I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

After exchanging a few pleasantries, the two continued to eat their meat and drink their wine.

Soon after, customers started to arrive for a meal.

Li You excused himself and went into the kitchen to start cooking.

He Xianfei and Qu Feng kept drinking.

They planned to drink slowly while waiting for Chen Wen and Yu Hong to arrive.

The two of them should be arriving soon.

...

12:00 PM.

And indeed, Chen Wen and Yu Hong had arrived.

After getting out of the car, Yu Hong surveyed the surroundings and said, ”Master Chen, this place is certainly peaceful and scenic. But is it really a suitable location for a restaurant?”

Chen Wen asked, ”If this restaurant can perfect the flavor of every single dish, then this location is more suitable than any other.”

Yu Hong countered, ”Perfect the flavor of every single dish? Does such a chef exist? Even a Special Chef would find that difficult, wouldn’t they?”

Chen Wen replied, ”A Special Chef would indeed find it difficult. However, that doesn’t mean no one can do it. You’ll soon find out who that person is, Master Yu.”

Yu Hong said, ”Master Chen, you’re still saying the same thing. I really don’t understand.”

Chen Wen smiled faintly and added, ”It’s alright, you’ll understand soon enough. Let’s head over. Master He and the others are already here, waiting for us.”

Yu Hong nodded. ”Let’s go.”

The two of them walked slowly to the entrance and stepped inside.

”Old Chen, Master Yu, over here!” He Xianfei waved them over.

Chen Wen and Yu Hong walked over. On the table was a plate of braised chicken and four bowls of wine.

He Xianfei said, ”The wine is already poured for you. This braised chicken was just plated, too. We haven’t touched it.”

Chen Wen laughed heartily. ”Lao He, good thinking.”

Then he turned to Yu Hong. ”Master Yu, please, have a seat. Let’s have a drink first.”

Yu Hong said, ”Thank you, Master Chen, Master He, and Master Qu.”

Yu Hong didn’t know He Xianfei or Qu Feng. However, on the way over, Chen Wen had mentioned that both of them would be here.

Furthermore, while Yu Hong and He Xianfei had never met in person, they knew of each other.

So, after Yu Hong sat down, He Xianfei said, ”I’ve long heard of your name, Master Yu. It’s an honor to finally meet you today.”

Yu Hong replied, ”The honor is all mine, Master He.”

At this moment, Qu Feng also spoke up, ”Hello, Master Yu! It’s a great pleasure to meet you.”

Sitting with three senior chefs, Qu Feng was excited and slightly nervous.

Yu Hong replied, ”You’re too kind, Master Qu.”

Seeing that the three had made their introductions, Chen Wen picked up his wine bowl and said, ”Alright, let’s save the rest of the chatter for later. Let’s drink, let’s drink!”

He Xianfei laughed. ”That’s right, drink first.”

Yu Hong and Qu Feng also raised their wine bowls. The four of them clinked their bowls together and each took a sip.

Chen Wen was immensely satisfied. He could finally drink this place’s wine again.

At the same time, Chen Wen, He Xianfei, and Qu Feng all turned to look at Yu Hong. They wanted to see the expression on his face after he tasted the wine.

And Yu Hong’s expression did not disappoint.

His face was a mask of shock and disbelief, mixed with pleasant surprise and excitement.

Seeing the three of them staring at him, Yu Hong knew why they were looking. He also knew they must be feeling incredibly smug right now.

Yu Hong really wanted to feign composure and say, ”What are you all looking at me for? This wine is just average. It can’t compare to the wines from our Zhejiang Province.”

But at this moment, it was impossible to feign composure. So, Yu Hong gave up resisting and said excitedly, ”Master Chen, Master He, Master Qu, this wine is incredible! I’ve never had anything this delicious. I feel like I could drink at least half a liter of this!”

In truth, from the moment he stepped through the door, Yu Hong had smelled a very strong, rich aroma of wine. He’d been startled at the time, thinking, ’This place’s wine has such an intense fragrance! It must be an exceptionally rare vintage.’

Yu Hong was quite surprised. He never expected the wine from such a remote little shop to be such a rare gem.

But he kept his expression neutral. He couldn’t show any surprise or shock here.

That was his plan, and he thought he could pull it off.

It should have been very simple.

However, Yu Hong never imagined that he would lose his composure so quickly.

Because the wine was simply too good. It was far better than he had imagined. Even for him, a man who had tasted countless fine wines, he had never had anything like it.

This wine seemed like it didn’t belong in the mortal world.

It was impossible to stay calm. ’Faced with such a magnificent wine,’ he thought, ’even an immortal descending from the heavens would probably have a hard time keeping their composure, right?’

And so, Yu Hong finally admitted excitedly that he had never tasted such a fine wine.

Chen Wen, He Xianfei, and Qu Feng were very satisfied with Yu Hong’s reaction. They felt extremely pleased with themselves, all thinking the same thing, ’And this is just the beginning.’

Then, Chen Wen said with a chuckle, ”Master Yu, would you say that Boss Li You’s wine deserves to be called the finest of all wines?”

Yu Hong declared, ”The absolute finest of all wines. An Immortal Brew.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen burst out laughing and added, ”Here at Boss Li You’s, the wine isn’t the only thing that can be called the finest. Master Yu, go on and try this braised chicken.”

Yu Hong said, ”This is Chuansheng-style braised chicken. Even if it tastes great, it might not suit the palate of us folk from Zhejiang Province.”

Chen Wen nodded. ”That’s certainly true. But I think you should try it first, Master Yu, before drawing any conclusions.”

Yu Hong nodded. ”Then I’ll have a taste.”
