Chapter 1464: Chapter 10: He Was Right

On the arched dome of the command hall, there is a large mural painted by Mikto, the most famous painter of Chuckna three hundred years ago, entitled ”Celebration after the Battle of Holy Relics”. Numerous figures in the painting celebrate victory, their expressions vivid and lifelike.

The mural is static, and at this moment, the hall is also static.

Time seems to have stopped flowing, or perhaps it has reverted to hundreds of years ago, with the Chuckna Soldiers in the mural and the real-life Chuckna Soldiers together composing a new picture.

Only the rows of data and text on the SkyNet screen continue their tireless roll. Reflected on the walls and on people, like rows of swimming light fish.

Chen Fengxi looked at Margaret who was speaking to him and suddenly felt somewhat bewildered.

Perhaps there were too many surprises, and he was momentarily dazed. Just like savoring a bowl of delicious soup for pleasure, drinking the entire pot would lead to nothing but bloating.

When a three-year-old boy revived almost fifty percent of SkyNet with a flip of his hand, only two words remained in the heart of this Commander of the Leifeng Star Army.

——Freak!

Everyone in the bandit army, they are all damn freaks!

This strange thought suddenly emerged in his mind, so at this moment, looking at Margaret, Chen Fengxi was still a bit lost, as if watching a female demon speaking to him.

Is there something you must tell me?

This kind of tone suggests something very important. But what could be more important than a damn three-year-old little kid having restored nearly fifty percent of SkyNet’s functions?

”We need a victory.” Margaret looked at Chen Fengxi seriously.

Chen Fengxi nodded. If he previously had doubts about annihilating the three Western Alliance Armored Divisions in Frenso Town, now he had no worries at all. Although the opposition still has a Judger Armor Company, the bandit army should not be underestimated either. Their Twelfth Generation Mecha, their legendary War Gods have yet to face the opponent!

”Not Frenso Town,” Margaret shook her head, meeting Chen Fengxi’s puzzled gaze and pointed to the map: ”I’m talking about Bellif’s main force!”

”Main force?!” Chen Fengxi and Pierre, who had just walked over, were startled.

”Yes, main force!” Margaret’s words shattered the fanciful delusions lingering in the minds of both generals. She spoke one word at a time: ”General Chen Fengxi, General Pierre, the bandit army’s task here is to hold on here for a whole month, perhaps longer. Until our reinforcements arrive. Therefore, merely eliminating the three armored divisions of the enemy in Frenso Town is far from sufficient for the overall battle situation.”

Her finger fell on the map’s Sunset Mountain Satellite City: ”We need a real victory. The purpose of battlefield victory is not only to boost the morale of our frontline soldiers, but more importantly, we need to deliver a severe blow to the enemy. Severe enough that they will be unable to organize further offensives for at least half a month!”

”Sunset Mountain Satellite City!” Chen Fengxi and Pierre exchanged a confused glance and were sorely surprised.

Sunset Mountain Satellite City is two hundred and twenty kilometers away from Frenso Town, northwest near the Socrates Mountain Range, southeast connecting the Charloks Mountain Range. These two winding mountain ranges encircle this area into an olive-shaped basin. As it serves as the main route from the western mountainous region to the Phoenix City Plain, Leifeng Star’s sixth and eighth resource highways pass through Sunset Mountain Satellite City. Therefore, its geographical location is of paramount importance.

Since the start of the war, Sunset Mountain Satellite City has been the focal point of contention between both sides. Around Sunset Mountain Satellite City’s eight agricultural district towns, the Fei Alliance Joint Army has fought more than ten fierce battles with Bellif’s Northern Group Army.

In these skirmishes, the Fei Alliance Resk Army has invested nearly twenty divisions’ worth of forces, suffering a casualty rate as high as sixty-five percent. Ten divisions were completely lost on Sunset Mountain’s positions. The Western Alliance’s losses are roughly equivalent. As the defending side, the Fei Alliance has actually suffered a disadvantage here.

However, due to the relentless investments, and with the relatively flat and smooth logistics corridor between Sunset Mountain and Phoenix City able to swiftly deploy reinforcements and resupply materials, the defense line at Sunset Mountain remains firm. Currently, the Fei Alliance Resk Army stations four Mechanical Infantry divisions and six armored divisions at the Sunset Mountain Defense Line, with the overall situation of the battle relatively stable.

Upon hearing Margaret suddenly mention Sunset Mountain, Chen Fengxi and Pierre simultaneously sensed an unusual danger. A feeling of peril emerged.

”Are you saying that the Western Alliance’s main force will launch an attack toward Sunset Mountain?” Chen Fengxi asked.

”Based on the current situation, there are three predicted directions for the Western Alliance’s attack,” Margaret’s finger moved southward from Sunset Mountain: ”North of Frenso Town’s 72 defense segment, Frenso Town itself, and the southern Longxu Gate Bridge.”

Every time Margaret’s finger moved, the surrounding strategists would nod.

”Among these three areas, Frenso Town speaks for itself; the other two regions are the weakest points in our defense and the easiest to coordinate with Frenso Town’s offensive. To be honest, internally, we don’t have a unified opinion on these three attack directions.” Margaret looked toward Blatt and other bandit army officers. When Chen Fengxi and Pierre’s gaze turned toward them, the officers all nodded.
