King of the Wilderness

Chapter 613: Chapter 306: Brothers-in-Law Arrive at the Ranch (With Pictures!)_3

Garrett’s other wife, the quieter, equally red-haired Laura, just smiled and shook her head, accustomed to her husband and sister’s antics.

Aliya smiled and led them to another door. ”Since you all love wine, I think you’ll enjoy this.”

The door opened, and a rich aroma of red bricks and wine wafted in. It was a wine cellar banquet hall nestled beneath a red brick vaulted ceiling, reminiscent of a Medieval castle.

Beside the long dining table, a wall housed a colossal temperature-controlled wine cellar, filled with countless top-tier vintage wines.

”Romanée-Conti... Screaming Eagle...” Third brother Bo’s gaze was fixed on the legendary wine labels on the shelf, his voice slightly parched.

Beside him, his very smart and capable wife, Brenda, took a few photos with her phone and whispered to Bo, ”Honey, note the design of this wine cellar; we could use it as a reference to upgrade ours.”

Bo’s other wife, Susan, who focused more on the joys of life, was completely captivated by an art chandelier resembling ice-sealed lightning, unable to tear her gaze away.

”This is literally every man’s paradise,” Bo said to Lin Yu’an, filled with genuine admiration.

After touring the recreational area, Aliya led the ladies to a circular hot tub with arched floor-to-ceiling windows and an unbeatable mountain view.

”Oh my gosh!” the young Abigail’s mother exclaimed first, ”Bathing here is like soaking in the clouds! Martha, Catherine, we must get one too when we get back!”

Catherine was more practical; she tapped on the marble countertop beside her, asking Aliya, ”Darling, maintaining such a large tub must not be cheap in water and electricity each month, right?”

These words elicited a burst of laughter, completely easing the tense atmosphere.

After this perfectly timed display of strength, when the group was finally led to the guest room area, their sense of awe reached its peak.

”Alright, everyone,” Aliya said, ”next, the security team will escort you to your rooms to settle your luggage; lunch will be ready shortly.”

Guided by the security team, the members of the McKinley family rode several Polaris all-terrain vehicles to three guest cabins named Bear Claw, Eagle Wing, and Wolf Trail.

When they saw each cabin rivaled small five-star hotels, with five independent bedroom suites, a private fireplace, kitchen, and breathtaking mountain views, they instantly grasped the value of this estate.

”The guest room he prepared for us is bigger than our master bedroom in Montana,” second brother’s wife Jessica murmured, standing before the huge floor-to-ceiling window of the guest room, gazing at the scenery outside.

Laura walked over to the fireplace, brushed the painting hanging above lightly, and said softly, ”Moreover, every decoration here is not placed haphazardly. Look, this painting echoes the color of the carpet. So tasteful.”

Once the luggage was settled, everyone was guided back to Eagle’s Nest.

By this time, the long walnut dining table was already set with exquisite tableware.

The personal chef Irena and her team had prepared a feast full of Western flair.

While waiting for lunch, everyone gathered by the fireplace in the living room, enjoying hot drinks.

Third brother Bo, lost in thought, held a glass of whiskey, walking over to Lin Yu’an and Robert, who were also looking at the view outside.

He gazed at the snow-covered majestic mountains outside, remaining silent for a long time before turning to Lin Yu’an, his eyes filled with unprecedented admiration and a hint of emotion.

”Lin,” his voice was somewhat hoarse, ”I still remember a few months ago when I drove Aliya to Alaska, I saw the cabin you personally built, completed.”

”Honestly, that was one of the best cabins I’ve ever seen. But ultimately, it was a lonely outpost in a wilderness with no neighbors.”

He paused, seemingly searching for the right words.

”At that time, I represented Dad and mentioned to you. We were willing to offer some money so you and Aliya could buy a farm in Montana and come back to us. I remember you politely declined then.”

Bo glanced around at the grand hall, as magnificent as a palace, a bitter yet relieved smile on his face.

”Back then, I even thought to myself, maybe you were being too idealistic. I thought you just wanted to hold onto that isolated wilderness.”

He looked at Lin Yu’an, enunciating each word carefully, ”Now, I understand. You didn’t refuse our help.”

”You just wanted, in your own way, with your own strength, to create a more magnificent future for Aliya than we could offer!”

”This ranch... this home... I don’t know how much you spent, but I know it was definitely not a small sum. You’ve answered all our initial worries and doubts with your actions.”

”Lin, I apologize for my previous thoughts. You are not only an exceptional hunter, but also a truly trustworthy and steadfast man.”

These heartfelt words brought a deep silence over everyone present.

Aliya’s eyes instantly reddened; she had never thought her thrifty third brother could utter such emotionally profound words.

She stepped forward, firmly holding Lin Yu’an’s hand.

Meanwhile, the always silent family head Robert slowly nodded. In his sharp eyes, the slight worry he had always harbored for Lin Yu’an, who had taken away his precious daughter, vanished entirely at this moment.

His daughter did not choose wrong; this young man is not only capable of providing her with the most luxurious life, but he also bears the responsibility and commitment of keeping a promise quietly in his heart and realizing it beyond measure with strength.

Entrusting his daughter to a man stronger than himself was the greatest comfort for a father.

Lin Yu’an looked at Bo, a sincere smile on his face.

”Bo, you overstate. We are family. I just want to create the most solid and peaceful harbor for Aliya and Emily, for the children. This place is also your home in the future.”

This conversation instantly brought everyone closer. The slight sense of alienation caused by excessive luxury was wholly dissolved at this moment, wrapped in the word family.
