Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 992: Chapter 992: Take a Sip

Qin Yu was very meticulous, checking all the materials carefully. Once he confirmed there were no issues with the materials, he nodded at Hu Baoguo, signaling him that he could begin.

Hu Baoguo meticulously cleaned various experimental apparatus, and quickly, the equipment was ready.

Hu Baoguo added the medicinal herbs to the juicer in a precise ratio, and soon, he collected half a beaker of yellow-brown liquid.

The liquid emitted a faint fragrance, refreshing and pleasing to the senses. Qin Yu asked with an odd expression, “Uncle Hu, the medicinal juice smells pretty good, why would it stink?”

“Xiao Qin, don’t be in a rush!”

Hu Baoguo boiled the water and added ingredients like white sugar and honey to the hot water, and finally, he poured the herbal juice into the hot water according to a specific ratio.

Before the herbal juice was added, everything was normal, but as soon as it was poured into the hot water, a faint stench began to emanate.

The stench grew stronger and stronger, becoming unbearably foul!

Qin Yu was a bit stunned. What was this? He was certain and sure that the substances in the formula shouldn’t produce any foul-smelling chemical reactions!

“Xiao Qin, I didn’t lie to you, did I? I don’t know what’s going on either. The beverage I create always ends up smelly!”

Li Erniu also looked regretful, “At the beginning, Manager Xiang planned to focus on this health beverage, but unfortunately, before Uncle Hu could solve the problem with the stench, Manager Xiang got into a car accident!

Director Su didn’t know much about the beverage factory. Seeing it wasn’t making money, she cut off the research funding!

And just like that, it’s been over a decade!”

Qin Yu looked at Hu Baoguo with deep respect, “It seems that Uncle Hu is very attached to the beverage factory, holding onto it even when he hasn’t been able to fulfill his ambitions.”

“Ah! I planned to stay here for a lifetime, hoping the Su Group’s beverage factory could break even and bring profits to the group!

But I have the strength and nowhere to apply it!

Moreover, over these years, I’ve been using my meager salary to persist in conducting research!

But these past few months, with the salary being delayed again and again, I can no longer hold on!”

Qin Yu looked up to Hu Baoguo with great admiration. This endearing old man might not be a great figure, but his character was incredibly noble, and he deserved respect!

Qin Yu bowed deeply to Hu Baoguo, “Uncle Hu, rest assured, the Su Group will definitely undergo certain changes, and will surely provide you with the funds for research!

We will be able to turn a profit, and might even become the star enterprise of the Su Clan!”

Qin Yu’s words comforted Hu Baoguo, but he just gently shook his head; after more than a decade, he had lost hope.

Qin Yu turned his attention back to the beaker, lifted it up, and cautiously took a whiff. Unfortunately, aside from the stench, Qin Yu couldn’t detect anything else.

Qin Yu frowned and sipped just a little bit!

Stinky! Truly damned stinky!

Qin Yu almost spat the drink out from his mouth!

Suddenly, his eyes lit up because the foul odor didn’t last long and dissipated quickly.

After the stench vanished, the taste in Qin Yu’s mouth turned incredibly sweet!

“I’ve got it! I know why the beverage stinks!” Qin Yu gulped down the drink and became extremely excited. He saw the hope for the revival of the beverage factory!

“Xiao Qin, stop kidding around. I’ve been researching for over a decade and haven’t figured out why the beverage turns smelly. How could you possibly have found the reason?”

“Uncle Hu, have a taste and you’ll know,” Qin Yu said as he handed the beaker to Hu Baoguo.
