When Evan saw the bear’s leg healing rapidly, he immediately tried to finish it off.

But before he could move, the silver glow surrounding the bear’s leg suddenly intensified, and in the next moment, the almost severed leg completely healed.

Evan’s face darkened, and he quickly took out a mana potion from his Storage Ring and drank it in one go.

He had only around thirty-five percent of his mana remaining, while the bear had just recovered to an almost perfect condition.

’This is going to be troublesome.’

For a moment, Evan seriously considered retreating.

However, just as he was thinking about retreating, he noticed something strange.

Although the bear’s body had recovered, its condition was completely different from before.

Its face looked extremely exhausted, as if it could collapse at any moment. Even the powerful aura surrounding its body had weakened considerably.

Evan narrowed his eyes as he observed the bear, and it didn’t take long for him to understand what had happened.

’That ability must have consumed an enormous amount of mana and stamina.’

The bear had used the silver glow to heal its almost severed leg, so it was only natural for it to pay a heavy price.

At this moment, the bear’s condition was even worse than his own.

A faint smile appeared on Evan’s face as he prepared to send this poor soul on its way.

But just as he was about to dash toward the bear, something unexpected happened.

The bear suddenly turned around and began running away.

Evan froze for a moment, a look of bewilderment appearing on his face.

He stared at the fleeing bear in disbelief before suddenly realizing what was happening.

”Bastard...” Evan cursed and immediately chased after the bear.

’Damn it, I’ve used almost everything I have to fight you, and now you want to run away?’

The bear was extremely weak after using its skill earlier, so its running speed wasn’t very fast.

However, Evan himself wasn’t in perfect condition either.

Several of his ribs were broken, and every movement caused sharp pain to spread through his chest, making it difficult for him to run at full speed.

Even so, he gritted his teeth and continued chasing after the bear.

Little by little, the distance between them began to shrink.

When the bear noticed Evan getting closer, it desperately increased its speed, but even then, the distance between them continued to shrink.

Realizing that the situation wasn’t looking good, the bear suddenly stopped, and a mad look appeared in its eyes.

It turned around and stared at Evan with unmistakable fury.

Instead of continuing to flee, it suddenly charged toward him at full speed.

Evan stopped as well when he saw this and narrowed his eyes.

’Something isn’t right.’

He stared into the bear’s eyes and noticed that they were filled with madness, as if it had decided to perish together with him.

Evan sneered when he saw this, and a cold light flashed in his eyes.

He had been thinking about using a certain skill since last night, and now was the perfect opportunity to test it.

When the bear was around one hundred meters away from him, Evan immediately created a Wind Shield around his body.

At the same time, he activated the skill of his Bloom Earring.

”Blaze Barrier.”

A wall of blazing flames immediately appeared just outside the Wind Shield.

Evan’s eyes gleamed with green light as he completely focused on the surrounding wind.

The wind began gathering around him, spinning slowly.

At first, it was only a small vortex.

But gradually, the swirling wind grew stronger and stronger, forming a tornado.

As Evan used more and more of his mana, the tornado continued expanding.

One meter.

Two meters.

Three meters.

Finally, when it reached around five meters in height, Evan was almost out of mana, so he stopped.

He controlled the tornado and slowly moved it toward the Blaze Barrier.

The moment the two abilities came into contact, both began to shake violently.

Evan’s expression became serious as he controlled the two forces simultaneously and began merging them.

The swirling wind and blazing flames intertwined with each other and gradually, the two abilities began to fuse.

The wind started carrying the flames with it, while the flames spread throughout the rapidly rotating tornado.

Soon, a terrifying fire tornado was born.

Although it seemed like a considerable amount of time had passed, the entire process had taken Evan less than three seconds.

By this time, the bear was only ten meters away from him and could cover the distance in just a few steps.

But Evan’s expression remained calm as he sent the rapidly spinning tornado toward the charging bear.

As the tornado moved forward, the surrounding wind continued pouring into it, causing its power to increase even further.

The bear saw the approaching fire tornado, but it did not stop.

Its mind had already been consumed by fury, and at this point, it only wanted to inflict as much damage on Evan as possible before dying.

However, it had greatly underestimated the power of the fire tornado.

BOOOOOOM!

The moment the bear collided with the fire tornado, an explosion of flames erupted.

”ROOOOOAR!”

The bear let out a painful roar.

The temperature inside the fire tornado was terrifyingly high, even for a Rank One magical beast with its powerful body.

That was precisely why Evan had created the Wind Shield around himself before creating the fire tornado.

But Evan wasn’t finished yet.

The moment the bear became trapped inside the fire tornado, Evan moved closer.

Even with the protection of his Wind Shield, he could still feel the terrifying heat radiating from the tornado.

Despite the heat, he gritted his teeth and continued forward.

When he got close enough, Evan activated the Bloom Earring once again.

”Blaze Barrier!”

Another Blaze Barrier appeared and merged with the fire tornado.

The moment the flames merged into the tornado for the second time, its temperature increased dramatically.

The surrounding air distorted from the terrifying heat, and Evan immediately backed away.

The bear, however, wasn’t as fortunate.

”ROOOOOOOAR!”

Its agonized roar echoed through the forest.

The roar became louder and louder as the fire tornado continued burning it.

Evan kept his distance and watched the terrifying scene in silence.

Thirty seconds later, the fire tornado finally began to weaken.

The flames gradually faded, and the swirling wind slowed down.

After a few more seconds, the fire tornado completely disappeared.

Evan looked at the aftermath of his attack and was momentarily stunned.

Although the fire tornado had only been around ten meters tall, the destruction it had caused was enormous.

Many trees surrounding the area had been completely evaporated by the intense heat.

The rocks near the center of the attack had melted, forming strange pools of molten stone.

Evan shifted his gaze toward the charred body lying in the center, and a look of surprise appeared on his face.

The bear was still alive.

Although barely, it was still clinging to life.

At this point, its beautiful silver fur had completely disappeared, replaced by severely burned black skin.

Evan slowly walked toward it and when he got close, the bear turned its head with difficulty and looked at him.

There was no longer any fury in its eyes, only exhaustion.

Evan looked at it silently for a few seconds before raising the Black Star.

SWOOSH!

The sword flashed, and a single strike pierced through the bear’s chest, destroying its heart.

Instantly, the bear’s body went completely still, and it finally lost its life.

The moment the bear died, Evan suddenly felt a strange energy enter his body.

The energy surged through his entire body, strengthening every part of him.

At the same time, his depleted mana rapidly recovered.

Evan felt every muscle in his body trembling as the power-up he received after killing the bear was far greater than anything he had received before.

He took a deep breath to calm the surging energy within his body before looking around the bear’s corpse.

After searching for a moment, he found a skill scroll lying beside the charred body, and a delighted smile appeared on his face.

He immediately picked up the scroll and stored it inside his Storage Ring.

’I hope I get the same skill that this bear used.’

Evan glanced at the bear’s corpse.

’That ability was seriously overpowered.’
