School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 446: Chapter 500: Silence is More Eloquent than Words

The two embraced deeply, having forgotten everything else.

However, at the same time, on the sidewalk ahead, a beautiful girl was walking towards them and saw this scene.

”Chen Nan!

She screamed as if triggered, striding hurriedly towards them.

Hearing this familiar voice, Chen Nan released Huo Xinya and instinctively looked over, only to see Jiang Xiaomi, with a face full of fury, charging towards them like a tempest.

”Chen Nan, you lying cheat, didn’t you say she was your aunt’s daughter?”

Jiang Xiaomi pointed at Huo Xinya, her acidic tone akin to overturning hundreds of vinegar jars all at once.

”She used to be my aunt’s daughter, now she’s my girlfriend.”

Chen Nan pulled Huo Xinya into his arms, intentionally making it obvious to Jiang Xiaomi, intending to crush her hopes once and for all. Though cruel, Chen Nan’s aim was to spare her from further heartache.

”You...”

Jiang Xiaomi pointed at him, her chest heaving violently.

She felt that Chen Nan must have fallen for someone else, broken up with his girlfriend, and then gotten together with his aunt’s daughter. How could he be so shameless? She could never have imagined that Huo Xinya would stoop to stealing a man from her own sister!

”Why her?” Jiang Xiaomi pointed at Huo Xinya. ”I’ve chased you for so long, and I’m not ugly either. Where do I fall short compared to her? Why did you choose her?”

Huo Xinya’s expression grew awkward.

She felt extremely embarrassed because she knew, in Jiang Xiaomi’s view, she had stolen her sister’s man, which was a downright disgraceful act.

Chen Nan glanced at Jiang Xiaomi, ”It’s simple, because I like her.”

”Then why don’t you like me?”

Jiang Xiaomi asked a rather naive question.

Had it been before, she hadn’t met Ye Yiyi and didn’t know if the other woman was extraordinarily beautiful; but when it came to Huo Xinya, Jiang Xiaomi did not consider herself less attractive, except for being slightly less endowed and a bit more hot-headed.

She couldn’t understand what she lacked compared to Huo Xinya.

”Because I don’t like you, that’s why,” Chen Nan said calmly, turning to Huo Xinya, ”Let’s go.”

”Yes!”

Huo Xinya nodded softly, taking Chen Nan’s hand as they turned and walked away.

Watching their retreating figures, Jiang Xiaomi stomped her foot in anger. ”Chen Nan, you bastard, stop! Explain to me, where am I lacking compared to her?”

”There’s no comparison, she’s the most perfect woman in my heart, incomparable to anyone else,” Chen Nan dropped those words, leading Huo Xinya away.

”The most perfect?”

Jiang Xiaomi muttered to herself and scratched her head, thinking hard about it, she indeed couldn’t find any faults in Huo Xinya.

If there had to be a flaw, it was that she was too reserved.

”Could it be that he likes the gentle type?”

Jiang Xiaomi mumbled, her mind suddenly lighting up as she realized why Chen Nan liked Huo Xinya.

It must be because of her gentleness!

”From today on, I will also learn to be gentle. After I become even gentler than her, I refuse to believe I can’t win you over, hmph!” Jiang Xiaomi clenched her fist, psyching herself up, as she suddenly found a new goal to strive towards, instantly filling her once mundane life with excitement.

”Mimi, you can definitely win him over, keep it up!”

Ye Yiyi flashed herself a thumbs up and quickly ran towards a nearby bookstore. She wanted to find some materials on self-cultivation, learning how to become a woman who was both cultivated and gently virtuous.

Little did she know, for someone who constantly used the term ”old mother,” this task was even harder than reaching the heavens.

If Chen Nan knew that his harsh words, meant to make Jiang Xiaomi give up, had instead sparked her fighting spirit, he would have wondered what he should feel about it.

...

That afternoon, Chen Nan and Huo Xinya visited the park, the arcade, and the movie theater, one after another.

They had a very fulfilling afternoon, trying all sorts of fun activities they could think of until it was past six in the evening, when Chen Nan finally took her home.

They didn’t take a taxi; they walked home.

On the way, not only did Chen Nan have endless stories, but Huo Xinya was also much more cheerful than usual.

Because they didn’t want to part, both of them slowed their pace. The conversation they had along the way was more than all their previous conversations combined.

”Stay for dinner before you go.”

Huo Xinya looked at Chen Nan, her eyes brimming with reluctance.

Chen Nan didn’t want to leave her either. After an afternoon of romance, his deep-seated emotions burst forth uncontrollably, ”Okay, let’s cook together.”

Huo Xinya’s heart swelled with joy, and she nodded repeatedly, ”Okay!”

Hand in hand, the two walked into the kitchen. They washed vegetables and cooked together, resembling a loving couple.

This meal was eaten slowly.

Even Chen Nan, who usually finished eating in three minutes, took his time to savor each bite because this meal was flavored with their love.

After dinner, the two of them cleaned up the dishes together.

Sitting on the sofa, Huo Xinya leaned into Chen Nan’s arms, her voice soft and full of reluctance, ”If there’s a next life, I hope to meet you before you meet my sister.”

Chen Nan nodded, hugging her tightly, inhaling the familiar scent of her hair.

After a long silence, Huo Xinya looked up at Chen Nan, ”Do you know when I started liking you?”

Chen Nan thought for a moment and asked, ”Was it when I saved you from Jiang Yifei’s hands?”

”No.”

Huo Xinya shook her head, ”It was since the time you barged into the ladies’ room. Although I hated you a lot then, you also left a deep impression on me as a rascal. But that was just a slight feeling. I really fell in love with you when you killed Xiao Jiji and Wang Zhi to protect me.”

Chen Nan smiled and pinched her nose, ”Silly girl, so you’ve had a crush on me for so long.”

”Look at how smug you are.” Huo Xinya rolled her eyes at him and asked, ”What about you? When did you start liking me?”

”When you helped me with English tutoring.”

Chen Nan sighed, ”Although you’re younger than me, sometimes I feel you’re more mature than me, like a sister tutoring and supervising my studies. But sometimes, some of your actions are just like a little brat, irresistibly making me want to cherish and protect you.”

”You’re the little brat!”

Huo Xinya rested her head on his chest, listening to his strong heartbeat. She couldn’t help but wish, how great would it be if time could stop at this moment?

The two sat in silence for a long while, where silence spoke louder than words.

Huo Xinya felt incredibly reluctant to leave. After this afternoon, she was completely smitten.

After biting her lip, she looked at Chen Nan with hopeful eyes, ”Don’t go tonight, stay with me, okay?”
