School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 419: Chapter 473: Huo Xinya Cried

Chen Nan could no longer restrain himself, wrapping one arm around Li Xiao’s waist while his other hand began to invade, pushing aside her neckline to plant kisses on her.

The two removed each other’s garments, their skin intimately touching.

They didn’t even make it to the bedroom, instead becoming entangled on the living room sofa.

After a session of lovemaking, they finally fell asleep in each other’s embrace.

That night, Li Xiao slept soundly because the man she had longed for day and night was right beside her, holding her as she slept.

At a little past seven in the morning, the ring of Chen Nan’s cell phone woke them both from their slumber.

Li Xiao rubbed her bleary eyes and leaned in to kiss Chen Nan on the face, ”Dear, your phone.”

”Who is it, waking people up so early in the morning?”

Chen Nan muttered in annoyance, but when he saw the number on the phone, all his agitation vanished instantly—it was a call from Su Qingqing.

Seeing the change in Chen Nan’s expression, Li Xiao leaned over to take a look and asked, ”You like her, don’t you?”

”Why do you say that?”

”It’s evident from your face. You were kind of annoyed, but the moment you saw that number, your mood cleared up immediately,” Li Xiao said with a hint of disappointment.

She wondered to herself if Chen Nan would show the same reaction if she was the one calling him today.

Looking at Li Xiao, Chen Nan didn’t want her to feel sad, so he said, ”Don’t think too much, she’s my cousin.”

Sure enough, upon hearing this, Li Xiao felt much better inside.

”Who said I was overthinking? I was just asking casually.” Li Xiao pointed to the phone, ”What are you waiting for? Answer the call.”

Chen Nan nodded and answered the phone.

Before he could say anything, an anxious voice came from the other end, ”Dummy, are you alright? Where did you go so early in the morning? You had me worried to death.”

”I just went out for a walk, I’ll come back in a bit.”

”You better hurry up,” Su Qingqing said, ”We still have to go out and have fun later!”

”Alright, alright, I’ll be right back,” Chen Nan laughed, ”By the way, tell Yun Jie to prepare breakfast, so I don’t have to rush around when I get back.”

”No problem.”

Su Qingqing agreed cheerfully, ”If she dares not to make it, my sister and I will have to drag her into the kitchen.”

”You’re such a good cousin to me.”

Chen Nan spoke cheerfully, then hung up the phone.

Li Xiao, leaning into his embrace, said somewhat reluctantly, ”You’re leaving?”

Chen Nan also felt helpless and nodded.

He felt guilty towards Li Xiao, unable to give her the affection she wanted. He had intended to spend more time with her, but then Su Qingqing had called.

”Then... could you join me for breakfast before you go back, please?”

Seeing her hopeful eyes, Chen Nan had no reason to refuse, nor did he have the heart to, ”Of course, what would you like to eat?”

”There’s a noodle shop nearby, let’s go there,” she said.

She knew Chen Nan was in a hurry to get back, so she didn’t pick a restaurant that was too far away.

After they got dressed, they left the house together.

As the noodle shop wasn’t far away, they decided not to drive. Holding hands and chatting leisurely, they looked quite cozy together.

Li Xiao’s appetite was very small, just a small bowl of noodles and she was full.

But when the two of them walked out of the noodle shop hand in hand, laughing and chatting, Chen Nan suddenly froze because she saw a familiar face.

Huo Xinya!

At that moment, she stood outside the door, staring at them without blinking.

Feeling bored that morning, she had gone out for a walk and happened to pass by the noodle shop, where she saw Chen Nan eating noodles with a woman—a woman she had seen before in a photo.

That time, Li Xiao had come to the school to find Chen Nan, someone took a picture, and later, it was sent to Huo Xinya.

At that time, Huo Xinya had questioned Chen Nan with the photo in hand, and Chen Nan had promised her that he would never do anything to betray his junior sister again, but now...

Huo Xinya had been standing at the entrance for several minutes, just restraining herself from bursting in.

In her eyes, all the promises Chen Nan had made to her were lies. His relationship with the woman before him had obviously never ended.

”Xin... Xinya, why are you here?” asked Chen Nan, a bit guiltily.

Huo Xinya felt a sourness in her heart. She was no longer just angry on behalf of her sister; she was jealous. With a bitter laugh tinged with sorrow, she said, ”Chen Nan, brother-in-law, don’t you think that’s a question I should be asking you?”

Li Xiao also seemed to sense that the atmosphere was off, and looked at Chen Nan with a puzzled expression. ”Your aunt?”

Chen Nan nodded and said, ”Why don’t you go ahead and head back first? I’ll talk to her.”

Li Xiao knew that her staying would only add to the trouble, so she nodded, didn’t dare to meet Huo Xinya’s gaze, and quickly turned and left.

On the spot, Huo Xinya and Chen Nan faced each other.

After a full half minute, Huo Xinya, holding back the ache in her heart, finally said, ”Don’t you think, you owe me an explanation?”

”If...”

Chen Nan tentatively asked, ”If I said she is just a friend, would you believe me?”

”Do you think I’m an idiot or a three-year-old child?” Huo Xinya retorted with tears in her eyes.

Facing the man she loved, yet she could only speak to him as his niece and watch him mess around with other women, without daring to admit her own jealousy—the bitterness and pain were something Huo Xinya had to endure quietly in her heart.

Sometimes she longed for Chen Nan to understand her feelings, but she was also afraid to let him know.

Because this man was her brother-in-law.

Looking at Huo Xinya, Chen Nan hesitated for a moment before nodding and saying, ”What you saw is the truth.”

Although he didn’t want to make Huo Xinya sad, things had come to this point, and he couldn’t hide it anymore. After all, Huo Xinya was very smart; ordinary excuses simply couldn’t deceive her.

”So it’s all true, and you don’t seem to feel guilty at all?”

Huo Xinya’s tears whirled in her eyes. How she wished Chen Nan could give a reasonable explanation—one she could at least believe. But Chen Nan didn’t, not even a superficial excuse.

She felt that loving someone was exhausting, and unrequited love was even more so.

”Was it her who seduced you first?” Huo Xinya asked.

Chen Nan shook his head: ”This has nothing to do with her, I am the one who wronged Yiyi.”

”For you, my sister almost lost her life, and she’s still trapped, unable to get out. And a simple sorry is all you have to say?” Huo Xinya’s eyes shimmered with tears as she glared furiously at Chen Nan, ”I already said everything I had to say before, your conscience be your guide.”

After speaking, she turned and ran away, with tears instantly overflowing.

Feeling both jealous for herself and angry for her sister, only she understood the sourness in her heart at that moment.

She seemed to have cried?

Watching Huo Xinya’s delicate figure, Chen Nan felt a pang in his heart and hurriedly chased after her.
