Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Three Tier Two ”Defenders” from Donghuang Heavy Industry cautiously approached the edge of the pit. The pressure of the Tier Three creature suppressed their senses, and the three exchanged glances, separating to encircle the entire huge pit, slowly entering from three directions—a strategy summarized after countless sacrifices, to facilitate escape.

In the face of a Tier Three creature, Tier Two Evolvers were no more than large stray dogs.

What truly gave them confidence was the suspected Tier Three Evolver, Lord Lian, behind them, along with an entire Heavy Armor Brigade ready to provide remote support at any time.

It was under such powerful remote fire support that Donghuang Heavy Industry dared to simultaneously engage two Tier Three Evolution Beasts, using long-range harassment tactics to constantly deplete their stamina and condition.

”What are you sneaking around down there for? Get over here!”

The sandy voice cut through the battlefield, carrying an undeniable authority.

Hearing this voice, the three finally breathed a sigh of relief. While relaying information to their teammates behind, they quickly ran toward the center.

Passing through the burst of heat, they saw a massive beast lying in front of them. Although they knew the monster was long dead, the pressure belonging to the Tier Three creature still tightened the hearts of the Tier Two Evolvers.

The three looked up to see a woman with a lithe figure sitting atop the thick fur of a giant bear. With three slight scratches on her forehead and nose bridge, and her abdomen a gaping wound, her upper body wore only a black tube top, soaked with blood and sweat, accentuating her powerfully defined shoulder line.

The woman tore open the bandage on her hand with her teeth, blood gushing through her teeth as she glared at the three dumbstruck men below with raised eyebrows.

”What are you waiting for? Waiting for me to come down and kick you to death one by one?”

”Where’s the other one?”

Lord Lian had already dismantled the bandage on her hand, wrapping it around the wound on her abdomen twice before tightening it fiercely.

”The other one has reached the designated location, the command center is mobilizing troops to contain it.”

”Then why aren’t you three rolling over to help, waiting for me to praise you?”

The three were driven away by Lord Lian’s scolding.

Just as they left, a slender figure rushed in. Upon seeing the scene, her pupils contracted, but without hesitation, she leapt to the top of the giant bear’s head in two steps, draping a clean cloak over the woman.

Then she opened a suitcase containing rows of colorful potions.

”Leader, have you advanced to Tier Three?”

Lord Lian snorted coldly, ”Nonsense! If I hadn’t advanced, I’d be dead!”

The potions were gulped down like water. After consuming one-third of them, Lord Lian finally felt a bit better. The bear’s dying counterattack had left her still unsettled, if not for the timely feedback of the Tier Three evolution, she would have been critically injured beyond recovery.

Yang Ruoyu took a medical pack and began treating Lord Lian’s wounds, while secretly feeling distressed.

Though the wounds were few, each was very deep, with delicate white flesh rolled up and gleaming white bones faintly visible, causing her phantom pain that made her involuntarily blow on them.

”I’m wounded, what are you tenderly blowing at me for?”

Exposed, Yang Ruoyu blushed and quickened her pace.

Lord Lian glanced suspiciously at the young girl, but the situation was urgent, and she had no time to dwell on it, waving her hand to shoo her away:

”No need to fuss, with my current Life Force, these minor wounds will heal soon.”

”How’s it going over at Lian Jin’s side?”

”He didn’t specify the battle situation, just said not to worry, and that he would come back to help as soon as he’s done.”

”Hmph.”

Her blood-stained lips slightly curled, incomparably captivating.

Taking a deep breath, the woman slid down along the bear’s fur, her long hair flowing, cloak flying.

”Let him stay there honestly, there’s nothing here for him.”

”If other factions come to deliver supplies, let them stay; if they dare to make demands, kick them out. Keep a list, and I’ll visit them one by one later!”

Yang Ruoyu was taken aback but quickly caught up, ”Leader, your wounds aren’t healed, you can’t fight again...”

”Xiaoshui, I just realized you’ve become quite effeminate?”

”Leader, is it possible that I am a girl?”

...

Gravity Zone, northeastern Yuchuan Province, a border area deep into Donghuang’s interior, 300 kilometers away.

The original county town is now a wasteland of ruins, with crippled zombie hordes mindlessly wandering between buildings, pouncing like lustful dogs at any sound.

The agile Night Demon, with blood at its mouth corners, crawled out of the window, glancing at the zombie horde below before leaping to a distant rooftop, looking for its next prey.

Lacking sufficient energy, zombies are also pushed down by the evolutionary tide.

However, as the survival of the fittest grows harsher, the total number of zombies will decrease, but the ratio of High-tier Zombies will also increase.

After climbing a while on the building, Night Demon suddenly stood up, spreading its arms to reveal the devilish eyes under its armpits scanning around. A piercing roar sounded as several dust-laden motorcycles and vehicles charged toward the county town.

Fresh prey!

The stimuli of flesh and energy made it drool.

Just as it prepared to roar, a sharp blade shimmered in all its eyes, and instantly, all vision vanished. As it wondered if it had been attacked, a long blade had already severed its head.

The decapitated Night Demon fell from the wall, conveniently crushing two passing zombies.

But the other zombies just glanced up, detecting nothing unusual, and—driven by instinct—ran towards the outside of the county.
