School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 422: Chapter 476: Injured

Out of instinct, Chen Nan seemed to notice the pair of eyes behind him.

He turned back and glanced behind, a faint, almost imperceptible sneer appearing on his lips. Without changing his expression, he held Su Qingqing’s hand and walked up the mountain.

Yun Fei and Su Yixuan followed behind, watching the two in front talk and laugh, chatting away happily. Yun Fei cursed under her breath, ”Hmph, walking so fast, are you in a hurry to be reincarnated? Just wait until you step on a rock and fall down, and end up with a bruised face and a swollen nose!”

”Idiot, why do some people just love to show off so much? Wearing high heels to go mountain climbing, as if she’s the only person in the world who owns a pair of high heels,” Su Qingqing’s voice was neither loud nor soft, just enough for Yun Fei to overhear.

Chen Nan sighed, ”I think she might be too short, if she doesn’t wear high heels, she’d be too embarrassed to meet people.”

”That seems about right.”

Without any particular intent, Su Qingqing glanced at Yun Fei and said, ”How tall do you think she’d be without high heels? I reckon, at most one meter four.”

”You’re giving her too much credit, how could she possibly be one meter four?”

Chen Nan shook his head and sighed, ”From what I see, without her high heels, she wouldn’t even reach one meter three, at most one meter two.”

Su Qingqing nodded repeatedly, chiming in, ”Exactly, exactly. She’s clearly a little dwarf, but insists on wearing high heels to pretend to be a tall and slender beauty. How can people be so fake?”

”Exactly, it’s really just pride before a fall.”

”...”

Listening to the two of them prattle on constantly in front, Yun Fei clenched her fists tightly.

She had a bare height of one meter sixty-five, and with high heels, she was over one meter seventy. Yet these two had the nerve to say that without her heels she was only one meter two tall. Even a clay statue would have a temper, let alone a living, breathing person like her.

Yun Fei’s teeth clenched with a grinding sound as she listened to the endless back-and-forth. Finally, she couldn’t hold back any longer and roared, ”Are you blind? Am I that short!?”

Chen Nan turned around, ”I’m chatting with the kid here, we didn’t name names or point fingers, why are you taking it personally?”

”She must think she’s short, that’s why she thinks we’re talking about her, and now she’s mad out of embarrassment,” said Su Qingqing, pulling on Chen Nan, ”Let’s not bother with her, let her go crazy by herself.”

”You said it, there’s no reasoning with a lunatic.”

The two turned and continued walking up the mountain.

Fire seemed about to shoot from Yun Fei’s eyes, as she felt stifled. It was bad enough to call her short, but now they’d even called her a lunatic.

This was unbearable!

But what could she do if she was unable to bear it?

In terms of wit, she was no match for them. In terms of physical strength, with her high heels, she couldn’t even catch up to them, let alone beat them up.

”You two shut up! Keep spouting nonsense, and I’ll sew your mouths shut!”

Hearing her voice filled with anger, Chen Nan and Su Qingqing looked at each other and smiled, then coolly threw two words over their shoulders, ”Crazy lady!” before turning around and continuing their conversation.

The tumultuous emotions in Yun Fei’s chest rose and fell. She regretted it deeply!

If she had known this would happen, she would not have fought with Su Qingqing for the car ride. Now, not only had she ”offended” this girl, but she had also ”offended” Chen Nan on the car ride. Now that the two of them had joined forces, she was indeed reaping what she had sown.

Su Yixuan, on the other hand, snickered to herself, finding it quite funny to watch Chen Nan and Su Qingqing tease Yun Fei.

”Big sister, you heartless thing, you’re actually laughing,” Yun Fei rolled her eyes.

”If I don’t laugh, should I cry instead?”

Su Yixuan took her by the hand, smiling, ”Although the path is fairly smooth, you should still be careful not to twist your ankle.”

Yun Fei had a bitter look on her face.

She really wanted to take off her high heels, but remembering the sharp pebble she stepped on barefoot at the foot of the mountain, and that her sole was still a bit sore, she hesitantly gave up the idea.

Huilong Mountain was quite crowded with tourists this time, so the mountain path was built with cement stairs, which made it relatively easy to walk.

Although the path was good, it couldn’t help that the mountain was just too high.

This winding road stretched from the base to the summit, a full journey of over three kilometers.

If it had been over three kilometers on a flat road, it wouldn’t have been much of an issue, but climbing a mountain was not an easy task. Having climbed less than a third of the distance, Su Yixuan’s forehead was already beaded with sweat.

Though Yun Fei had relatively good physical fitness, she was struggling with her shoes, which made walking tiresome, and she wasn’t faring much better than Su Yixuan.

As for Su Qingqing, this girl was usually quite active and at the age of eighteen, she was in her prime, full of energy, and oblivious to tiredness, so she was comparatively in better shape than the other two.

She suddenly stopped, turned to Yun Fei with a smug look, and said, ”Little Fei Fei, for someone who’s trained in martial arts, you’re sweating pretty quick, aren’t you?”

”Hmph!”

Yun Fei replied irritably, ”Why don’t you try walking in high heels if you’re so capable!”

”I’m not stupid enough to wear high heels on a mountain. Only an idiot would climb a mountain in high heels.”

”You’re the idiot!”

”Facts speak louder than words; if you’re stupid, you’re stupid. Denial is useless,” Su Qingqing stuck out her tongue and laughed out loud as she ran ahead.

”You little brat, wait until we get home and see how I deal with you.”

”Whatever!”

Su Qingqing stuck out her tongue and wore a look of disdain.

The group continued walking up.

With Yun Fei slowing them down, their climbing pace was very slow. It took nearly an hour to climb two kilometers, and there was still about the last kilometer left.

But just then—

”Ouch...”

Yun Fei let out a painful cry as she fell to the ground. Fortunately, she was agile enough to brace herself with her hands on the ground to prevent injury.

”Are you all right?”

Chen Nan and Su Qingqing quickly ran back to help.

Although they had teased her before, it was all in good fun and not out of genuine lack of concern.

Yun Fei sat on the concrete steps, cradling her right foot, a pained expression on her face: ”I think I’ve twisted it. It hurts a bit.”

”Let me see.”

Chen Nan took off her shoe and moved her snow-white foot a couple of times, but it hurt Yun Fei so much that she hissed in pain and grimaced, ”Be gentle, it’s killing me!”

”It’s not a big deal, just a ligament strain,” Chen Nan released her foot and explained, ”You just need some ointment to rub on it later, and it’ll be fine. But I don’t have any medicine with me right now, so you’ll just have to endure it for a bit.”

Su Yixuan said, ”Why don’t we just go back?”

”It would be such a letdown to go back after finally getting out and about,” Yun Fei massaged her foot. ”As long as I don’t walk, it won’t hurt. Chen Xiaonan, you’re strong enough, just carry me up the mountain.”

”...”

Chen Nan was speechless.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to carry her; he was pondering inappropriately whether he should be holding her legs, grabbing her butt, or...
