Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1494: Chapter 9-23: Blitzkrieg (6)_2

This is the first of the six major battlezones the bandit army is about to traverse.

From here heading north, the six major battlezones align one after the other, and once the attack is launched, it cannot be stopped. Like the flapping wings of a butterfly, only after stirring thousands of miles can it form the engulfing Hurricane, but if obstructed at a certain point, once Bellif reacts, the massive Western Alliance Army can trap this breeze within an iron wall from all directions.

We must continue north, and further north! Break through all enemy forces along the way, kick away all obstacles until reaching Sunset Mountain!

On the Mecha computer console, a few crisp electronic prompts sounded. On the screen, the flanking vanguard units have already approached Saint John Town, less than two kilometers away from the battlefield where combat is engaging. The preparations for battle are complete, just awaiting the final order.

Fatty sat up straight, seriously analyzing the battlefield situation, drawing several lines of varying lengths and angles of attack on the computer screen.

This is now his routine before every attack. Seeing through the opponent, grasping the pulse of the battlefield, and drafting attack routes as precise as a scalpel is the duty of a Commander. From this moment on, he must continue with these actions, all the way to Leray, and even to Binart, to end this war!

And before that, he must pierce through this path of thorns within eighteen hours!

The signal was transmitted from Logic’s computer to the Command Mecha, and then to the vanguard unit several kilometers away.

Five.....four....three.... The world seemed to fall silent at this moment. The Mechas that have reached designated locations are hidden in the night. Warriors quietly watched the numbers on the Mecha computer screen decrease. Some took deep breaths, some took the time to stuff food into their mouths....

Two.....one.....

When all the Mecha control panel indicator lights lit up simultaneously, tens of thousands of steel Fierce Beasts leaped from the mountains and jungles!

Rolling iron flow, roaring, passed over valleys, surged over hills, and raced down the uneven horizon.

The battlefield is just ahead!

********************************************************************************

A Chuckna Mechanic panted, pulling the control stick with both hands.

The scarred Mecha roared as it stood up from the mud. Black and yellow mud and fragments of roots clung to the heavy, cold steel armor, with blood-tinged muddy water dripping down.

The cockpit cover was shattered. Cracks like spider webs crawled across the high-strength bulletproof glass. Several irregular fragments scattered in front of the control console. The hole in the left side of the control console cover and the bloody wounds on the limp left hand were souvenirs from a deadly struggle with a Suss Madman Mecha just now.

The Suss Mecha, smashed into a heap of scrap iron, lay at the feet of the exhausted Chuckna Mechanic. The Mecha’s outer shell was completely deformed, with the body twisted into a bizarre shape. Fiery flames soared into the sky, licking and twisting the charred body inside the cockpit, casting flickering shadows over the victor in front.

On the hilltop, hundreds of both sides’ Mechas were fiercely exchanging fire. Further away on the hillside and below, countless Suss Mechas and Chuckna Mechas were locked in bloody combat. These struggling silhouettes stretched out beyond the distant horizon. Rising mushroom clouds from the overwhelming Mecha battle group, with the intense energy cannon roar, never ceased from start to finish.

The Chuckna Mechanic spat fiercely, toggling the Universal Control Stick. The [Dragon] Ninth Generation Individual Support Type Mecha, developed and produced by the Chuckna Dragon Sword Company, extended four 110mm caliber Energy Cannon tubes. The white energy aggregation tube extended from the center, converging at the cannon muzzle Energy Burst Device with the surrounding four black accelerator tubes.

Flashes of light threads entwined around the muzzle, as the Mechanic fiercely pressed the red firepower button on the Universal Control Stick, causing the four accelerator tubes to spin rapidly around the energy aggregation tube, ejecting oval-shaped energy light bombs, sweeping the front lines with four long chains of energy bullets like four long whips.

”Suss bastards!” The Chuckna Mechanic’s eyes turned blood-red, his furious roar resounding like a thunderclap amidst the roaring cannon fire: ”Come on, come on!”

The energy cannon swept toward the swarming Suss Mechas. One Suss Mecha, unable to evade, trembled as it was swept by the energy cannon light chain.

The Chuckna Mechanic grinned grimly.

Despite countless Suss Mechas surging toward the hillside below, despite his Mecha being battered and even the energy shield collapsing in previous battles, he was undeterred.

This is Chuckna’s land! For countless years, the soldiers of this country have repeatedly stood in front of enemies, defending this nation and this land with their lives!

Perhaps the memory of racial wars has faded into the millennia-long river of history, and those soldiers who fought with the oldest Mechas and ancient firearms, even their names on monuments have been weathered to blur. Yet, the bloodline passed down from ancestors still carries an unyielding gene.

The two-year war has completely awakened this nation. Facing Suss, facing Jiepeng, and facing this war engulfing the human world, Chuckna has only warriors proceeding one after another!

The Suss Mecha hit by the energy cannon was quaking like sifting chaff. Eventually, after a violent explosion, it turned into a skyful of fragments. Large and small debris, like burning meteor showers, illuminated the night-lit hillside.

Countless Suss Mechas surged over this fiery rain towards the hilltop, and countless scarred Chuckna Mechas crossed over this Mecha stationed at the forefront of the position to meet the enemy. The sound of clanging metals as Mechas collided and fought at high speed resembled a war song without an overture prelude, entering a resonant climax at the first note.

Just then, everyone suddenly noticed, in the night, a row of bright lights appeared on the distant undulating horizon of the hilltop.

Not just one hilltop, but the left one, the right one, and the valleys between hills, and the far end of the highway.... as the first row of lights streamed downward, the second row of lights emerged from behind the mountain. Then the third row, the fourth row....... gradually, these rows of lights became overwhelming!

That was a mesh of lightning, a field of scorching lava.

They rolled down the slopes, swept over the battlefield flank, engulfing everything in an unstoppable manner! The flank of the Suss Armored Group almost began to collapse like dominoes upon contact. The fallen Mechas and erupting fireballs spread chaos like an explosive shockwave, extending across the entire battlefield.

Exhausted, the Chuckna Warriors looked blankly at everything before them.

Now, he needed both hands to pull the control stick to stabilize the Mecha. Just when he destroyed that Suss Mecha, his Mecha also suffered another heavy blow. Several energy bullets created holes in the Mecha body, and if it weren’t for his nearby companion confronting the enemy in time, he would have fallen long ago.

Having lost combat power, he was the most idle one on the fiercely battling hilltop at the moment.

As the overwhelming Mecha lights illuminated his pupils, the communication channel broadcasted the platoon leader’s altered yelling: ”That’s our army, that’s our army!”

Blood rushed to his head.

In a daze, a loud bugle call for a charge rang from the rear defenses. He turned around, just in time to see countless figures leap out of the trenches like fierce tigers.

Counterattack!
