King of the Wilderness

Chapter 425: Chapter 239: The World’s Impression of China! (Part 2)

This is not for showmanship, but because he cannot afford any consequences of mistakes. If a piece of wood is cut incorrectly or a screw is twisted, there might be no replacements.

This ability to remain calm and precise under absolute pressure is the true essence of a survivalist. What he is building is not just a house, but a completely self-sufficient, cyclical ecological system.

Planning, skills, foresight of risks... this is the true ’master class in off-grid living’. Hats off to you, sir, you’ve won my subscription and deepest respect. ]

The viral spread of the video even attracted the attention of some major Western media.

An editor from the tech blog ”The Verge” left a comment saying: [Hi, Lin, amazing work. We’re considering featuring your story in an article about the intersection of technology, craftsmanship, and the new wave of digital-era homesteaders. Please check your business email.]

In Wiseman’s log cabin, Lin Yu’an sat quietly at the desk, refreshing the webpage, watching the first ”First row!” comment scroll by, then the second, the third...

He watched as the barrage of comments went from sparse to dense, eventually flooding the screen like a deluge...

Lin Yu’an sat quietly at the desk, the light from the screen reflecting on his calm face.

He didn’t focus too much on the rapidly jumping numbers but read, one by one, the comments filled with goodwill and praise that transcended language and borders.

He also saw the glaring prejudice and ignorance, and more strangers spontaneously standing up to defend him and China.

He saw Klaus’s admiration, the buyer’s review from the Texas farmer, and the defense and support for the real China behind him from the UK engineer and French student.

A faint, long-lost smile appeared on Lin Yu’an’s face; it was a sense of fulfillment that transcended personal achievement, a deeper pride as a Chinese.

Then, he focused his attention entirely on the backend data panel.

In just ten minutes, the view count on Bilibili had jumped to an astounding number, one hundred and fifty thousand.

The prime time release, coupled with millions of followers as a base, gave this two-hour-long video a terrifying initial speed equivalent to top trending short videos.

Meanwhile, the YouTube channel’s view count also steadily surpassed fifteen thousand, with European viewers contributing the first solid wave of international traffic during their lunch hours.

Lin Yu’an took a sip of the whiskey beside him, feeling calm. He knew this was just the beginning.

He didn’t refresh frequently again but instead clicked on the video itself, put on headphones, set the barrage transparency to the lowest, and began to revisit that summer with his fans.

Watching himself chop down the first tree under the midnight sun, watching as the barrage of comments went from sparse to dense, eventually flooding the entire screen.

Time passed unconsciously.

When he switched back to the backend again, the curve representing view growth was climbing almost at a vertical angle!

The view count on Bilibili had fiercely broken through the eight hundred and eighty thousand mark, with over one hundred and fifty thousand likes, and the number of coins, which represents the highest recognition from the audience, also easily passed the fifty thousand threshold.

What shocked him most was the real-time online viewership displayed on the backend; at that moment, more than two hundred thousand people were watching this long epic of construction with him. It seems that the sleepless night owls in China remain numerous as ever.

Unsurprisingly, the video had already surged into the top five of Bilibili’s overall popularity rankings. Meanwhile, on YouTube, the views skyrocketed to ninety thousand.

In the comment section, the highly liked reviews from the Texas farmer and German carpenter Klaus had been pushed to the forefront, receiving thousands of replies.

Time flowed by, as the aurora outside performed its dance, and at three in the morning, Wiseman time, Lin Yu’an prepared for one last refresh before sleep.

At this moment, it was ten at night in China, another peak period for Bilibili’s late-night traffic. This time, the data completely ”exploded”.

The total views on Bilibili astonishingly showed two million one hundred thousand! Within just three hours of release, it easily achieved the ”one million views” milestone coveted by many content creators and doubled it.

The ”new followers” on the backend also jumped rapidly, already exceeding twenty thousand. Old Mao sent a message that was brief enough to only contain punctuation: ”Exploded! Brother An!!”

YouTube’s recommendation algorithm had also been fully activated, with the view count smoothly surpassing two hundred and fifty thousand, far beyond his subscriber count, beginning to reach a broader international audience.

He saw those rapidly jumping numbers on the backend and the goodwill and praises in the comment section that crossed language and borders.

A faint smile appeared on his face, a feeling of being understood, recognized, and praised, which no one would dislike.

He turned off the computer, isolating all the noise from beyond the screen.

Professional setbacks had long ceased to stir him; this brief ”cloud celebration” was merely a small scene in his long journey of life.

He walked back to the bedroom, gently lying down beside his family.

At that moment, nothing made him feel more peaceful and satisfied than the even breathing of his sleeping family members beside him.

Time: December 25th, early morning, Alaska time.
