Urban Martial Saint

Helian Tiehua worked swiftly, and by noon the next day, news had already arrived that the Purple Robe Lama was on his way to Shenchuan City. As for Nalan Jingwei, there was still no news. To be precise, the people sent by Helian Tiehua to the Capital hadn’t yet found anyone from the Nalan Family.

After the incident with the Sun Shooting Bow in Humeng City, the Wanyan Family were the first to hide away, all the family members disappeared without a trace. After the matter of the Corpse Ghost Dragon arose, the Nalan Family also disappeared immediately, clearly avoiding the Corpse Ghost Dragon.

It’s no wonder, the Corpse Ghost Dragon is so powerful that neither the Wanyan Family nor the Nalan Family could possibly contend with it. Moreover, these two families are so well-known that the Corpse Ghost Dragon might very well trouble them. Under such circumstances, the Nalan Family opted to cut off an arm to save their lives, giving up land they had managed for years to hide completely. Otherwise, by the time the Corpse Ghost Dragon finds them, it could be a crisis of extinction.

The news that the Purple Robe Lama was coming had already slightly uplifted everyone’s spirits. And Helian Tiehua had sent more people to the Capital to search for the Nalan Family because, after all, against the Corpse Ghost Dragon, having the move Step by Step Golden Lotus learned by Nalan Jingwei was imperative. Otherwise, without the Buddha’s Left Hand, there would be no chance of victory in this battle.

In these two days, Ye Qing had specially sent many people to various places to protect those children they had sent back. However, he still couldn’t prevent the killings from happening; in those two days, more than twenty more children were killed. To date, half of the children Ye Qing had saved back then had already been killed.

This situation greatly angered Ye Qing, but he was at a loss for what to do. Now they were trapped in Shenchuan City, unable to personally investigate the matter nor stop the killings.

Moreover, no news had come back from Black Bear’s side in these two days. Every time Ye Qing dreamed, he would dream of his younger brother Ye Jun but was never able to reach him, which made him feel extremely anguished. However, despite the anguish, he had no means, as dealing with the Corpse Ghost Dragon was the most important matter. If the Corpse Ghost Dragon was not defeated, even if Ye Qing could find the culprits and save the remaining children, even if he could find his younger brother Ye Jun, what of it? If the Corpse Ghost Dragon remained invincible under the heavens, just how many people would die at his hands?

Therefore, by the third day, Ye Qing simply stopped thinking about these matters. With the battle against the Corpse Ghost Dragon imminent, Ye Qing needed to maintain his best state, prepared to fight to the death.

By the third day, the Purple Robe Lama still hadn’t arrived in Shenchuan City, and the people Helian Tiehua had sent to the Capital still hadn’t contacted the Nalan Family, which made everyone worried.

The Purple Robe Lama was confirmed to be coming, but if Nalan Jingwei couldn’t be found, even if the Purple Robe Lama came, it wouldn’t mean much. It’s necessary to gather the six secret techniques of Patriarch Bodhidharma to wield the Buddha’s Left Hand; otherwise, it would be ineffective.

Unable to find anyone from the Nalan Family, everyone felt helpless. The situation was very troublesome, with the Corpse Ghost Dragon in the suburbs of Shenchuan City, no one could leave Shenchuan City freely, for fear of being ambushed by the Corpse Ghost Dragon. And with the Corpse Ghost Dragon being locked onto by Shijia and Wuhua Monk, he couldn’t leave either, or they would surely join forces to intercept him. So, both sides were in a complete standoff, unable to do anything to each other, and unable to leave Shenchuan City, which made it impossible for them to go to the Capital to search for Nalan Jingwei.

By noon on the third day, everyone was sitting in the hall, and although not everyone had gathered, they practiced the secret techniques of Patriarch Bodhidharma here every day to use them flexibly and to cooperate closely when fighting the Corpse Ghost Dragon.

Ye Qing’s Power of Dragon Elephant was also practiced to perfection by him. However, his meridians were still growing slowly, and although he still possessed acme-level power, he was unable to unleash it. At this rate, if he were to activate the Buddha’s Left Hand, the surging power would surely cause his body to explode and perish!

As everyone was practicing their unique skills, Shen Tianjun, who had been standing outside the door, and the masked elder stopped simultaneously. The two exchanged glances and ran out of the courtyard without hesitation.

While those inside the hall were still puzzled, at this moment, Helian Tiehua’s face suddenly changed inside the room, and he hurried outside as well. Shortly after, Bloody Monk also rushed out, closely followed by Wolf Monk.

”Someone’s here!” Helian Tiehua was just outside when Ding Lianshun exclaimed in a low voice.

”And it’s a master!” Yin Xianzi furrowed her brows and rushed out together with Ding Lianshun.

At this moment, Ye Qing finally understood what was happening. Judging by their appearances, they must have heard someone approaching. In these troubled times, regardless of who came over, everyone had to be very vigilant.

Ye Qing also quickly followed the crowd out, and just as he stepped out of the courtyard, he saw Shen Tianjun, the masked elder, Helian Tiehua, Bloody Monk, and others surrounding an old man. And this old man was none other than Nalan Jingwei!

Seeing Nalan Jingwei, Ye Qing couldn’t help but be stunned. It really was like finding something effortlessly. Everyone had been worried about how to find Nalan Jingwei, and he unexpectedly came personally to Shenchuan City and appeared in this manor. This was perfectly in line with everyone’s wishes.

”Ah, so it was you, Brother Nalan!” Shen Tianjun laughed out loud, glancing at the few people next to him, and his expression obviously eased a bit. Finding Nalan Jingwei meant there was hope in dealing with the Corpse Ghost Dragon.

”Brother Shen, long time no see!” Nalan Jingwei chuckled softly. There were many people present, and quite a few had grudges with him. He hadn’t yet fallen out with Shen Tianjun, so he could only greet him first.

”Alas!” Shen Tianjun sighed. Although his situation was still okay, the events at Shen Family Manor were a scar in his heart.

Seeing Shen Tianjun like this, Nalan Jingwei immediately said: ”Brother Shen, I’ve heard about the matters of Shen Family Manor. Brother Shen and I are very close, and such things happening in your family makes me feel uncomfortable too. Today, I come for this matter. The Corpse Ghost Dragon has committed numerous evils and is a public enemy under the heavens. You all have been holding off the Corpse Ghost Dragon in Shenchuan City, ensuring peace under the heavens, and this act makes me deeply admire you. Today, I come to fight alongside you all against the Corpse Ghost Dragon. Although my strength is insufficient, I am willing to contribute my bit.”

Upon hearing Nalan Jingwei’s words, everyone couldn’t help but look at each other. They hadn’t even gotten the chance to ask Nalan Jingwei to help against the Corpse Ghost Dragon, yet Nalan Jingwei offered first, saving everyone the trouble. However, with Nalan Jingwei’s personality, why would he get himself involved in this matter? What has happened that made Nalan Jingwei so bold to personally come to join forces against the Corpse Ghost Dragon?

In fact, what everyone didn’t know was that Nalan Jingwei had come all this way, personally to help deal with the Corpse Ghost Dragon, was completely compelled to do so. After all, the one captured by the Corpse Ghost Dragon, Luan Ping, was his martial uncle and had been with the Nalan Family for many years, knowing Nalan Family secrets very well. Previously, he assumed Luan Ping was dead, so he fled immediately. Unexpectedly, Luan Ping was still alive under the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s command, not dead at all, and this made him anxious.

If Luan Ping were alive, he would surely reveal the Nalan Family’s secrets to the Corpse Ghost Dragon. And given the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s character, he would undoubtedly strike against the Nalan Family. With the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s overbearing power, the Nalan Family definitely couldn’t withstand him, and everything accumulated over the years might be taken by the Corpse Ghost Dragon. So, during this time, Nalan Jingwei was extremely worried about the possibility of the group in Shenchuan City being defeated. If Shenchuan City’s final defense fell, then next would surely be his Nalan Family. Thus, at this point, he had no time to consider other matters, his biggest wish being to kill the Corpse Ghost Dragon.

However, he had not dared to surface before because the people in Shenchuan City were not a match for the Corpse Ghost Dragon. If he appeared, he might die along with them. This time, he received news that Ye Qing had obtained the secret techniques left by Patriarch Bodhidharma, capable of killing the Corpse Ghost Dragon, and this gave him hope. So, after arranging some affairs within the Nalan Family, he flew directly to Shenchuan City.

This time he came to Shenchuan City with two main purposes: firstly, to join the others in killing the Corpse Ghost Dragon to win some fame for the Nalan Family, given that the Corpse Ghost Dragon was a public enemy. Secondly, he primarily wanted to see for himself what secret technique Ye Qing had obtained. If possible, he would like to steal this secret technique, for the power of Patriarch Bodhidharma’s techniques is terrifying. If he could obtain the technique that could kill the Corpse Ghost Dragon, the Nalan Family’s power would definitely increase significantly.

With these calculations in mind, Nalan Jingwei arrived in Shenchuan City, fearing to alarm the Corpse Ghost Dragon, he did not announce his presence, but stealthily entered the manor of the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance. Upon entering, he was immediately detected by the others. Even though his skill was formidable, the manor had been filled with masters these days, he couldn’t evade everyone’s ears.

Everyone naturally had no idea what calculations Nalan Jingwei was weighing in his mind, but since Nalan Jingwei had arrived, they were all certainly very happy. At least now, there was hope of killing the Corpse Ghost Dragon.

”Brother Nalan indeed knows the greater good!” Shen Tianjun clasped his hands towards Nalan Jingwei and said, ”With Brother Nalan’s help this time, against the Corpse Ghost Dragon, we’ve already won half the battle!”

”Brother Shen is too kind. Shenchuan City is full of masters, and everyone’s strength surpasses mine. Brother Shen’s words, Nalan wouldn’t dare to accept!” Nalan Jingwei replied courteously, as he still wasn’t clear about the meaning of Shen Tianjun’s words.
