”I pushed the coffin open, so now I have to go check it out?” Handsome Fatty Wang glared and said, ”What kind of nonsense reasoning is this?”

”You caused the trouble yourself, if you don’t go check, who do you expect to take the blame for you?” Nine-Fingers Wu Yong retorted angrily.

”I...” Handsome Fatty Wang looked at Ye Qing, who shrugged helplessly and said, ”Don’t look at me, even if we vote, the two of us can’t outvote all of them.”

”Damn!” Handsome Fatty Wang suddenly got angry and said, ”Hell, I’m not accepting this. If I don’t check it out, are we just going to not continue? Let’s go home, Young Ye; there’s no point in us meddling here.”

Ye Qing knew the fatty said this out of anger, of course Ye Qing wouldn’t just leave like that.

The fatty stomped over angrily, hands on hips, pointing at Nine-Fingers Wu Yong, saying, ”Old Nine Wu, I’m asking you once more: are you sending someone to check it out or not?”

While Handsome Fatty Wang spoke, the eyes of Nine-Fingers Wu Yong’s group were slowly widening, as if seeing something unbelievable. However, Handsome Fatty Wang didn’t feel anything yet and kept lecturing the crowd, hands on hips.

”Fatty, get down!” Ye Qing suddenly shouted loudly, startling Handsome Fatty Wang with a shiver. But, this guy wasn’t stupid; he knew Ye Qing wouldn’t shout without reason. So, hearing Ye Qing’s voice, he immediately dropped to the ground.

In front of Handsome Fatty Wang, Nine-Fingers Wu Yong and the others turned around and ran, not lingering a bit. Ye Qing dashed over swiftly, grabbed Handsome Fatty Wang’s arm, and forcefully yanked him forward, pulling him over directly. Ye Qing exerted so much force that Handsome Fatty Wang almost slammed headfirst into the wooden coffin, which scared him into howling loudly.

No matter what’s inside that coffin, it’s extremely terrifying. Falling in there would be disastrous.

”Damn it, Young Ye, are you trying to scare Fat Lord to death?” Handsome Fatty Wang got up, covered in dust, turning around ready to curse more. But, as he saw the situation behind him, he was stunned again.

The spot where he had been standing was now occupied by a huge saber. If Ye Qing hadn’t yanked him away, the saber might’ve already sliced him in half.

The long saber was held by someone in armor, awe-inspiring with the armor and weapon.

Instantly furious, Handsome Fatty Wang jumped up from the ground, pointing at that person, angrily cursing, ”Damn it, attacking Fat Lord, are you even a man...”

”Shut up, you dead fatty!” Nine-Fingers Wu Yong pulled Handsome Fatty Wang aside.

”What?” Handsome Fatty Wang said displeased, ”That bastard attacks Fat Lord, and I can’t even curse?”

”Curse your uncle, take a good look, is there anyone inside that armor?” Nine-Fingers Wu Yong said irritably.

”Huh?” Handsome Fatty Wang turned to look, examining the armor, and froze again. Just like Nine-Fingers Wu Yong said, the inside of the armor was completely empty, no one inside.

”What... what kind of ghostly thing is this?” Handsome Fatty Wang’s eyes widened, armor wielding a saber to attack him? Consider this haunting.

”It’s not a ghost.” Ye Qing was closest to the armor, eyebrows furrowed, said in a deep voice, ”Look up there, the armor is being manipulated by strings.”

The group looked up, sure enough, just as Ye Qing said, there were strings controlling the armor’s movements. The armor was like a marionette, entirely controlled by these threads. Without these strings, the armor would surely be scrap metal.

”Damn, got startled, thought it was ghosts.” Handsome Fatty Wang breathed a sigh of relief, saying, ”So what are we waiting for? Cut those strings quickly.”

Ye Qing didn’t follow Handsome Fatty Wang’s direction, but slowly stepped back, said in a deep tone, ”Quickly find a way out, I’ll hold them off, but I can’t last long. The armor’s strength matches mine, if we fight, I’ll definitely suffer!”

”Them?” Handsome Fatty Wang was stunned again, asked, ”How many armors are there?”

”See for yourself.” Ye Qing muttered, Handsome Fatty Wang stepped forward, took a closer look, and saw there were seven or eight armors behind, dragging weapons, slowly approaching Ye Qing. Each armor’s top was manipulated by strings, like seven or eight marionettes closing in on Ye Qing. The atmosphere felt both eerie and terrifying.

”The... the armor is moving?” Handsome Fatty Wang’s eyes widened. He saw it clearly; these armors were the ones they had seen behind the stone pillars when they entered. Who would have thought that these armors could actually move?

Ye Qing didn’t answer Handsome Fatty Wang’s words, because the first piece of armor had already raised its saber and was slashing at him.

Ye Qing hurriedly raised the scabbard of the Ancestor of Miao Dao to block the saber. When the scabbard and the saber clashed, there was a clanging sound, and Ye Qing was forced back a step, while the armor also stepped back. The strength of Ye Qing and the armor was almost equal. The saber of the armor, whose material was unknown, could equally contend with the scabbard of the Ancestor of Miao Dao.

Seeing this situation, Ye Qing frowned tightly. He finally understood what was going on. It seemed the floor of this hall could absorb his power and convert it to animate the armor. Hence, the armor’s strength was the same as Ye Qing’s. No matter how Ye Qing fought, it was he who would invariably get the worst of it. The armor was immune to swords and spears and would not die. If Ye Qing continued fighting like this, he would surely be doomed once he exhausted his energy.

Clenching his teeth, Ye Qing suddenly rushed forward, raised the scabbard, and smashed it heavily onto the saber of the armor. Using the force, he jumped up, tightly gripping the scabbard, and hacked at the thread above the armor, aiming to sever it and completely disable the armor.

However, when Ye Qing’s scabbard struck the thread, he only felt it go soft, and then the scabbard was bounced back. The thread suffered no damage and easily rebounded Ye Qing’s scabbard, causing Ye Qing to widen his eyes once again.

Not only was the armor’s weapon powerful, but the thread that controlled it from above was of a unique material, something even the scabbard of the Ancestor of Miao Dao could not cut. In that case, it’s clear that the armor itself couldn’t be damaged either. In other words, it was simply impossible for Ye Qing to break this armor. Continuing the fight would certainly lead to a dead end.

Ye Qing finally understood why Shijia said this tomb was dangerous. It truly was perilous. So many armors, and none of them could be breached, each matching his own strength. If they surrounded him completely, even an old creature like the Corpse Ghost Dragon would likely not escape with its life.

Behind him, Nine-Fingers Wu Yong and the others were also shocked, knowing that if Ye Qing couldn’t hold them off, they would be the next to die. So, they dared not hesitate and rushed to the stone platform, looking to see if there was a passageway behind the coffin.

”Eh, why isn’t there a passage?” Handsome Fatty Wang also hurried over and saw the back of the coffin, instantly widening his eyes and said, ”It’s solid here too?”

”What’s the matter?” Ye Qing asked urgently, while strenuously fending off the two attacking armors. Facing two at once was already very laborious for him. If all the rest surrounded him, he truly could not hold them off.

”Hold on, let me find it; there should be a mechanism nearby.” Nine-Fingers Wu Yong replied in a deep voice, also very anxious.

Ye Qing stopped speaking, doing his best to fend off the armors, holding them back to prevent them from attacking Handsome Fatty Wang and the rest. Luckily, these armors weren’t as fast as Ye Qing; otherwise, he would have been dead by now.

At the same time, outside in the stone corridor, a group of people was quietly making their way over. These people were all wearing gas masks, indicating their equipment was quite comprehensive.

After a while, the leader suddenly stopped and gestured for the others behind to halt as well.

”Big Brother, what’s up?” One person took off his mask and asked quietly.

If Ye Qing were here to see this, he would surely be shocked. The one who removed his mask was actually a Sect Leader of the South Ridge Sect.

The leader also removed his mask, revealing himself to be none other than the Grand Sect Master of the South Ridge Sect. He frowned slightly and said in a low voice, ”Did you all feel that? The Yin Mo Formation has already been activated!”

”So, does that mean Ye Qing and his group have already entered the range of the Yin Mo Formation?” The others behind also removed their masks, asking in surprise. These people were the Sect Leaders of the South Ridge Sect, now gathered here.

After escaping from the Demon Hideout Cave, they had all kept a low profile. Who would have thought they would also come here? It’s certainly bustling here. However, members of the South Ridge Sect were professional tomb robbers, and they were all from the Demon Sect. Entering here, they obviously knew a lot more than Ye Qing and his group.

”I never thought they could actually decipher the Inverted Five Elements mechanism!” The Grand Sect Master frowned deeply and said in a heavy voice, ”I thought they would be trapped outside.”

”Nine-Fingers Wu Yong does have some skills, plus Ye Qing with his Famed Instrument. It wasn’t really difficult to break the mechanism.” One of the Sect Leaders paused and said in a low voice, ”However, they entered the Yin Mo Formation, and it’s unlikely they’ll make it out alive, especially with Nine-Fingers Wu Yong with them!”

”Precisely!” Another nodded, smirking coldly, ”Nine-Fingers Wu Yong knows about the Silverware Soul Sealing and would be terrified by the silver coffin. How could he have guessed that the exit to the Yin Mo Formation is right beneath the silver coffin!”
