Urban Martial Saint

Fu Qingping said that the head of Yamata no Orochi is two sizes larger than that pavilion. However, he also said that the Heavenly Cluster Clouds is not big, which made Ye Qing very puzzled.

Heavenly Cluster Clouds is the head of Yamata no Orochi. So why is Yamata no Orochi’s head very large, yet the Heavenly Cluster Clouds not large?

Facing Ye Qing’s question, Fu Qingping explained, ”The Heavenly Cluster Clouds is indeed the head of the Yamata no Orochi, but there’s something Wen’er’s mother didn’t make clear. That is, the Heavenly Cluster Clouds is actually transformed from the head of the Yamata no Orochi.”

”Is there... is there any difference?” Ye Qingqi asked curiously.

”Let me put it this way...” Fu Qingping said, ”You know the Honored Buddha’s Relic Sharira, right?”

Ye Qing nodded, but still hadn’t figured out how the Heavenly Cluster Clouds was related to the Honored Buddha’s Relic Sharira.

”The situation with the Heavenly Cluster Clouds is similar to the Buddha’s Relic!” Fu Qingping said, ”The Heavenly Cluster Clouds is actually a piece of bone from inside Yamata no Orochi’s head. This bone contains the power of Yamata no Orochi and is called the Heavenly Cluster Clouds. In Japan’s records, it’s said that the Heavenly Cluster Clouds is Yamata no Orochi’s head, but if you look closely, the Heavenly Cluster Clouds is just that piece of bone.”

”So that’s how it is!” Ye Qing suddenly understood. No wonder Fu Qingping said the Heavenly Cluster Clouds isn’t big; a single bone, how big can it be?

”The real Heavenly Cluster Clouds is elongated, about half a meter long, like a Bone Stick,” Fu Qingping said. ”If you really want to replicate the Heavenly Cluster Clouds, do it according to this specification; don’t really find a snake head, that won’t fool anyone!”

Ye Qing was overjoyed; after learning this information about the Heavenly Cluster Clouds from Fu Qingping, it would be much easier to use the Heavenly Cluster Clouds to deceive the people of the Iga-ryu. He really hadn’t expected that Fu Qingping would know about the Heavenly Cluster Clouds as well. It seems that Fu Qingping’s knowledge is indeed quite extensive.

Ye Qing promptly said, ”Thank you, Master Ancestor. I’ll go find a Bone Stick to pretend as the Heavenly Cluster Clouds right away!”

Fu Qingping nodded slowly and casually handed the Tianzhu Sword on the table to Ye Qing, saying, ”Take this sword with you as well. See if there’s anyone suitable; if there is, give this sword to them!”

”Master Ancestor, do you really not need this sword?” Ye Qing asked with slight concern, ”The Tianzhu Sword is considered a rare weapon in the world, plus it contains the power of the Master Duwang. With this sword, it could at least enhance your power somewhat!”

”No need!” Fu Qingping shook his head decisively, saying, ”My current proficiency in Sword Dao doesn’t require a sword at all. Holding a sword would actually hinder my progress, especially a weapon like the Tianzhu Sword. Although the power it contains is strong, using this sword can more easily suppress a person’s development. Ye Qing, you have to remember, relying on external power will never make you truly great. In the martial arts path, to reach the peak, you must proceed step by step on your own!”

Holding the Tianzhu Sword, Ye Qing felt slightly shaken. With Fu Qingping’s current strength, the words he spoke were basically pearls of wisdom, and this sentence was surely also part of his many years of experience. According to him, if he wielded the Tianzhu Sword, his power couldn’t be enhanced. In other words, to become stronger, one couldn’t rely on external forces?

So, what situation does he consider himself in now? Besides the three forces within his body, there is also a string of Prayer Beads on his wrist and an Honored Buddha in his pocket. Do these count as external forces? Would these external forces affect his development?

After thinking for a moment, Ye Qing suddenly spat, realizing he was purely overthinking it. He now didn’t even have meridians, making it completely impossible to practice martial arts, so what was there to think about? With or without external forces, wouldn’t it be the same?

Having left Fu Qingping’s residence with the Tianzhu Sword, Ye Qing pondered, who should wield this Tianzhu Sword in the future? Ye Qing originally planned to give the Tianzhu Sword to Liu Mubai, but since Liu Mubai practiced the Indestructible Demon Body, his martial arts leaned towards the Demon Sect, conflicting with the Taoist Sect’s power of the Tianzhu Sword, making it unsuitable for him. As for Ye Qing’s remaining brothers around him, none of them could wield the Tianzhu Sword. So, deciding whom to give the Tianzhu Sword became quite a headache.

Unable to decide whom to give the Tianzhu Sword to, Ye Qing first hid the sword in his loft. When he returned to the room, Old Chen was still in the kitchen, tearing apart a roast chicken on the table, with oil almost dripping from the corners of his mouth. Who knows how much this guy had eaten?

Seeing Old Chen like this, Ye Qing couldn’t hold back any longer and said, ”Old Chen, didn’t your home experience an earthquake? You’re in the mood to eat?”

”What’s the relationship between an earthquake and eating?” Old Chen retorted, ”An earthquake happens, and should I not eat? You really have no logic in your speech. According to you, should people rescued from earthquake zones starve to death? Who set the rule that people in earthquake zones shouldn’t eat?”

”I didn’t mean that...” Ye Qing quickly interrupted Old Chen’s words, ”Your home had an earthquake, right? Your house is at the epicenter, aren’t you worried about your family’s situation? With your family’s life uncertain, you still have the appetite to eat?”

”Oh, you mean that? It’s fine,” Old Chen waved his hand, ”I’m just a single man, alone at home, no one else. I eat to my fill, the whole family isn’t hungry, and there’s nothing to worry about. So, even if there’s an earthquake over there, I still have the mood to eat!”

Ye Qing stared at Old Chen for a while, feeling that this old guy was lying. How could it be so coincidental that the TV just reported an earthquake, and his home happens to be there? Moreover, coincidentally, there’s only him in his family? Ye Qing felt that this old guy deliberately didn’t want to go home, wanting to freeload here. Also, this old guy seemed intentionally avoiding his identity, making it impossible to trace his true identity. What’s the reason for this?

”Hey, what’s up with you? Don’t you know it’s impolite to stare at people like this?” Seeing Ye Qing still staring at him, Old Chen, holding a chicken leg, educated him, ”Young Ye, I tell you, the most important thing for a person is to be polite. Politeness varies; you need different manners for different people, grasp this properly. If you don’t, politeness can easily become impoliteness. Let me give you a simple example; for someone like me, you should show enough respect, right? Respect also has various kinds; let me explain in detail... Hey, where are you going? I haven’t finished yet; aren’t you listening? I tell you, it’s your loss not to listen. You really aren’t going to listen? Man, that’s very impolite of you!”

Ye Qing covered his ears and went upstairs, hid the Tianzhu Sword properly, still pondering how to uncover Old Chen’s background and then send him away. This old guy staying around is truly unbearable. He could go on a long lecture at any chance; who could tolerate his personality?

After tidying the Tianzhu Sword, Ye Qing originally intended to go downstairs directly. But thinking that Old Chen was still in the downstairs living room, going downstairs meant listening to Old Chen’s ramblings again. So, Ye Qing simply didn’t go downstairs. Looking at the time approaching noon, he asked someone to send up some food and had lunch upstairs.

After having a simple lunch, Ye Qing took out the Honored Buddha obtained from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, placed it in his palm, and observed it for a while. This Honored Buddha had been thoroughly examined several times, but no information could be gleaned from it. Since this Honored Buddha contains Buddha’s power, whether this power could be harnessed was precisely what Ye Qing kept pondering.

Ye Qing didn’t know the exact strength of this Honored Buddha, but he was well aware of the power of the Honored Buddha’s Relic Sharira. Buddha’s power is above Shakyamuni, so the power of this Honored Buddha certainly surpasses the Honored Buddha’s Relic Sharira. If such a powerful force could be harnessed, it could have a significant role amid the impending chaos.

However, the True Buddha had only asked Ye Qing to help safeguard this Honored Buddha, but never mentioned using it. Moreover, in the eyes of those Buddhist Sect disciples, this Honored Buddha is the most esteemed object, crucial for finding the Buddha’s Golden Body. Likely, even if Ye Qing sought its usage from the True Buddha, he would definitely not disclose it.

Having researched it for a while, unable to figure out how to harness the Honored Buddha’s power, Ye Qing reluctantly put the Honored Buddha away again. Unbuttoning his sleeve, looking at the Taoist Sovereign on his right wrist, Ye Qing became even more dejected.

The Honored Buddha being Buddha’s power and spirit entering Buddha’s bone, the origin of this Taoist Sovereign, although also unknown to the True Buddha, likely resembles that of the Honored Buddha. Given their identical names, the power of the two is probably not vastly different. Moreover, the Taoist Sovereign being a whole string, could the powers it contains be even stronger than those of the Honored Buddha?

Ye Qing had actually used the power of this Taoist Sovereign while at the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master. When pulled underwater by the White Water Ghost, three forces within him were ready but inactive. Without the Taoist Sovereign’s timely enhancement, Ye Qing might have drowned. By logic, the Taoist Sovereign’s power can be utilized.

However, upon returning, Ye Qing attempted several times to harness the Taoist Sovereign’s power but failed. The Taoist Sovereign hung on Ye Qing’s wrist like ordinary prayer beads, utterly useless. What’s more frustrating was that the Taoist Sovereign couldn’t be removed; it felt like it had grown into his wrist.
