”This is my only chance,” Evan muttered and just as he was about to clash with the tiger, he poured more mana into his legs and jumped into the air.

The moment Evan poured the additional mana into his legs and pushed himself upward, the bones in his legs fractured under the tremendous strain.

The muscles in his legs, which were already bleeding from the inside, also tore apart.

Evan felt his mind going numb from the pain, but he gritted his teeth and successfully landed on the monster’s back without fainting.

The instant he landed on the tiger’s back, the Forest Tiger began shaking violently, trying to throw him off.

”Fuck you, bastard!” Evan roared in anger as he grabbed the tiger’s fur with one hand.

Holding the Black Star in his right hand, he didn’t hesitate and swung it toward the monster’s neck.

WHOOSH!

The Black Star was still coated with mana. Its blade sliced through the air and struck the monster’s neck.

RIP!

The sharp blade of the sword tore through its flesh, leaving a deep wound across its neck.

ROAR!

The tiger roared in pain and began shaking its body even more violently in an attempt to throw Evan off its back.

However, Evan held onto its fur tightly as though his life depended on it.

Without hesitation, he raised his sword and slashed fiercely downward again.

RIP!

The blade tore through the tiger’s flesh, cutting away a large chunk in the process as blood splattered everywhere.

The Forest Tiger sensed the danger of death, and its entire body began shaking violently as roars of pain escaped from its mouth.

But Evan didn’t stop his attacks.

Even after hearing the tiger’s pain-filled roars, he continued slashing.

SWISH! SWISH!

Another large chunk of flesh was cut away, and an even greater amount of blood gushed from the tiger’s body.

The pain was so overwhelming that the giant Forest Tiger began running wildly through the forest while roaring in agony.

BOOM!

The tiger’s body slammed into a large tree, and the impact was so powerful that the tree snapped in half.

Evan almost lost his balance and fell from the tiger’s back.

Luckily, he grabbed its fur again at the last possible moment, saving himself from falling.

But as the tiger continued running around and slamming into trees one after another, it became increasingly difficult for Evan to maintain his grip.

Moreover, most of his mana had already been consumed at this point, and he began to feel dizzy.

The entire world around him seemed to be spinning.

To stop himself from fainting at this crucial moment, he bit his lips with all his strength, nearly tearing them apart.

The pain immediately jolted him awake, helping him fight against the drowsiness that was slowly overwhelming him.

Using the pain as motivation, he began attacking the tiger with even greater force.

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH! — — — —

The Black Star in his hands was covered in a faint blue aura as he swung it toward the tiger’s neck again and again.

As he continued his assault, the monster’s struggle slowly weakened, and even when it crashed into the trees, the impact became far weaker than before.

BANG!

The Forest Tiger collided with a tenth tree.

Although its momentum had weakened greatly compared to before, Evan finally couldn’t hold on any longer and lost his grip, falling from the tiger’s back.

Bang!

He rolled across the ground and stopped only after colliding with a tree.

Through his hazy vision, Evan saw that the monster’s neck was almost completely severed.

The tiger tried to walk toward him, but before it could even take a step forward, its massive body suddenly collapsed onto the ground, forming a puddle of blood.

Evan fought against the overwhelming urge to sleep caused by his dizziness and slowly stood up.

He looked down at the tiger lying on the ground and noticed that although its neck was almost completely severed, the Forest Tiger was still alive.

”Damn it! Is the vitality of this tiger connected to the World itself? Why the hell is it still alive?” He cursed in a low voice before taking a deep breath.

Although the tiger wasn’t dead, it was in no condition to attack anymore.

Even if Evan didn’t do anything, it would most likely die on its own after a few minutes.

Evan himself wasn’t doing any better.

After using mana to strengthen his body, his Level 0 body had inevitably suffered tremendous damage.

Not to mention anything else, the bones in his legs were fractured, and each time he took a step forward, the pain was so intense that he just wanted to lie down.

Even while walking toward the tiger, he nearly fell twice before finally managing to reach it.

”I need to get out of here and find a place to heal myself,” He muttered in a low voice, knowing that the smell of blood in the air would definitely attract more monsters.

As he stopped before the monster and looked at it, Evan saw that the Forest Tiger was also staring at him with hate-filled eyes.

The look it gave Evan was as though he were the most detestable person in the world.

”I didn’t kill your parents, nor did I steal your wife, so why are you looking at me like that?”

Evan muttered weakly when he saw the hatred in the tiger’s eyes and shook his head.

Fortunately, the tiger didn’t understand human language.

Otherwise, it might have coughed up the remaining blood in its body and died a little earlier than expected.

When Evan saw that the tiger didn’t react to his joke and continued staring at him with hatred, he decided to end things and get some rest.

He raised his sword and was about to completely sever the Forest Tiger’s neck.

The tiger looked as though it couldn’t even blink its eyes anymore.

However, just before Evan could slash down, the Forest Tiger suddenly opened its mouth wide, and a green blade formed from wind suddenly shot out from its mouth.

Evan’s eyes widened in shock, and he immediately tried to evade the attack.

However, he was standing extremely close to the tiger. Not to mention, he was still feeling dizzy because his mana was almost depleted.

As a result, he was caught completely off guard and couldn’t fully evade the attack.

He could only turn his body slightly, causing the sharp wind blade to strike his shoulder instead of his head.

SHING!

The leather jacket he was wearing was instantly torn apart around the point of impact, and the green blade continued through his shoulder, leaving behind a deep wound.

The wound was so deep that even his bone could be seen.

”AAARGH!”

Evan cried out in pain, and the sword in his hand dropped to the ground.

Blood immediately began flowing from the wound, and Evan gritted his teeth to endure the pain so that he wouldn’t pass out at this critical moment.

”You fucker!”

He picked up the Black Star that had fallen to the ground and, using all the strength he could muster, threw it toward the tiger.

WHOOSH!

The sword flew through the air and struck the Forest Tiger’s hanging neck, completely severing its head.

THUD!

The Forest Tiger’s head rolled across the ground, and its body instantly went limp.

The moment the monster died, a large amount of energy suddenly surged into Evan’s body out of nowhere.

At the same time, numerous notifications appeared on his status window.

However, he was in no condition to look at them.

The pain coursing through his body was so overwhelming that all he wanted to do was collapse onto the ground and enjoy a long, peaceful sleep.

But he knew that he couldn’t remain there.

The smell of blood would attract other monsters, and if he stayed in the area, he might encounter another powerful beast.

Evan gritted his teeth and slowly walked toward the corpse of the Forest Tiger.

When he reached the corpse, he noticed a Skill Scroll and a few other things lying beside it.

However, he didn’t even bother checking what skill he had obtained from killing the tiger.

He simply stored the Skill Scroll, the Forest Tiger’s corpse and the other items inside his Storage Ring before picking up the Black Star.

Evan then took out a Healing Potion from his Storage Ring and drank the entire bottle in a single gulp.

Five minutes after drinking the potion, the bleeding from his shoulder finally stopped and he regained something of his strength.

His mana had also already recovered completely because he had leveled up after killing the Forest Tiger.

However, his legs were still severely injured, and his entire body was exhausted after the intense battle.

He slowly began walking away from the battlefield, and after walking for nearly half an hour, he couldn’t hold on any longer.

Using what little strength remained in his body, he climbed up a giant tree with great difficulty.

Once he reached a thick branch hidden behind the canopy, he sat down and leaned against the trunk.

As soon as he leaned back, his eyelids became heavier and heavier and within just a few seconds, Evan fell into a deep sleep.
