The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 76: Chapter 76: Grand Opening

Mo Ping quietly waited at the door, faithfully keeping guard as per Yiyi’s orders.

At this moment, Yiyi was fully absorbed in making medicine pills, ignoring everything around her, until the sun set and she finally emerged from the pharmacy room.

”You finally came out.”

Seeing Yiyi, Mo Ping couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief, ”If you stayed inside any longer, I would have gone in myself.” He genuinely hadn’t expected making medicine pills to take so much time—almost an entire day.

Yiyi simply smiled.

”Making medicine pills is a time-consuming task. Only spending this little time today is actually quite smooth.”

Mo Ping couldn’t help but say, ”It seems making medicine pills is quite exhausting.”

”It surely is not easy.” Yiyi nodded upon hearing this, then looked at Mo Ping and said, ”It’s already so late, let’s go out for a casual meal. But first, put away these medicine pills, we’ll start selling them tomorrow.” As she spoke, she handed Mo Ping a bag filled with bottles.

Mo Ping hurriedly took the bag and looked at the white porcelain bottles inside, asking, ”Then... what’s a suitable price for these medicine pills?”

”Five bucks for a bottle.”

”What... five bucks...”

Hearing the price Yiyi mentioned, Mo Ping was shocked, his eyes widening, ”Isn’t five bucks per bottle too expensive?”

”We’ll sell them for five bucks, not a penny less.”

Yiyi’s expression was resolute, having already made up her mind, ”We can sell fewer, but the price must not be compromised.”

Seeing Yiyi’s determined look, Mo Ping didn’t argue further and simply said, ”Alright, then I’ll sell them at your stated price.”

After the two went out for a simple meal, Yiyi returned home, while Mo Ping headed back to the small courtyard.

”Yiyi, you finally returned. How’s the store coming along? I insisted we should go help out, but you didn’t want us to. Opening a store isn’t easy, even if we can’t do much, at the very least we could help clean up.” Ding Yuejun said, holding her daughter’s hand as she spoke.

Upon hearing her mother’s words, seeing the curiosity and anticipation in her eyes, Yiyi nodded and said, ”Okay, we’ll go together tomorrow, it’s just right for the opening.”

”Child, how come you didn’t tell us earlier that the opening is tomorrow? We could have prepared something.”

Ding Yuejun immediately became anxious and rushed to the kitchen.

Seeing her mother quickly head to the kitchen, Yiyi found it a bit strange. As her mother started taking things out, she became even more puzzled, ”Mom, what are you doing?” She saw Ding Yuejun holding various fruits and pastries.

”Since the opening is tomorrow, we obviously need to choose an auspicious time to celebrate.”

Ding Yuejun spoke without lifting her head, continuing to check the items, and finally breathed a sigh of relief, saying: ”Luckily, I bought quite a few things today, tomorrow I’ll just need to buy some meat.”

Seeing her mother’s concern, Yiyi felt a bit sheepish, ”I should have told you all earlier.”

”Yeah, telling us early would have helped us prepare sooner.”

Ding Yuejun gave her daughter a loving glance, her expression full of affection, ”But it’s still timely now. Your sister will be back soon, she’s off tomorrow, so we’ll all go to your shop together.”

”Alright.”

Yiyi said with a smile.

The next day, the three women, along with Mo Shan, set off for the small courtyard. By the time they arrived, Mo Ping had just opened the shop door and was slightly surprised to see Yiyi and her family, ”Oh, you came so early.”

Ding Yuejun had heard about Mo Ping before and seeing him now, she had a gentle smile on her face, ”Yes, we came early to celebrate the shop opening, let’s go inside and arrange everything.”

Mo Ping quickly stepped aside, letting Yiyi and her family enter.

Familiar with such matters, Ding Yuejun skillfully arranged all the items, lit incense candles, and once everything was done, joined Yiyi in taking a closer look at the shop.

”This place is quite nice, the environment is good.”

Yiyi smiled and said, ”Right? I think it’s pretty good too.”

Mo Xiaohong glanced around, frowning slightly, ”The environment is nice, but are you sure people will come to buy things here?”

”Sister, don’t worry. Once the medicine pills become well-known, people will come to buy them.”

Seeing Yiyi’s confidence, Mo Xiaohong didn’t say much more.

Meanwhile, Mo Shan was excitedly looking around, filled with curiosity about everything.

However, on the opening day, business was somewhat slow, and no one came.

Ding Yuejun couldn’t help but feel a bit worried, ”Yiyi, no one’s coming, it seems business is really tough.”

Mo Xiaohong was also a bit anxious. Now, all their expenses in town required money. Although their mother, Ding Yuejun, had started making money, the monthly rent and daily expenses were quite high. Even the rent for this small courtyard wasn’t cheap. If business didn’t pick up, they’d be losing money.

Yiyi showed no concern, smiling at her mother and sister, ”Mom, Sister, have you been looking in the mirror lately? Do you notice any changes?”

Before Ding Yuejun and Mo Xiaohong could respond, Mo Ping spoke up first.

”You’re all more beautiful than before. When you three go out, people who’ve seen you before won’t even recognize you.” If he didn’t know today was Yiyi’s mother and sister, he wouldn’t have believed the two were Ding Yuejun and Mo Xiaohong. Both had become fairer, and their complexion improved; they had become gradually plumper, significantly different from before.

Hearing this from Mo Ping, both Ding Yuejun and Mo Xiaohong were taken aback, finally feeling a bit embarrassed at the compliments.

Yiyi just laughed.

”Mom, Sister, now you’ve seen it. Eating the medicine I prepared made you fairer and more beautiful. So you don’t need to worry about no one buying them. Every woman desires beauty, so really, there’s no need to worry.”

With this, Ding Yuejun and Mo Xiaohong had nothing further to say.

”Alright, Mom, Sister, let’s go have lunch outside and come back in the afternoon.” Yiyi suggested everyone go for a meal.

Mo Ping quickly said, ”Go ahead, I’ll stay here and watch the shop, just in case someone comes to buy something.”

”No need, no one’s come by yet, we’ll all go eat together.” Yiyi was quite carefree, inviting Mo Ping along.

Mo Ping kept his focus on his duty.

”No, no, you go ahead, if there’s anything left, bring some back for me.”

Seeing Mo Ping insist, Yiyi didn’t argue, taking her mother and family to a nearby restaurant.

”Yiyi, this Mo Ping really is quite considerate.” Ding Yuejun had a better impression of Mo Ping.
