end, “Gu brother, what’s the matter? Do you need VIP service?”

“No, Wu brother, I need a favor. Could you please check how many flights there are from Ice City to Luo City tonight?”

“Okay, Gu brother, just a moment.” Wu Kun was very efficient, it took him less than half a minute to finish the check, “There are three flights from Ice City to Luo City tonight, with the latest one landed two and a half hours ago.”

“Two and a half hours ago? Impossible! Wu brother, could you have made a mistake?”

“Absolutely not, I am one hundred percent confident. Gu brother, what happened?”

“My third uncle and my nephew flew from Ice City to Luo City tonight, but they haven’t come home yet! Wu brother, could you have gotten it wrong? Is there an added flight from Ice City to Luo City?”

“That shouldn’t be the case. Let me check for you.”

Half a minute later, Wu Kun spoke gravely, “Gu brother, I just checked. Third Master and Ah Chen took the JL2176 flight, which arrived in Luo City two and a half hours ago!

Oh, by the way, I have video of the two of them exiting through the VIP passage. I’ll send it to you now.”

After speaking, Wu Kun hung up and sent the footage of Third Master Gu and Gu Chen to Gu Yiming.

Looking at the footage sent by Wu Kun, Gu Yiming’s expression turned very strange. “Father, what do you think? Third uncle and Ah Chen returned to Luo City two and a half hours ago. Why haven’t they come home?

Why did they turn off their phones?

Where did they go?”
