Urban Martial Saint

Just as this palm was about to strike Huangfu Zilong, Helian Tiehua and Shen Tianjun couldn’t help but close their eyes. From the momentum of this palm, they knew that this palm would kill even ten Huangfu Zilongs.

However, at this moment, a purple shadow suddenly flashed on the scene, directly sweeping Huangfu Zilong away. Zhou Haoyang’s full-strength palm hit empty air, striking nothing at all.

The crowd at the scene let out a gasp of astonishment, and upon closer inspection, Huangfu Zilong was rescued by a lama wearing a purple kasaya. This lama was none other than the Western Xinjiang Purple-Robed Lama!

This was exactly why, apart from the Purple Robe Lama’s ability to cross the river with a reed, who else could have such speed to rescue Huangfu Zilong under these circumstances?

Seeing the Purple Robe Lama making his move, the crowd was once again shocked. It was known that the Purple Robe Lama never involved himself in the matters of the mainland, his battles with the Twelve Green Halls had reasons behind them, so why would he suddenly interfere in the internal affairs of the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance?

Having Huangfu Zilong taken away by the Purple Robe Lama, Zhou Haoyang’s face suddenly turned cold. He had never imagined the Purple Robe Lama would save Huangfu Zilong. This matter was now troublesome, for the Purple Robe Lama represented a very powerful force. If he wished to help Huangfu Zilong, it would bring great trouble to the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance. Even though Zhou Haoyang was arrogant, he wouldn’t dare act in such a way!

However, under these circumstances, he couldn’t show weakness either. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to survive in the future.

Thus, watching the Purple Robe Lama rescue Huangfu Zilong, a gleam of cold flashed in Zhou Haoyang’s eyes as he sternly said, ”What is the meaning of this, Purple-robed Venerable? Are you trying to interfere with the internal affairs of our Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance?”

With one sentence, Zhou Haoyang extended the matter to the entire Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance. It was his way of warning the Purple Robe Lama that this was an internal affair of the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance. If you want to intervene, then you’re opposing the entire Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance, essentially threatening the Purple Robe Lama!

Upon hearing Zhou Haoyang’s words, the Purple Robe Lama’s expression remained calm. He placed Huangfu Zilong on the ground and slowly clasped his hands together, saying, ”Heaven has a benevolent virtue, so why must Benefactor Zhou act with such harshness and ruthlessness?”

”Hmph, I don’t care about heaven or any such things, this is an internal matter of the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance!” Zhou Haoyang said coldly, ”This kid shows no respect for his elders, acts without rule, speaks arrogantly, and is seriously out of line. If I don’t discipline him, how will others be convinced in the future?”

”He is young, and making mistakes can be corrected through education. Why must Benefactor Zhou insist on killing him?” The Purple Robe Lama paused and then softly added, ”Moreover, I do not see any fault in this young benefactor at all!”

When this statement came out, the scene was again filled with astonishment. Not only did the Purple Robe Lama save Huangfu Zilong, but he also said there was no fault in Huangfu Zilong, which clearly implied that Zhou Haoyang was the one in the wrong. Such behavior was more embarrassing than directly humiliating Zhou Haoyang on the spot, how could he swallow this insult?

Indeed, Zhou Haoyang’s face instantly changed color. He gritted his teeth and looked at the Purple Robe Lama, saying in a deep voice, ”According to the Purple-robed Venerable, it’s not his fault, but mine?”

The Purple Robe Lama remained silent, essentially agreeing with this statement. Yes, it is your fault!

Zhou Haoyang’s face became even darker, as he took a deep breath and said in a low voice, ”It seems the Purple-robed Venerable has a good relationship with this kid and can make such inverted statements. Since the Purple-robed Venerable insists on interfering with the affairs of our Seven Rudders, if I don’t do something, wouldn’t it let the world believe that our Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance can be easily bullied by anyone? Hmph, it is long heard that the Purple-robed Venerable is one of the Five Unmatches of the World in later generations. I, Zhou Haoyang, would like to see what kind of strength these later generations’ Five Uniques possess!”

The surrounding people, hearing Zhou Haoyang’s words, all looked toward the Purple Robe Lama. Honestly, among the surrounding people were many hidden peak masters, many from the same era as Zhou Haoyang. These people are all self-assured, believing that the later generations would surely have less power than them, thus viewing the so-called later generations’ Five Unmatches with disdain. They had long wanted to take the opportunity to personally deal with them, and now Zhou Haoyang was challenging the Purple Robe Lama, which suited everyone’s thoughts. They all wanted to see Zhou Haoyang defeat the Purple Robe Lama, suppressing the pride of these later generations’ Five Uniques.

The Purple Robe Lama seemed indifferent in his reaction, slowly clasping his hands together and saying, ”This monk is merely discussing the matter as it is, speaking casually, and has no intention of confronting Elder Zhou.”

Zhou Haoyang said loudly, ”Hmph, we martial artists, why waste words? If you can fight, then fight; if not, return that kid. The affairs of our Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance are not for outsiders to intervene!”

The Purple Robe Lama’s brows furrowed. He rescued Huangfu Zilong entirely because of Ye Qing, considering Huangfu Ziyu is Ye Qing’s sister. He never intended to make the Hong Alliance’s Seven Rudders his enemies because of this matter, nor did he plan to clash with Zhou Haoyang. But now, Zhou Haoyang is pressing on him step by step. If he doesn’t intervene, there’s no way he can protect Huangfu Zilong. However, if he acts, the vendetta with the Seven Rudders would be firmly established. What to do now?

Just as the Purple Robe Lama hesitated in his heart, a cold voice suddenly came from behind: ”Is it a fight you’re looking for? Come, come, I’ll fight you!”

The crowd was astounded. No one expected another Cheng Yaojin to appear at this time. Everybody turned to look, only to see a monk dressed in a red kasaya emerging from the crowd. The kasaya, as red as blood, belonged to none other than the Sect Master of Kill Gate, the Bloody Monk.

Two people accompanied the Bloody Monk. One dressed in white, with white hair and an exceptionally old face—White-haired Ding San. The other was also a monk, the Wolf Monk.

Seeing the Bloody Monk arrive, Helian Tiehua and Shen Tianjun both breathed a sigh of relief. They knew the Bloody Monk’s nature very well, and the Bloody Monk felt he owed Ye Qing too much, so he would surely help Ye Qing protect Huangfu Zilong.

Looking at the Bloody Monk, Zhou Haoyang also furrowed his brow. In the past few days at Chatiang Peak, he had come to understand the Bloody Monk’s character, knowing the Sect Master of Kill Gate was someone fearless of heaven and earth. He’d challenge anyone, even the king himself. He wasn’t afraid of making enemies with the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance. Now, if the Bloody Monk was indeed going to fight him, this battle would be inevitable.

”Elder Zhou, esteemed seniors, and friends visiting the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance, it’s not proper to keep everyone standing here. Why don’t we invite everyone back to the main building for a cup of tea first,” Helian Tiehua quickly said, ”As for Zilong, although he spoke out of turn, he is, after all, a junior. If Elder Zhou finds it inappropriate, I’m willing to personally educate him, ensuring he won’t break the rules of the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance again!”

What Helian Tiehua said was actually giving Zhou Haoyang a way out. If they kept debating on this matter, it would be endless. Besides, considering the Bloody Monk’s character, this fight was genuinely unavoidable. It’s better to resolve this quickly to avoid clashes outside.

Zhou Haoyang indeed had no desire to fight the Bloody Monk. He had witnessed the Bloody Monk’s skills. At Chatiang Peak, someone attempted to humiliate the Bloody Monk, thinking him a rookie, and ended up severely beaten and vomiting blood. Everyone was shocked by the Bloody Monk’s power then. After that battle, the Bloody Monk became famous, and even reclusive masters dared not provoke him. If Zhou Haoyang did fight him now, the outcome was uncertain. If he lost, his reputation would be utterly ruined.

Thus, upon Helian Tiehua’s words, he slowly nodded and said, ”All of you traveled a long way here. It’s indeed improper to keep you standing outside. Bloody Monk, you and I will settle this matter later. Helian, let’s do as you said; take Huangfu Zilong and educate him. I hope next time I see him, he’ll be more behaved!”

Helian Tiehua was delighted inside; if handled this way, things would improve significantly. He quickly nodded and said, ”Alright, everyone, please escort the seniors to the main building for a short rest!”

Zhou Haoyang shot a cold glance at Huangfu Zilong and turned to leave. Unexpectedly, after just two steps, there was a crisp sound behind him. Immediately, someone fell over, landing directly in front of him.

Zhou Haoyang focused his gaze. The person knocked in front of him was his grandson, a direct member of the Zhou family. And this person was in even worse shape than Huangfu Zilong—swollen face, four or five teeth missing, blood flowing from his mouth and nose, clearly not lightly injured.

Seeing his grandson beaten, Zhou Haoyang became furious and turned to yell, ”Who did this!”

Before he finished speaking, there was another crisp sound, followed by another figure being sent flying over. By now, Zhou Haoyang had seen clearly: the Bloody Monk was the one beating them. As he watched, the Bloody Monk slapped a third person in the face. All three people being beaten were members of the Zhou family!

”******!” Zhou Haoyang, in a fury, charged forward, swinging at the Bloody Monk.

The Bloody Monk had been ready for this. As soon as Zhou Haoyang charged, the Bloody Monk simultaneously counterattacked. The two exchanged numerous moves, landing at the same time without harming one another. Yet, a fourth person from the Zhou family stood not far away and was slapped flying by the Bloody Monk.

The crowd was bewildered by the situation. Helian Tiehua had just managed to change the atmosphere, planning to lead everyone into the main building. Why did the Bloody Monk suddenly start beating the Zhou family members? By acting this way, wasn’t the Bloody Monk challenging the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance?
