Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2258: Chapter 1712: This Matter Must Be Handled!

Outside the back door of the banquet hall, Bai Xiaosheng and the others met a girl named Jin Yunxuan in a secluded corridor. She was studying at a university in Ganande as part of an internship at a large company with an enviable salary package.

With the company’s help, she even got a green card.

Of course, Miss Jin’s glamorous experience in that enterprise was just a facade.

Once she signed the contract and enjoyed the benefits, she was informed that she had to make a personal contribution to the company’s future.

What bosses often say changed in meaning for her.

She really had to sacrifice herself, and it was planned for today, aimed at the boss’s esteemed friend—Mr. Nick.

Initially, Jin Yunxuan did not agree.

Eventually, she was half-threatened, half-coerced into coming here.

In the end, she felt extremely averse to this matter and was threatened again.

Afterward, she encountered Bai Xiaosheng and the others.

The whole incident was largely straightforward, not complicated.

Seeing Lin Weiwei was also of Asian descent, with black eyes, yellow skin, and also a woman, she didn’t seem like a bad person.

Perhaps Jin Yunxuan hadn’t found anyone to confide in for a long time and couldn’t hold it back any longer. She immediately burst into tears, spilling everything like beans from a bamboo tube.

Although she didn’t know whether Lin Weiwei could really help her, the emotions surged in her heart, and she couldn’t hold them back.

Actually, some might take such matters lightly, but for some, it’s an insurmountable hurdle.

Jin Yunxuan was the latter.

She repeatedly emphasized coming from a very traditional family and having a fiancé she was about to marry but had only held hands with. She was extremely opposed to such affairs, even to the point of wanting to die.

Jin Yunxuan spoke a lot, very sorrowfully, causing Lin Weiwei’s eyes to turn red.

Lin Weiwei, being a self-respecting girl, could empathize deeply with Jin Yunxuan by putting herself in her shoes.

”It’s going to be okay. Don’t cry. Since we’ve come across this matter, we must help!” Lin Weiwei comforted her, pulling out tissues to wipe her tears.

To avoid Jin Yunxuan feeling unsafe, Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying stood a little farther away, refraining from speaking, waiting for Lin Weiwei to help stabilize her emotions.

”Actually, you don’t have to be afraid of them. At worst, you can quit. They wouldn’t dare not to let you go or force you into such a thing! If necessary, go to the police; your personal safety is at risk, and you can apply for protection. If the media finds out, it should be them who are afraid!” suggested Lin Weiwei.

Jin Yunxuan immediately shook her head, her eyes fearfully worried.

”I’ve signed a contract with them. If I resign for personal reasons, I’d face a significant compensation fee. I’ve received high-level training, various benefits from the company, and spent all the settlement fees here. Neither I nor my family can afford that kind of money.”

Lin Weiwei immediately said, ”If it’s just about money, we can help you!”

Currently, Lin Weiwei’s assets are in the billions, let alone Bai Xiaosheng; helping this girl is not an issue.

However, Jin Yunxuan felt no hope from Lin Weiwei’s words and still looked sorrowfully miserable, saying, ”It’s not about the money. My boss doesn’t lack it, and he would not agree to resolve the matter with money. Moreover, the biggest issue is not the debt but the five-year ban on working in the related field. This would be devastating for my life!”

Five-year industry restriction?

What kind of clause is this! Does American law allow such a long-term industry restriction!

Lin Weiwei was taken aback.

Money isn’t the problem; the main issue is the ”industry restriction,” which is very tricky.

Even if it goes to court, the lengthy process wouldn’t likely get Jin Yunxuan what she needs against her wealthy and powerful boss.

Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but glance at Bai Xiaosheng.

”Moreover, our bosses aren’t kind people. Who knows what bad things they could do? They definitely wouldn’t let me go,” Jin Yunxuan sobbed, ”even if I apply temporarily for police protection in Ganande, it can’t last forever. If I offend them, I fear the only path for me is to leave, but my citizenship is here now.”

Jin Yunxuan cried, ”My sister always looked up to me as her goal, following in my footsteps, and will be attending Ganande in a couple of months. I can’t leave her alone. If they can’t trouble me, they’ll trouble her! My poor sister doesn’t know anything about this yet, and she still views this place with hopeful dreams. How can I let her be harmed!”

After saying this, Jin Yunxuan’s face was full of despair.

Even Lei Ying felt a bit moved.

Bai Xiaosheng stared at Jin Yunxuan, pondering deeply as if thinking.

Lin Weiwei watched with a heavy heart and quickly reassured, ”Don’t be sad, we will definitely help you!”

In a moment of urgency, Lin Weiwei even pointed at Bai Xiaosheng, firmly assuring Jin Yunxuan, ”Do you see him? He can do anything, and he will surely help you!”

As a woman, Lin Weiwei felt sympathy for this isolated, desperate predicament in a foreign land and impulsively presented Bai Xiaosheng as a savior, speaking with such confidence.

Jin Yunxuan looked at Bai Xiaosheng with tearful eyes, so pitiable, making one feel compassionate.

Not to mention Lin Weiwei looked at Bai Xiaosheng with full expectation.

Seeing this, Bai Xiaosheng could only respond, ”We must address this matter! I’m planning to meet Mr. Nick today, so I’ll handle your issue as well!”
