The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Business Picks Up

”Er Ya, let’s go home.”

After the afternoon classes ended, Yiyi began packing her bag.

At this time, Le Ping, who was sitting in the front row, turned around and asked, ”Mo Yiyi, where have you been these past few days? You’ve been taking so much leave.”

”Le Ping, when I asked the teacher for leave on Yiyi’s behalf, I already mentioned that she had some family issues. What more do you want to know?” Fei Erya retorted angrily, clearly dissatisfied with Le Ping. Yiyi hadn’t been around for a couple of days, and Le Ping kept trying to find out why. Who knows what she was up to.

”Hmph... who knows if it was even family issues.”

Hearing this, Yiyi glanced at Le Ping indifferently and said, ”Why I took leave is none of your business. You should focus on yourself. You did poorly in several exams last time, yet you still have time to meddle in my affairs.”

”You...”

Le Ping was too furious to speak upon hearing Yiyi’s words.

”Er Ya, let’s go.”

Yiyi didn’t spare another glance at Le Ping and left with Fei Erya.

”Mo Yiyi, don’t go...”

Le Ping called out in pursuit, but Yiyi didn’t slow down or pay any attention.

At this moment, Wang Qiong came over, her face full of disdain as she remarked, ”I think Mo Yiyi is getting increasingly arrogant, acting like we don’t matter at all.” Normally, she couldn’t be bothered to talk to someone like Le Ping, but since everyone disliked Mo Yiyi, there was common ground.

”Yeah, Mo Yiyi really is getting too arrogant. Just because her grades improved a bit, she acts like she’s better than everyone else.” Le Ping nodded in agreement, noticing Wang Qiong felt the same way.

Wang Qiong slowly started to smile.

”So we think alike. Next time, we must bring up Mo Yiyi’s behavior with the teacher to prevent her from influencing the other classmates.”

Hearing this, Le Ping’s eyes lit up.

That’s right, why didn’t she think of that before? She could report to the teachers. She didn’t believe that all the teachers liked Mo Yiyi. Many had praised her, but not the English teacher, as Mo Yiyi’s progress in English was the least.

Thinking of this, Le Ping’s eyes were full of delight.

Watching Le Ping’s expression, Wang Qiong couldn’t help but curve her lips slightly, said a few more words, and then left.

Meanwhile, Yiyi was unaware of their discussion. At the moment, she was focused on eating, planning to review her notes soon.

”Yiyi, slow down. We’re not in a hurry.”

Ding Yuejun saw her daughter like this and couldn’t help but advise.

”Mom, I’m done eating.”

Upon hearing this, Ding Yuejun quickly said, ”Yiyi, have a bit more.”

”Mom, I’m really full.” Yiyi said, then returned to her room.

At this moment, Fei Erya also stood up and said, ”Aunt Ding, I’m done too. I’m going to do my homework now.”

”These two kids.”

Seeing how diligent they were, Ding Yuejun felt both gratified and heartbroken.

The next day, Yiyi felt much better during classes. Last night, Er Ya helped her catch up on several subjects, which proved to be effective.

”Er Ya, you’re amazing. You helped me catch up quickly, and now I can keep up with the teacher’s pace.”

Upon hearing this, Fei Erya was delighted.

”I’m glad I could help.”

After school, Yiyi couldn’t help but ask Fei Erya, ”Er Ya, are you going home this weekend? If you don’t want to, you can stay at my place. We can be study buddies.”

Fei Erya hesitated a bit but finally shook her head, ”I’ll go home this weekend. My dad will worry if I don’t.”

Talking about Fei Erya’s family, Yiyi didn’t know what to say.

”But your dad never sides with you, letting your mom and stepsister bully you.”

Fei Erya softly defended, ”My dad doesn’t know what’s happening at home.”

Yiyi wasn’t convinced.

”Does your dad really not know? After so many years, he still doesn’t see how your mother treats you?”

Fei Erya fell silent upon hearing this.

Seeing her friend looking so downcast, Yiyi didn’t say more. Some things were understood but still hurt when spoken out loud.

”Yiyi, you’re right. I think my father does know something, but he feels guilty towards Fei Wenya’s father and unconsciously favors my stepsister.”

Finally, Fei Erya couldn’t help but give a bitter smile, ”I understand, but they’re still my family, and I have to go back to see them.”

Yiyi said no more.

Family ties are hard to sever. It took starting all over for her to see it clearly.

When the weekend came, Fei Erya went home, and Yiyi went to check on the store.

”Boss, you finally came. We’re running out of medicine pills to sell. When you have time, please make some more.”

Hearing Mo Ping, Yiyi was surprised.

”Are the pills selling that fast? Didn’t no one want them before?”

Mo Ping replied with pride, ”I found a way to advertise them. Surprisingly, it worked well, and more people started buying the pills.”

”Impressive, I didn’t know you had such skills.”

Even Yiyi looked at Mo Ping with newfound respect,

Hearing Yiyi’s praise, Mo Ping was genuinely pleased but remained a bit humble, ”Not bad, I might be good at this.” In the end, Mo Ping handed over the earnings from the pill sales to Yiyi.

Seeing the bulging pouch, Yiyi’s eyes were full of joy.

”Looks like I chose the right person. You’re really good.”

”I think so too. Turns out I can also earn money, and quite a lot of it.” Mo Ping laughed heartily, his face full of joy.

Yiyi counted the income, then handed Mo Ping a hundred yuan saying, ”This hundred is your commission from selling the pills. At the end of the month, I’ll settle your monthly salary.”

Seeing the money, Mo Ping quickly waved his hands, ”No need, I’m using everything of yours. How can I take your money? I’m fine as long as I have food and shelter.”

”That’s a separate matter.”

Mo Ping was adamant and refused the money.

Seeing this, Yiyi said, ”In that case, I’ll deduct the rent.” After calculating, Yiyi gave Mo Ping seventy yuan.

Mo Ping initially didn’t want to accept it, but as Yiyi insisted and he found the arrangement fair, he eventually took it.

After gathering the materials, Yiyi entered the lab to focus on making more pills. This time, she made a larger batch and handed them all over to Mo Ping.

”Boss, don’t worry. I’ll make sure to sell all the pills.” Mo Ping was full of enthusiasm, finally finding his sense of worth.
