Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 745: Chapter 725: Is the Squirrel Going to Hibernate?

```
Before I knew it, two days of classes had already passed, and the weekend was fast approaching. After class in the afternoon, while walking out of the teaching building and pondering where to go for fun over the weekend, I saw Jimo Cheng waiting outside the entrance, so I quickly jogged over to him, ”Senior Brother, why are you here?”
”Mmm, Grandpa said he’s giving you your first lesson tonight,” Jimo Cheng said with a helpless shrug of his shoulders, ”Location: Han Moxuan.”
Luo Qianqian pursed her lips. Han Moxuan? What good is going there to learn? It’s not like they’re going to make her learn antiques appraisal, is it? That would certainly be out of her league...
”So are we going after dinner, or...” Luo Qianqian blinked, as this would determine whether she should call Qin Nuan and the others to let them know.
”Grandpa has made preparations,” Jimo Cheng replied, his face an epitome of composure, ”I’m here to pick you up.”
Luo Qianqian paused and nodded, looking down at her clothes and backpack while touching her head. It seemed she would have to return to the dorm first.
Jimo Cheng didn’t say much, merely nodding, but he smiled as he looked at Luo Qianqian’s embarrassed expression, ”Grandpa isn’t going to teach you appraisal.” His expression easily revealed what she was thinking.
Luo Qianqian stuck out her tongue, feeling a bit embarrassed that her thoughts were so transparent. Then she blinked, ”So, what exactly is Grandpa Kong planning to teach me?” Her eyes rolled around in curiosity.
Jimo Cheng did have an idea, but since it wasn’t clearly stated, he still shook his head, ”Grandpa didn’t say.”
Luo Qianqian drooped her head, speaking in a low tone, ”I keep feeling like Grandpa Kong wants to tie me together with Jade?” She asked in a probing tone, making Jimo Cheng curve his lips into a smile.
”I really don’t know, but if I did, why wouldn’t I tell you?” Jimo Cheng responded.
Luo Qianqian’s eyes rolled twice, and after thinking it over, it indeed seemed to be the case.
She sighed, ”Suddenly, I really want to go home and take Grandpa with me.” Her face full of the idea that with Old Master Luo around, Jimo Kong wouldn’t be too hard on her.
Jimo Cheng chuckled and shook his head. When it came to teaching, Grandpa was very strict. Not even the presence of Old Master Luo, let alone other family elders, would make him any less tough.
Once, when his own senior brother was carving jade, a moment of distraction led to a discordant pattern on a decoration. Grandpa had him stand up and kicked him hard twice before he allowed him to fix it.
Those two kicks resulted in his senior brother not daring to sit down for two days, even sleeping on his side.
But all that happened overseas. Back in China, the senior brother was rarely treated that way by Grandpa ’gene. After all... one must maintain a certain face.
”Senior Brother, you’ll be there tonight, right?” Luo Qianqian asked cautiously.
Jimo Cheng nodded, ”Grandpa said, I’m to take charge of photography.”
”Photography?” Luo Qianqian looked confused and a little scared as she obviously thought of something unpleasant, ”You don’t mean like for a threatening letter, do you?”
”...” Jimo Cheng really wanted to see if Luo Qianqian had a bump in her head as he lightly flicked her left forehead, ”It’s for keeping a record and future remembrance. Don’t think too much.” Her imagination was too wild.
A threatening letter? The entire Luo Family probably knew where Luo Qianqian was, so why would they send a threatening letter? That was really overthinking it.
```

Luo Qianqian stuck out her tongue and just then she also arrived downstairs at the dormitory, ”Then, Senior Brother, wait for me.”

Jimo Cheng nodded calmly, watching as Luo Qianqian quickly disappeared from sight before he smiled, lowered his head, and adjusted his clothes. Suddenly, a pine cone fell onto his head, leaving him with a puzzled expression as he picked up the pine cone that had bounced into his arms. He looked up, saw nothing unusual, and casually placed the pine cone on the ground. Such things weren’t trash, and it was better for them to decompose and nourish the flowers.

But the next second, he looked up again, that wasn’t right, the trees nearby weren’t pine trees, so how could there be pine cones? Yet, upon examining the trees which seemed normal, he was still puzzled.

It wasn’t long before Luo Qianqian came down, ”Nuannuan said to bring me back early, otherwise she won’t get to eat a hot supper.” Luo Qianqian pointed towards their dormitory window with a smile, where Qin Nuan waved at her. Qin Nuan had evening classes, so she didn’t have the time to join in the excitement.

Jimo Cheng nodded towards the window, then looked at Luo Qianqian, ”Shall we go? The car is parked quite far away.” Because he needed to keep a low profile, Jimo Cheng would not allow cars to blatantly drive up to the school gates, hmm, which also led to a serious consequence.

”Hey, Senior Brother, why is your forehead red?” Luo Qianqian, curious, noticed the red spot on Jimo Cheng’s fair forehead, ”You didn’t run into a tree, did you?”

”...Just now a pine cone fell and hit me,” said Jimo Cheng with a helpless face, pointing at the pine cone on the ground.

Luo Qianqian casually picked up the pine cone, looked at it seriously, ”I’ve heard rumors about squirrels on campus, now it seems to be true. With winter coming, even the squirrels know to store up food.” Holding on to the pine cone, she said, ”I’ll take this back to the dorm to show Nuannuan and the others as proof,” and then stuffed it into the side pocket of her bag.

The two of them walked along as if taking a leisurely stroll, not feeling the least bit tired, being young and full of energy.

Seeing the car parked in the hotel’s parking lot, Luo Qianqian already had a face full of black lines. To make matters worse, the area was frequented by students from several schools. Watching the two young figures walking towards the hotel parking lot, people assumed they were seeking privacy, which sparked an endless stream of gossip.

”Look at the youngsters, already trying to act like adults, no good.”

”Rich people, huh? Did you see the watch on that guy’s wrist?”

”Gold digger!”

”That’s for sure, darling, you’re the best... mua.”

Luo Qianqian was met with a face full of black lines upon hearing these comments, and even Jimo Cheng realized something was amiss, his face turning dark as he thought of turning back to explain. But Luo Qianqian pulled him away, ”Forget it, Senior Brother. The more you try to explain, the dirtier it gets. Besides, they don’t know who we are.”

Once they were in the car, Jimo Cheng still had a dark expression, ”Next time we’ll park somewhere else.”

The driver shivered as he heard Jimo Cheng’s icy tone, ”But Young Master, this is the closest and most discreet spot available...”

”You can park further away, but don’t choose places that could damage our reputation.”

The driver wanted to argue a bit, mentioning something about two minors not being able to open up that sort of thing, but seeing Jimo Cheng’s dark as coal face, he silently nodded in agreement.

Luo Qianqian hurriedly said, ”Uncle driver is just worried about Senior Brother crossing the road safely, so don’t look so glum, Senior Brother. Smile a little.” With a soothing smile on her face, she looked at Jimo Cheng, whose expression had softened slightly. Covering her mouth, Luo Qianqian giggled, ”If a little squirrel saw you, it would show its affection with pine cones. They don’t like such expressions, Senior Brother. You look better when you smile.”

The driver, observing the two from the rearview mirror, heaved a silent sigh of relief. With Luo Qianqian around, he probably wouldn’t get scolded by Jimo Cheng.

”...” Faced with Luo Qianqian, Jimo Cheng resignedly offered her a smile.
