Urban Martial Saint

Upon hearing Ye Qing’s words, Chen San was nearly on the verge of breaking down. It was precisely because these two were fighting so fiercely that we’re asking you to intervene. If you don’t intervene now, when do you plan to? Wait until they’ve finished fighting? If they actually finish fighting, Bai Yonghui will surely end up injured just like Zhou Haoyang!

”Ye Zi, no matter what, you need to give it a try.” Chen San urged.

”Alright, I’ll give it a try.” Ye Qing nodded and said, ”But I need to think about how to say it!”

”Do you really need to think about it?” Chen San was frustrated. He could clearly see that Ye Qing was just stalling for time, trying to use the Bloody Monk to deal with Bai Yonghui.

Chen San wasn’t foolish, he could understand Ye Qing’s intentions. Bai Yonghui and Zhou Haoyang both wanted to deal with Ye Qing and the Huangfu Household. Ye Qing must have received this information. Under these circumstances, he certainly wouldn’t go to the rescue of Bai Yonghui; rather, he would want to injure Bai Yonghui personally.

While Ye Qing was pretending to ponder the situation, Bai Yonghui finally couldn’t withstand the fight any longer, receiving a palm strike from the Bloody Monk to his chest. Like Zhou Haoyang, he managed to deflect some of the Bloody Monk’s force, but even so, the palm strike inflicted serious injury. Unlike Zhou Haoyang, who stubbornly refused to show his weakness, Bai spat out a mouthful of blood which somewhat alleviated his injuries.

Yet, the Bloody Monk showed no signs of relenting, charging at Bai Yonghui once more, clearly intent on killing him outright.

Seeing the menacingly advancing Bloody Monk, Bai Yonghui was seized with terror, his only regret being unable to kneel and beg for mercy due to so many people around.

At this moment, Ye Qing finally stepped forward, loudly declaring, ”Blood Robe Sect Leader, please show mercy!”

Helian Tiehua had been preparing from afar to seriously injure the white-haired Ding San and then come over to intervene. Seeing Ye Qing finally speak up, he breathed a sigh of relief. At last, someone had stepped in to stop the Bloody Monk.

Indeed, upon hearing Ye Qing’s words, the Bloody Monk halted in his tracks. Turning to Ye Qing, he asked, ”Why should I show mercy? They injured Huangfu Zilong!”

”I have already heard about that!” Ye Qing nodded his head towards the Bloody Monk, gratefully saying, ”Sect Leader, you saved Zi Long; I am deeply appreciative.”

”No need for us to waste words between us,” the Bloody Monk replied arrogantly. ”I mentioned before, you spared the lives of everyone from Sha Men; this is a debt I owe you. These two have been causing trouble behind your back lately. Why not let me kill them both, so as to remove future threats!”

Upon hearing this, Bai Yonghui and Zhou Haoyang’s faces both changed. They finally understood that the Bloody Monk intended to kill them for Ye Qing’s sake. They foolishly thought the Bloody Monk merely disapproved of Zhou Haoyang’s attack on Huangfu Zilong, but it turned out he had long planned to deal with them—for Ye Qing. What precisely was the relationship between the Bloody Monk and Ye Qing?

These two had been in seclusion for so long that they were unaware Ye Qing had saved the people of Sha Men. The Bloody Monk was extremely protective, considering Sha Men folks as his own. Ye Qing’s act of saving the Sha Men was a great favor to him. Moreover, the Bloody Monk was a man of clear distinctions between gratitude and revenge; he repaid enmity and gratitude alike. Thus, whatever Ye Qing needed, the Bloody Monk would assist without hesitation, which showcased the Bloody Monk’s genuine character.

In truth, the Wolf Monk had also benefited from Ye Qing’s kindness. Years ago, the Wolf Monk was captured by Wanyan Hongfeng and forced to take poison, suppressing his Inner Strength. If not for Ye Qing unlocking the Wanyan Family’s dungeon, the Wolf Monk might still be trapped there. Therefore, anything Ye Qing needed help with, the Wolf Monk would also fully support him.

In this situation, the Wolf Monk intervened to stop Wu Tianyong, effectively giving the Bloody Monk the chance to tackle Bai Yonghui and Zhou Haoyang. These two individuals had been clamoring to deal with Ye Qing back at Chatiang Peak. Thus, the Bloody Monk and the Wolf Monk had long planned to deal with both of them, and the Bloody Monk seized this opportunity.

As Helian Tiehua predicted, the Bloody Monk initially intended to kill Bai Yonghui and Zhou Haoyang. If Ye Qing had not appeared in time, the Bloody Monk would have certainly acted. Now that Ye Qing had appeared and requested them not to kill, the Bloody Monk held back. Whatever happens next would depend on what Ye Qing decides to do.

Seeing Ye Qing appear, Huangfu Zilong hurried over, urgently saying, ”Ye, the old man Zhou Haoyang has been constantly clamoring to kill you to avenge the Zhou Family. If we don’t take this opportunity to kill him, once he’s recovered, he won’t let us off!”

Seeing the injuries on Huangfu Zilong’s face, Ye Qing was filled with rage. Honestly, he wanted to kill Zhou Haoyang even more than Huangfu Zilong did. Including the Zhou Family, back in Humeng City, when he was injured and immobilized, he almost died at the Zhou Family’s hands. Later, when Huangfu Ziyu took the Sun Shooting Bow, she was subjected to endless difficulties by the Zhou Family. Especially this time, when Huangfu Ziyu disappeared, the Zhou Family not only showed no intention of helping search but also took the opportunity to bully the Huangfu Household, clamoring to find Ye Qing for revenge. With all these grudges combined, Ye Qing naturally wished to decimate the entire Zhou Family.

However, the Ye Qing of today is no longer the naive hothead who could recklessly oppose the world for a crown. Having experienced so much, he understands the limitations of an individual’s strength, which cannot change much. Moreover, he bears the responsibility of saving Huangfu Ziyu and preserving the world, so Ye Qing must act with restraint.

Killing Zhou Haoyang is easy, but managing the aftermath with the entire Zhou Family poses a bothersome challenge. Furthermore, Zhou Haoyang isn’t the only Peak Master within the Zhou Family; there are other hidden masters yet to appear, and the Zhou Family’s strength remains formidable. In these circumstances, even Helian Tiehua wouldn’t dare directly confront the Zhou Family. Hence, even if Ye Qing kills Zhou Haoyang now, the Zhou Family would neither relent nor intensify their vendetta against him, complicating matters further.

Ye Qing might not fear the Zhou Family himself, but his loved ones aren’t the same. He could kill Zhou Haoyang, but the Zhou Family could equally retaliate against Ye Qing’s father and family. Only by wiping out the entire Zhou Family could he eliminate future threats, which is an impossible task because even the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance wouldn’t stand idly by. On the contrary, if Ye Qing deepens his feud with the Zhou Family, the entire Seven Steering Committees might also become adversaries, exacerbating the problem.

Thus, Ye Qing’s current strategy is to mollify the Zhou Family, avoiding direct conflict, which is crucial. Once he saves Huangfu Ziyu and passes through the critical moment of Heaven Earth Man Three Gates, discussing further matters will not be belated.

The Bloody Monk’s injuring of Zhou Haoyang and Bai Yonghui also vented Ye Qing’s frustration. Not only did it avenge Huangfu Zilong, but it also left Zhou Haoyang and Bai Yonghui temporarily unable to regain strength or trouble Ye Qing. In fact, after this, even if they wanted to trouble Ye Qing, they would reconsider deeply first. They might not fear Shen Tianjun or Helian Tiehua, but the Bloody Monk is different. The Bloody Monk pays no heed to the Seven Steering Committees or the Seven Great Families; should he decide to lethally strike, neither Zhou Haoyang nor Bai Yonghui would escape. Hence, this battle instilled genuine fear in their hearts, discouraging further harassment of Ye Qing.

Ye Qing’s expression remained neutral, yet Zhou Family members, Bai family members, and Helian Tiehua were all extremely anxious. The key issue rested with Ye Qing; if he truly intended to kill these two, things would become complicated.

Helian Tiehua, now a leader within the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance, naturally wouldn’t let such an incident occur unchecked. Seeing Ye Qing silent, seemingly contemplating, he assumed Ye Qing was worried about future troubles from these two. After a brief silence, he suddenly declared, ”I, Helian Tiehua, have closely witnessed the grievances between Ye Qing and the Seven Great Families. This matter was not Mr. Ye’s fault. Therefore, I hope neither the Seven Steering Committees nor the Seven Great Families will mention this matter again. If anyone from the Seven Steering Committees or Seven Great Families seeks trouble with Ye Qing because of prior grievances, I, Helian Tiehua, will be the first not to let them off. Regardless of whether they are Supreme Elder or Heads of the Seven Families, my words stand true. Though my strength may not match the senior experts, I will stake my life to uphold the rules of Hong Alliance!”

These words shocked the entire audience. Helian Tiehua’s statement served as a warning to all members of the Seven Great Families, imploring them not to trouble Ye Qing in the future. If they ignored this, he would personally defend Ye Qing. As the leader of the Seven Steering Committees, his words were slightly improper but they conveyed his intention to offer Ye Qing a guarantee—that the Seven Great Families would not vex him further to dissuade Ye Qing from killing Zhou Haoyang!

The Seven Great Families also frowned; Helian Tiehua’s words clearly favored Ye Qing. Yet, regardless of their displeasure, they were powerless to protest. At this moment, had Ye Qing not intervened to stop the Bloody Monk, Zhou Haoyang and Bai Yonghui would perish here. Understanding the stakes, the Seven Great Families’ members realized who held the upper hand. Despite their dissatisfaction, who among them could contend with the Bloody Monk?
