Armed Train in the Apocalypse

A fierce battle had already taken place behind the county town.

The wreckage of a convoy bearing the Donghuang Heavy Industry insignia lay across the main road, its vehicle-mounted cannons frozen into ice lumps, gradually melting under the blazing gasoline flames, drop by drop washing the ground and spreading the gasoline further.

The flames flowed along the liquid, greedily consuming the nearby remains of off-road vehicles and reacting with the ice spikes piercing the armor, emitting a crackling sound.

Bodies lay scattered beside these wrecks, their bulletproof vests intact but their faces pierced by sharp objects.

Only scattered soldiers remained, relying on evolutionary abilities and weapons to resist stubbornly from within armored vehicles.

Outside, thousands of Pan-Asian Alliance personnel, the roar of engines from thousands of modified civilian vehicles filled the suburbs; abandoned farmland and streets were filled with clinking vibrations, followed by intense gunfire.

Each cockpit was crammed with three or four people, gun barrels protruding from the windows like spikes on a porcupine.

More had to stay outside the vehicles, using them as cover to shoot at Donghuang Heavy Industry personnel, while even more continuously surged toward the county town entrance, spilling over from both sides like a migrating herd.

The Chongying vanguard leader, with white cloth tied around his head, stood on an abandoned vehicle and cursed, ”Trash! You’re all trash! The opposing elites have been slain by Mr. Zhunei; yet in all this time, you haven’t even cleared a group of small fry. How can you pave the way for the following troops?”

”Everyone, with me...”

”Boom!”

The sudden sound of explosion made the leader shrink his neck, almost dropping the white cloth from his head. Holding it steady, he looked back, cursing.

But there were too many people, mixed with numerous buildings, so even standing on the rooftop, he couldn’t see clearly.

He could only judge from the sound that something seemed to have happened in the rear, plunging into chaos.

”What’s going on?!”

”Who’s in command at the back?”

Various chaotic questions erupted in the ranks as more people discovered the turmoil behind them.

Just then, sharp shouting was relayed through the crowd, the information distorted, and people’s words varied widely.

An interpreter came running over, hurriedly speaking in imperfect Chongying language, ”Enemy attack! The Donghuang people have charged over!”

The leader instantly flew into a rage, ”Damn it! You’re disrupting the morale of my troops!”

He drew his gun and shot the interpreter, then ripped the white cloth from his head, roaring, ”All of the sixteenth squad, follow me in a charge! Let’s crush these useless Donghuang people once and for all!”

”Roar!”

His subordinates responded in unison, their morale soaring.

They hadn’t even heard what the interpreter had said.

The leader was very satisfied, drawing the samurai sword from his waist, roaring as he leaped off the vehicle, ready to charge at the resisting Donghuang Heavy Industry soldiers.

But in front of the stunned crowd, only the leader’s legs landed steadily, as the upper half of his body disappeared in a roar.

In the blink of an eye, a shadow darted through the crowd like a nimble spirit-cat, lightly tapping on a vehicle, its body stretched and leaping over ten meters in an instant, leaving behind Pan-Asian Alliance personnel as if their souls were harvested by the Death God, with dazed pupils dropping to the ground.

With intact throats and hearts, blood flowed simultaneously like fountains.

Only Evolvers could barely see those two flickering points of golden light.

”Sniper!”

”No, there’s a ghost!”

”It’s an assassin! An assassin!”

A Tier One captain shouted while rushing toward the assassin’s location.

Just as he fixed his eyes on the target, platinum-colored beast pupils locked straight ahead, the vertical pupils compressing into pinpoints, and with both hands and feet simultaneously tapping the side of a car, they charged at him, transitioning almost instantly, as if there was no inertia.

But at the moment the agile figure bounced, the car flipped violently, tumbling several times, leaving a trail of devastation.

The Tier One Evolver had already lifted his gun, pondering where he could shoot to preserve the elegant body as much as possible.

Just as he was about to pull the trigger, he sensed something was amiss.

Wasn’t the distance between them...too close?

As his nerves failed to adjust to Kitty’s speed, an iron-like finger wedged into the trigger guard, and another hand directly slapped toward his face.

”Crunch!”

The sound of frontal bone shattering rang out, Kitty’s finger struck the heart, her pale fingers like the sharpest military blade, effortlessly piercing through layers of fabric into the chest cavity.

She then lightly stepped on the opponent’s shoulder, rushing toward the next exposed Tier One Evolver.

As a Tier One Evolver with four skills, her combat power was a grade above ordinary Tier One with three skills, and she wasn’t the type promoted from the wilderness. She had a complete training method, capable of fully leveraging her abilities.

Moreover, Kitty was now approaching Tier Two, even Zhong You and their team had to brace themselves when facing her at close range.

On the entire train, only the conductor dared to treat her as a harmless little kitty.

With snipers outside and a High-Tier assassin inside, the dual assault plunged the Pan-Asian Alliance personnel into chaos.

Two kilometers away on the Floating Land, Qu Hang observed the lightning-fast figure through the scope, secretly admiring her growth speed; Kitty was someone they had personally witnessed evolving.

From the naive and stubborn girl at the start to the pillar of the corps now, she had conquered everyone with her strength.

Lightly tapping his earpiece, he spoke deeply, ”Qu Hang calling the train, the enemy’s command has been disrupted by our team.”
