King of the Wilderness

Chapter 637: Chapter 313: The Internet’s Adopted Daughter_3

Little Tommy was completely convinced!

”I want it! I want this!” He pointed at the little turtle on the phone, excitedly shouting, ”I want the Treasure Map little monster!”

A family crisis about raising a polar bear was perfectly resolved under John’s clever maneuver of pointing a turtle as a bear.

Carosi watched her husband, who was exhausting all his efforts to amuse his son, with a look of helplessness yet happiness on her face.

John let out a long sigh of relief. However, as he slumped back on the sofa, he reminisced about the thrilling last ten minutes.

From his son’s soul-searching questions to his wife’s deathly gaze, a mixture of residual fear and unexpressed grievance surged in his heart.

”Who’s to blame for this?”

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got, and eventually pointed all blame toward the culprit behind his analogy.

”No way! I need to get a statement!”

He immediately picked up his phone and rushed to Discovery Channel’s official Twitter account!

He wanted to complain! He wanted to protest! He wanted the show’s producers to know their damned program almost ruined his happy family!

Furious, he typed a comment filled with blood and tears under Discovery Channel’s latest promotional tweet about ”Frozen Throne”:

[@Discovery, do you know what good deed you’ve done?! My six-year-old son, after watching your program, cried asking if I was going to send him away like Bear Daddy!]

[My wife thought I was going to abandon our son and almost twisted my ear off! Now, to console him, I have to promise to buy him a fish-eating turtle! You must take responsibility for this! #ABloodAndTearsAsAFather#]

After posting this comment, he felt that most of the evil fire in his heart was finally released.

Then, like millions of other viewers, he clicked on Lin Yu’an’s YouTube channel to see what happened next.

However, John did not expect that his emotionally charged protest comment stood out like a landslide!

Numerous netizens who were just immersed in emotions were first taken aback by this comment, then erupted into explosive laughter!

[Hahaha! I’m sorry, while I sympathize with you, I just couldn’t help but laugh aloud!]

In less than an hour, John’s comment received over a hundred thousand likes, thousands of replies, and quickly shot up to the top of the hot comments!

Countless netizens flocked to his personal page, affectionately calling him ”Turtle Daddy.”

John himself, a once unknown father from Ohio, dramatically became the most famous victim and comedic figure in the global craze of cloud polar bear adoption, in a way he never expected.

Like John, countless fans went crazy flooding Lin Yu’an’s YouTube channel after watching the program.

[Oh my! I’m coming from ”Frozen Throne”! Lin! Please! Tell us how December is doing! Where is she now?]

[I cried, I really cried! The moment when you held her sleeping is the gentlest scene I’ve ever seen in my life!]

[Lin! You must update! We want to see December! Immediately! Right now!]

[That Dr. MacKeez took her away, then what happened? Tell us the follow-up quickly!]

Facing this tsunami of update requests, Lin Yu’an didn’t keep them waiting long.

He didn’t release a long video immediately, but at noon the next day, he published a mere three-minute short video on his YouTube channel and newly reopened Bilibili account.

The video title was simple— ”Hi, December.”

The video was obviously shot with a phone, a bit shaky, but incredibly real.

In the footage, Lin Yu’an stood in a spacious and bright indoor venue. Through a thick layer of special glass, he smiled and waved gently at a white silhouette inside the glass.

On the other side of the glass, December was noticeably larger than on the program, her fur even whiter and fluffier.

Seeing Lin Yu’an, she immediately ran over excitedly, pawing at the cold glass with her two front paws, making urgent and longing ”aww” sounds.

This video acted like a shot of adrenaline, instantly calming all the anxious hearts of fans.

But it also ignited their more intense passion!

[Ahhhhh! December has grown bigger! Even more adorable!]

[God Lin went to see her! I knew it! They won’t be separated!]

[Dr. MacKeez! She’s the cool girl in the log! She and God Lin make a great match standing together!]

[Update! Update! Begging for more daily videos of December!]

Lin Yu’an knew that the epic level of traffic brought by the concert and ”Frozen Throne” was firmly captured by him.

The following week saw an unprecedented busy schedule for Lin Yu’an.

As his story with December fermented through major mainstream media, he broke through the circle completely. Countless interview invitations flooded his way from CAA agent Scoot.

Under Scoot’s professional guidance, Lin Yu’an chose a few top-tier shows with the most influence.

He appeared on ”The Ellen Show,” where in a relaxed and humorous atmosphere, he shared some funny stories of his first encounter with December in the wild, bringing laughs to viewers all across America.

He also took a deep interview on ”60 Minutes,” where in a serious and professional dialogue, he explained in detail the concept of establishing the ”Beautiful Things” foundation and the scientific and important nature of the Arctic Hall project.

Within just a week, his YouTube channel’s subscriber count soared from 2.7 million to officially breaking the 5 million mark!

His long-neglected Bilibili account also saw fan numbers skyrocketing from over a million to more than three million thanks to various video clips and spontaneous promotions, and it continues to grow rapidly.

Lin Yu’an, with the help of December as a super cheat and his own charms, indisputably became one of the hottest phenomenon-level figures globally at the beginning of 2022.

In the study room of Eagle’s Nest, Lin Yu’an stared at several steeply rising data curves on his computer screen— YouTube’s subscriber growth, donations flowing into the foundation’s backend, and hot topics indices on various media platforms, lost in thought.

He knew it was time to initiate that grand plan he had been brewing in his heart for a long time.
