Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Yuri nearly coughed up blood in anger, saying sorrowfully, ”That was the agreed transaction!”

”The agreed location was in Dayunpo Bishui County, wasn’t it?” Su Huan said coldly, ”Alright, I’ll leave these people to you. Just send them back the way they came.”

Lian Jin was dumbfounded, ”How would I know how they got here?”

”If you don’t take them, I’ll kill them all, and then inform Gunfire to retrieve the bodies.”

Su Huan smiled brightly.

Lian Jin suddenly felt a massive headache; wasn’t this just dumping the problem on Donghuang’s head?

Utterly shameless!

How can someone be so shameless!

Yet, Donghuang currently didn’t have enough strength to confront Gunfire directly, as Gunfire occupied nearly a third of the Northern Alliance, and their strength and influence were considerably greater than Donghuang Heavy Industry’s.

”Can’t you just let them go directly?”

Su Huan unapologetically patted his shoulder, ”Since you’re my friend, helping a friend with a little trouble is normal, right?”

”If you can’t even help with this small issue, were you just bluffing me all along?”

The two Tier Two Evolvers were seriously injured, and they had brought more wounded. If left on their own to walk through the Celestial Disaster Zone, there’d likely be heavy casualties. After all, they were supposed to be bringing warmth; there’s no need to be so cruel.

Might as well dump them on Lian Jin and let them deal with the headache.

Lian Jin looked at the two severely injured Mao Bears, gritting his teeth, but under Su Huan’s playful stare, he had no choice but to take them on.

If he didn’t agree, what if this scoundrel calculated previous debts together?

Don’t say it’s impossible!

How else could these three Mao Bears be seriously injured and detained here?

This is the reputation of the train conductor, flipping sides just like that!

Afterwards, the train conductor spent another ten minutes loading Gunfire’s wounded into Lian Jin’s vehicle.

As for Gunfire’s original vehicle?

Those were valuable; since they were delivered to him, there’s no way Su Huan would return them.

Once Lian Jin’s matter was settled, Su Huan vaguely remembered that he had a dream earlier, dreaming of many people, vaguely including Ma Hongyu the chatterbox, but now disrupted by Lian Jin, he couldn’t remember, unsure if it was indeed Ma Hongyu.

Just a dream anyway.

But the gains were real, greatly accelerating his own evolution pace, also resolving the train’s ammunition scarcity issue.

Seeing he has some downtime, He Jie grinned widely, coming over.

”Guess how many good things we scored this time?”

Su Huan paused in his steps to get on the train; the Iron Wolf Corps’ affair was too urgent, so he hadn’t had time to look at the supply inventory, feeling curious upon hearing this.

In the dining car, pleasing yet sullen eyes fell on He Jie, swirling around him a few times.

He Jie felt a chill rise within him, but it quickly dissipated under his excitement, pulling Su Huan towards the ammo storage in the back.

As they walked, he rattled off a series of complicated data.

”This group of Mao Bears seems to have raided a nearby armory, over two thousand active rifles just on their own! Plus, two hundred of the latest batch, along with three hundred precision rifles, a hundred high-precision sniper rifles, ten anti-material rifles, a thousand pistols, and four hundred rocket launchers.”

”If Deep Blue Data hadn’t pursued them so aggressively, this count would be one-third higher.”

These were all conventional weapons, though they took up quite a bit of space, just as He Jie had mentioned, occupying at least one empty train car.

The two boarded the auxiliary carriage 47; the original armory was in carriage 12, but as the equipment increased, it was no longer sufficient. Moreover, Gunfire brought in dozens of carloads of gear this time, so they cleared out cars 47, 48, 49, and 50.

The rest was distributed to soldiers and dispersed among the other carriages’ armories.

After all, besides consuming ammunition, a war also wears down firearms. If not for the train refining its ranks, soldiers would be wielding nothing but sticks.

Upon boarding, Su Huan smelled the scent of gun oil. The customized racks in the carriage were densely packed, with iron-black rifles arrayed layer after layer, cramming every bit of space. To save room, even the aisles were gone; one could only retrieve them from the top, layer by layer, from outside.

Though inconvenient, with space being precious on a train, this was the only solution.

Better to squeeze guns than people.

Of course, this is when the whole train is occupied only by their people; otherwise, even stacking people isn’t impossible.

Looking at these metal lumps, though Su Huan had long since no need for them, he still felt an excitement akin to when he first entered the armory, sighing, ”What about the urgently needed ammunition?”

He Jie pointed to the carriage behind him, exhilarated, ”The remaining three carriages are packed two layers full of ammunition, of various types, totaling ten million rounds!”

”Shells aside, though in this aspect the Mao Bears were stingy, altogether only around five hundred rounds.”

”Outside are also two light tanks, though not very useful anymore, but they come with ten shells, and various combat vehicles with hundreds of shells scattered among them!”

”This ammunition could let us turn the entire Spore Zone upside down; even the king of heaven would have to bow to us!”

Saying this, He Jie’s eyes glowed because, with the train’s previous ammunition shortage, even as a Tier Two ”Furious Veteran,” he hadn’t fired his gun much and was on the brink of turning into a ”Fighting Master.”

Now, he wished for a group of people to appear so he could go full throttle.

”With everything ready, shall we hit Deep Blue Data next?”

He Jie asked, a vicious grin on his face.

Su Huan shook his head, ”Let’s not fight yet; our next task is to find someone.”

”Find someone?”

He Jie pulled out a cigarette, puzzled, ”Who are we looking for? Such a big deal, making us roll out the train to pick them up?”

”Old Liang’s daughter.”

”Old Liang has a daughter?”

He Jie’s hand, ready to light the cigarette, froze, his eyes widening, swearing, ”That bastard actually has a daughter? He never told me! Where has she been all throughout this apocalypse without a peep?!”

Su Huan looked outside the train door, vehicles and armed personnel moving back and forth, feeling oddly reminiscent. The two reached a tacit verbal agreement in the cramped train head.

”I promised Liang Kuan back then, as long as he drove for me, I’d help him find his daughter. His home is near Yuchuan Province, close to He Shui.”

”Isn’t that near the Republic of Kimchi?” He Jie slapped his thigh excitedly, ”Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go, head out now! Besides, that bastard Old Liang has managed to sit tight; we’ve known each other for so long and he hasn’t said a word. I need to ask him if he still considers me a brother!”

Looking at the fiery He Jie, Su Huan suddenly felt a bit relieved inside.

Turning to the quietly appearing Shu Wei, he said seriously, ”Find Old Liang, get the exact address, and set out immediately.”

...

The border between Donghuang and the Four Nations.

The night street was desolate, even the mutated plants were reluctant to grow in the middle of the road.

Two scavengers stumbled along the road, their faces filled with terror, even though they were almost out of breath, they struggled to keep moving forward.

Suddenly, a faint noise caught their attention. Turning around, they looked in despair towards the end of the street. A beam of light was cutting through like a sword, and in the next moment, dozens of intense lights accompanied by roaring engines surged through.

The lights and sound intensified, and the two men screamed in despair.

”Bang!”

The motorcycle swept past the zombie, accompanied by howling ghostly yells and wild laughter, two clubs knocked the men down directly.

The frail scavenger went down without a sound.

Crimson blood spread across the ground, steaming.

A Kimchinese man with dyed yellow hair sat in the backseat of the motorcycle, excitedly waving the club at his companion on the other side, ”Did you see that? My swinging posture just now was perfect!”

The person on the other side snorted coldly, ”That’s because Donghuang people are too fragile! Even Korea’s weakest man couldn’t be stopped by them!”

Suddenly, more boisterous laughter erupted from the motorcycle gang.
