Armed Train in the Apocalypse

All intelligent life forms had moved away from this battlefield, even a few Tier One Night Demons hesitated to circle around, staring at the place with their deep and eerie eyes.

Only a small figure, holding a sniper rifle, quietly approached the battlefield, pressed his little mustache against his lips, and Nomura’s eyes showed a hint of surprise.

Since invading Donghuang, they had only encountered ordinary Awakened, the strongest among them were Tier One Evolvers, occasionally those who escaped the gun’s aim, but in front of Qianye, they were just one-sword enemies met here with a tough opponent.

Nevertheless, Nomura was not worried; after all, Qianye was the number one Swordmaster of the Pan-Asian Alliance.

They needed to show these arrogant Donghuang People that even between Tier Two there were differences.

While thinking, Nomura dropped a few hollow metal balls, which hit the ground three times then suddenly opened, releasing a delicate mechanical bird that flapped its wings and flew into the smoke and haze.

The images in the smoke quickly projected to his eyes from the caged bird; two figures, one standing, one kneeling.

Nomura’s heart relaxed; most killed by Qianye looked like this—they couldn’t even see the blade’s draw before they were dead.

The mist gradually cleared, and the scene became clearer. Through the caged bird, he could now see the clothing details of the person kneeling—an anorak, a black turtleneck...

An anorak?!

The dead one was Qianye?!

Nomura almost instantly considered this possibility but his reason quickly dismissed it; he turned to look at the standing figure.

A tall figure stood proudly in place, the white suit on his body torn apart by bomb fragments, and his bronze skin pierced with several long, narrow holes; a narrow broken sword was stabbed right in the middle of his chest!

The fierce gaze aimed at the battlefield perimeter...

The instinctive raise of his hair hinted that the other party was looking at his actual body!

Not having time to think about Qianye’s status, Nomura immediately manipulated several caged birds to crash into the opponent.

Before getting close, the image suddenly went dark, but at this moment Nomura didn’t need the caged bird’s images; as the smoke cleared, the person grabbed the caged bird and threw it towards his location, while the other caged birds crashed directly onto the opponent.

”Boom boom boom...”

Every caged bird was loaded with special explosives, with power comparable to regular attack grenades.

Seeing the opponent submerged in explosions again, Nomura felt no sense of safety, raised his sniper rifle, precisely hitting the caged bird that Lian Jin tossed; the explosion resonated mid-air.

Although just a glimpse, he clearly saw Qianye kneeling there was unmistakably a headless corpse!

’He actually killed Qianye!’

Nomura was shocked, but his hands didn’t stop; he flicked several shurikens, not aimed at Lian Jin, but pinned on the walls on both sides. The shurikens rapidly transformed, like small Gundams, popping out thin steel wires between each other, instantly forming a metal net intercepting in front.

Nomura frantically retreated backward.

Thoughts of ambushing Donghuang experts had long vanished without a trace.

He was a precious Tier Two Mechanical Expert; even Qianye was instantly killed by the opponent, what could he possibly do?

Thinking this, he started cursing Qianye, claiming the Bushido spirit required him to fight fairly, ending up killed; simply useless!

And called the number one Swordmaster of the Pan-Asian Alliance?

Practicing sword made his brain malfunction!

If only he’d listened to him, waited for Jin Eun-gi to arrive, three against one plus a sneak attack would’ve killed the bastard on the spot, why be in such a dire situation now?

However, Nomura was not afraid; the opponent was clearly an Evolver skilled in close combat, as long as he avoided close quarters, slightly delay, wait till reinforcements arrive, grind the opponent to death on the spot!

Thinking this through, Nomura just took a few more steps back and stopped.

Raised the sniper rifle in his hand towards the front, and there, faintly in the middle of the road, shone a cold gleaming metal wire mesh!

The next moment, accompanied by a fierce ground vibration, a bare-chested man burst out of the flames, crashing into the wire mesh in the middle, his sculpted Greek statue-like muscles squeezed into diamonds by the steel mesh, the handsome face distortively fierce!

”This is war... fool!”

Nomura inwardly sneered, whispered, and then without hesitation pulled the trigger.

The bullet exited the chamber, heading straight for Lian Jin’s brow.

”Bong!”

The sound of snapping made Nomura slightly stunned; clearly, the bullet was still distant from the opponent.

But quickly realized it was the sound of wire breaking; his head was slightly confused, what was he doing? Not planning to dodge?

A hand blocked in front of the forehead, fresh blood splattered instantly, but the snapping steel wire sound continued relentlessly, the shurikens nailed into the walls on both sides were directly pulled out, and the cost was flesh completely lacerated by the wire mesh.

”Trash!”

The blood-stained, muscular figure roared forward, like a War Giant, suppressing with fierce power and momentum.

Nomura’s brows twitched violently, directly threw the sniper rifle in his hand, his whole person retreating explosively backward, hiding behind the wall.

Lian Jin had no intention to let him go, punching through the wall, smashing Nomura from the other side through the wall, the terrifying power crashing him through two layers of brick walls.

Landing on the ground, Nomura swallowed the sweet taste in his mouth, didn’t dare turn his head, turned around and ran.

After crossing two corners, he saw Jin Eun-gi limping sneakily running this way; Nomura’s eyes rolled, and he angrily shouted, ”Bastard, why are you just coming now?!”
