King of the Wilderness

Chapter 602: Chapter 303: Arctic Home Project Finalized

”First, regarding the glass curtain wall.”

”Mr. Hammond, I completely understand and admire your persistence on the concept of 100% seamless connectivity, which is undeniably visually perfect.”

He then shifted the tone, ”However, Li Gong’s concerns about long-term maintenance costs and reliability under extreme weather are critical.”

”I do not want December’s home to become an expensive toy requiring constant repairs in ten years.”

”Furthermore, the significant cost difference between three million and eight million US Dollars allows us to allocate more budget to more critical areas.”

”Therefore, on this issue, I choose the sliding curtain wall scheme proposed by the Chinese team.”

Li Wenbo’s team on the other side of the screen had a trace of joy in their eyes but maintained professionalism and restraint.

”Secondly, regarding the visitor area.”

”This is a more complex choice, Mr. Hammond’s underwater tunnel will undoubtedly provide future visitors with a unique sensory experience.”

”This will be very helpful in enhancing the public influence and attraction of our foundation.”

”But similarly, Li Gong’s team proposed using Wyoming’s regulations to define the visitor area as an educational facility to obtain permanent property tax exemption, which is also very tempting.”

”This is a cost optimization from an operational level, filled with Eastern wisdom.”

He pondered for a moment and gave a fusion answer that surprised everyone.

”Therefore, my decision is to have both.”

In the midst of everyone’s surprised look, he explained: ”We will adopt the Chinese team’s observation mountain as the main design and transform it into a research observation station integrating science popularization, education, and scientific research, to ensure we can enjoy tax exemptions.”

”However,” he looked at Hammond, ”inside this observation mountain, one of the observation points must implement your underwater gallery concept!”

”We can excavate a passage through the underground part of the mountain, connecting to the underwater of Ice River Bay.”

”Visitors, after undergoing a series of Arctic ecological science education, can finally see polar bears’ agile figure underwater in a private enclosed space.”

”We will not build a separate tunnel, but set a final surprise for visitors at the end of that research observation station.”

”We need to make the tax department believe that what visitors see is not entertainment, but dynamic display of scientific samples. This way, the entire building can be categorized as an educational facility.”

”Do you understand what I mean?”

Hammond and Li Wenbo on the screen simultaneously showed an enlightened expression, and then nodded together.

This client, not only balancing art and engineering, he is even... designing the law.

”So, Li Gong, recalculate the budget, I believe implementing this design on a small scale is completely controllable in cost.”

”Then, the third point, regarding the backstage medical center, there is no room for compromise on this issue.”

Lin Yu’an’s voice became extremely solemn: ”The biosafety isolation proposed by Mr. Hammond is the lifeline of this project.”

”We cannot expose December to any potential risks to save four million US Dollars.”

”Li Gong, your integration plan is efficient, but the risk is slightly higher than the separate medical building plan.”

He looked at Li Wenbo: ”I will increase investment for the extra budget, and the extension of the overall schedule is also acceptable. Cost and efficiency must give way in the face of December’s risks.”

Finally, he talked about the most critical and also the most risky issue.

”The final fourth point, regarding the construction model.”

”Mr. Hammond’s concerns are completely valid, such extreme cross-border parallel engineering bears huge risks.”

His sight turned to Li Wenbo, ”However, Li Gong, I choose to believe you, and also believe in the efficiency of my country’s Infrastructure Fanatic.”

”I decided to adopt the infrastructure model of Chinese prefabrication and United States assembly!”

He looked at everyone, explained his fundamental reason, ”Because I can no longer wait another eighteen months, December and Amber need a real home.”

These words were filled with emotional power, yet based on rational choices.

After completing all core decisions, Lin Yu’an finally revealed the final solution regarding the cooperation model.

”To ensure this big gamble can succeed, to address Mr. Hammond’s final concern about coordination. I decided to change our cooperation model.”

”From today on, your two teams will no longer be independent consultants and contractors.”

”On behalf of my December Foundation, I will jointly establish a temporary joint project company with PGAV and Chimelong Group Design Institute, specifically responsible for the construction of Arctic Home.”

”My foundation will hold 51% of shares, having final decision power. Both of your teams will hold 24.5% each.”

”This means you are no longer earning fixed design fees; you will all become shareholders of this project.”

”The total project budget is now adjusted to forty-eight million US Dollars. If it’s finally completed at a lower cost perfectly.”

”Then all the saved funds will be distributed as profit among the three parties according to the equity ratio.”

”But if, due to any of your mishaps, the project is delayed or overspent, then the excess will also need to be shared among you according to the equity ratio.”
