School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 444: Chapter 498 True Feelings

Huo Xinya still kept her head down, her face flushed with embarrassment, gently shaking her head and saying, ”No.”

Chen Nan slapped his forehead, ”That, I still don’t quite understand what you mean, could you be clearer?”

”Alright... alright.”

Huo Xinya took a deep breath, thinking to herself, Let’s just say it, and abandon all care for face.

”What I mean is, I want you to be my boyfriend for one or two days, and then we break up when my sister comes back, and afterwards we will have nothing to do with each other.” Huo Xinya turned her blushing face away, her back to Chen Nan, ”Actually, I have liked you for a very long time, just never dared to say it. But now that my sister is coming back soon, if I don’t speak up now, I’ll never have the chance again.”

Chen Nan was both startled and pleased.

Only now did he understand why, when he saw himself with Li Xiao yesterday morning, Huo Xinya had cried; she had borne too much in her heart.

As for Huo Xinya, Chen Nan had feelings for her too. Otherwise, during the tutoring sessions, he wouldn’t have been able to resist hugging her; it’s just that in his heart, he hid these feelings deeper than anyone else would, because she was his sister-in-law.

”You mean, before Yiyi comes back, we have a romance?”

Huo Xinya nodded vigorously, yet she still faced away from him, ”I don’t want to leave any regrets in life. I have never done anything to wrong my sister; these two days, let me wrong her this once, okay? Once she returns, I will forget about you.”

Hearing her words, Chen Nan’s feelings, sealed in the deepest part of his heart, were unleashed.

Seeing her trembling body due to nervousness, Chen Nan took two steps forward and hugged her from behind, ”Then let’s be lovers for two days.”

”You agree?”

Huo Xinya’s heart was filled with joy, and she turned around to hug Chen Nan, burying her head in his embrace.

Chen Nan held her tightly, touching her silky hair, and said, ”Silly girl, do you think you’re the only one who likes me?”

”What do you mean?”

Huo Xinya’s face was glowing, as she looked up at Chen Nan.

”Do you remember during the tutoring, there were a couple of times I suddenly hugged you?”

Huo Xinya nodded, ”Of course, you said it was because you mistook me for my sister.”

”That was an excuse.” Looking at her beautiful face, Chen Nan kissed her on the forehead and said, ”Actually, I had started to like you by that time, and hugging you was a subconscious move, not really mistaking you for Yiyi.”

Huo Xinya was both startled and overjoyed, pointing at herself, ”You mean, you like me too?”

”Of course, otherwise why would I be holding you right now?” Chen Nan laughed, ”It’s just that I’ve hidden my feelings for you deeper than you have for me.”

Looking into Chen Nan’s affectionate eyes, Huo Xinya felt sweet inside.

She knew this happiness would be short-lived, but she was content. Having had it once, why trouble about forever?

The two found a place to sit on the rooftop, with Huo Xinya snuggled up in Chen Nan’s arms, looking up at the blue sky, she said, ”No wonder the saying goes, ’We envy the mandarin ducks not the immortals,’ now that I’m with you, I truly understand what happiness is.”

Chen Nan laughed, ”Then if right now there was a chance to become an immortal, to exchange for these two days of happiness, would you trade it?”

”I wouldn’t.”

Huo Xinya shook her head firmly, ”And you? Would you trade it?”

”Of course not,” Chen Nan touched her tender cheek, ”What’s the point of becoming an immortal alone? Even if you live a thousand years, ten thousand years, that would just be lonely solitude. To live is to be with the one you love, that’s true happiness, even if it’s just for a minute; at least you have loved and are without regrets.”

Huo Xinya nodded happily, ”Yes, we should live without regrets.”

It’s only two days, we are bound to have regrets.

Chen Nan sighed inwardly, lowering his head to look at Huo Xinya’s thin pink lips and moved closer, saying, ”Have you ever been kissed?”

”No,” Huo Xinya shook her head.

”Would you like to try?”

”Forget it, it’s too embarrassing,” Huo Xinya quickly turned her head away.

Chen Nan bent down, his eyes locked on hers, and raised a finger, saying, ”Just one kiss, just one.”

After a long silence, Huo Xinya nodded.

Chen Nan gazed at her affectionately, leaning toward her pink lips, but just as their lips were about to touch, Huo Xinya suddenly moved back and said, ”Wait a minute.”

”What’s wrong?”

Huo Xinya smiled slightly, looking at him and asking, ”What’s your favorite snack?”

Chen Nan didn’t understand her meaning and laughed, ”I don’t really eat snacks. Does smoking count?”

”Of course it counts.” Huo Xinya nodded cheerfully, reaching into Chen Nan’s pocket to take out the cigarette pack and lighter, then placed a cigarette in her mouth.

Chen Nan watched her with confusion: ”What are you doing?”

”We only have two days together, and I can’t be with you forever, so I want you to remember, the taste of our kiss is the taste of cigarettes, so you will think of it whenever you smoke. Let my first kiss stay with you for a lifetime,” she said.

While speaking, she lit the cigarette and took a couple of strong draws, but ended up coughing violently, her face turning beet red.

Chen Nan hurriedly took the cigarette from her, his concern mixed with a bit of scolding, ”You silly girl, why are you so foolish?”

”If I weren’t foolish, I wouldn’t fancy you, a fickle-hearted guy,” Huo Xinya said with a smile, tossing the cigarette onto the ground from Chen Nan’s hands and adding, ”Cigarettes aren’t good for you, try to cut down as much as you can.”

Chen Nan nodded and kissed her soft, tender lips.

As if an electric current surged through his entire body, Huo Xinya’s eyes popped wide open, her mind went blank, and she couldn’t help but tense up all over.

At this moment, they forgot about time, forgot about everything.

The whole world belonged only to the two of them.

Even after they parted, Huo Xinya’s heart was still pounding wildly, and her face was as red as the evening glow, she glared at Chen Nan and pouted, ”You bad guy, you said only one kiss.”

Chen Nan laughed and touched her head: ”Well, didn’t you like it?”

”I...”

Huo Xinya stopped herself, her face blushing as she looked down, ”Bad guy, I’m not talking to you anymore.”

Chen Nan gently caressed her face: ”How can you not talk to me? You haven’t even said if you liked it or not.”

”It’s so embarrassing to even talk about it, you’re too bad,” she said.

Huo Xinya lay in his arms, gently beating his chest with her soft hands a few times.

Chen Nan hugged her tightly and stood up with her in his arms: ”Let’s not go to class this afternoon, shall we go out and have fun?”

”But...”

Huo Xinya was about to stress the importance of studying but then, remembering her limited time with Chen Nan, nodded and said, ”Okay, I’ll listen to you.”
