King of the Wilderness

Chapter 615: Chapter 307: The Strength That Shocked the McKinley Family (Part 2)

”And this one we’re eating now, look at the density and distribution of the fat, it’s definitely above BMS Level 8!”

”That means, if you take this piece of beef to Japan for grading, it would be an undisputed A5! It’s the diamond at the top of the pyramid!”

Bo looked at Lin Yu’an, his eyes carrying a deeper level of thought. His tone was like an experienced elder advising a young one.

”Lin, inheriting such a legacy is your luck, but how to protect and carry on this quality will be your greatest challenge in the future.”

”To cultivate such A5 grade beef, the investment and management system required are astronomical.”

”Maintaining the status quo is already very difficult. I hope you won’t change its original operating model in pursuit of short-term profit. That would be a waste!”

These words made everyone present quiet down. They all heard the sincerity in Bo’s words and his concerns about whether this legacy could be passed on.

Before Lin Yu’an could reply, Emily smiled and said in a tone full of pride, ”Bo, rest assured. Lin understands the value of this legacy more than anyone.”

”We’ve already had a meeting with the ranch’s management team, and not only will we completely retain Mr. Hunter’s operational model, but we will even increase investment to pursue higher quality.”

She paused and added, ”After all, the beef from the ranch was previously supplied exclusively to over thirty Michelin three-star restaurants across all of America. We hope to maintain this list.”

”Michelin... three stars?” Bo was completely stunned. He knew what being on this supply list meant. It was not just top-tier ingredients but luxury items in the world of cuisine.

He glanced at the substantial steak on the table and silently calculated the cost of this meal in his mind.

He raised his wine glass toward Lin Yu’an, showing a smile mingled with admiration and relief.

After drinking the beer in his glass in one gulp, he said in a relaxed tone to his older brother Wyatt and second brother Garrett, ”Guys, it looks like we’ll have to take more opportunities to mooch meals in Wyoming in the future!”

This statement, full of American humor, instantly enlivened the atmosphere at the dining table.

”You’re welcome anytime,” Lin Yu’an responded with a smile.

Eldest brother Wyatt also smiled and shook his head, saying to Lin Yu’an, ”Honestly, Lin, after eating your steak here, I feel I can’t even face our Angus cows back home.”

”If there’s time this afternoon, take us to see your herd? I want to witness firsthand what kind of methods produce such quality meat.”

”Of course, no problem,” Lin Yu’an agreed readily.

”And horses!” Third brother Kley also got interested, ”Aliya said you have horses here too. After filling up, we can take a ride and see the scenery around here!”

The topics at the table quickly shifted from being shocked by the ”luxury” to anticipation and planning for the afternoon activities.

Meanwhile, Aliya’s mothers began to focus on more practical living issues.

”Aliya, is it easy to get supplies in the winter here?” Her biological mother Martha asked with concern, ”How far is the nearest town?”

”Don’t worry, Mom,” Aliya replied with a smile, ”We have our own private railway and airport. We can get anything delivered directly, even more conveniently than going to a supermarket in Montana.”

This seemingly casual answer once again gave the McKinley family a new understanding of the farm’s capabilities.

The luncheon ended pleasantly in a relaxed and warm atmosphere filled with family chatter.

The afternoon was incredibly enjoyable, basking in the warmth of the fireplace and the laughter among family members.

The men gathered on the leather sofa in the living room, drinking beer and chatting about their topics of interest.

Meanwhile, the women gathered on the carpet, playing with Ethan and Olivia, occasionally bursting into affectionate laughter.

Wyatt took a sip of beer and asked, ”Lin, managing this place must be really challenging, right?”

”Over thirty thousand acres, much bigger than our land. Just maintaining the grasslands’ ecosystem is a massive project.”

Lin Yu’an smiled, ”It’s manageable, I have an excellent team. Plus, we rely more on natural ridges and rivers as boundaries, so not much of the area needs artificial fencing.”

Wyatt took another sip of beer and sincerely remarked, ”Lin, honestly, this place is every farmer’s paradise!”

But then he changed his tone, his eyes becoming serious, ”But the more like paradise it is, the more beasts there are. Can your manpower cover it all?”

”That’s indeed a challenge, we rely more on technological means, like drones and sensors for monitoring.”

Wyatt shook his head, as if discussing a problem with an equal partner, ”Technology is great, but sometimes you still have to rely on the most primitive ways to protect the farm.”

”For example, wolf packs are a major threat. With such a good ecosystem here, the number of wolves must be significant. Last time we hunted wolves together, you did superbly.”

”That was just a small pack, and it already made it tough for me. You must have larger wolf packs here.”

Garrett also joined in, saying in a deep voice, ”Wyatt is right, these beasts won’t steal cattle during the day, but at night they become coordinated and formidable hunters.”
