Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2134: Chapter 1625: Robert’s Malice

Bai Xiaosheng stared at Bai Yuefeng in astonishment, his eyes filled with surprise. The white woman on stage standing with her father Bai Tianyu, was that Caroline?

The head of Zhenbei Group’s North American division?

Also Robert’s sister?

”Why are you looking at me like that, is there something on my face, or did my makeup smudge?” Bai Yuefeng saw Bai Xiaosheng staring directly at her and was startled.

Nonetheless, a woman’s focus is ultimately different...

Bai Yuefeng couldn’t help but take out a small mirror to check whether there was a problem with her makeup.

Soon, she might have to go out and meet people.

”Nothing’s wrong, you’re great, and your makeup is fine...” Bai Xiaosheng realized she misunderstood and quickly reassured her.

Then, Bai Xiaosheng once again gazed at the woman on stage — Caroline.

Her makeup was perfect, her demeanor extraordinary, her aura steadier than that of an ordinary businessperson, indeed carrying the manner of a politician.

”You seem very focused on Caroline?” Robert cautiously observed Bai Xiaosheng, his eyes slightly narrowing.

Robert’s sister Caroline is currently running for mayor of Ganande City, which is crucial for their family and business, allowing no mistakes.

Robert is particularly vigilant of any outsiders who are ”overly interested” in Caroline.

Moreover, Bai Xiaosheng, along with his tall companion, possesses intimidating skills.

Not only that, Bai Xiaosheng, this male friend with no familial ties to Bai Yuefeng, also made Robert very wary and jealous, instinctively downgrading him as an ”ill-intentioned person.”

”Miss Caroline is quite famous, I’ve admired her for a long time, and I hope to have the chance to talk with her,” Bai Xiaosheng responded to Robert.

Robert, hearing this, did not hide his sneer, ”Really? But I think Miss Caroline doesn’t have time today! Moreover, not everyone is worthy of meeting her.”

Robert’s underlying message was, Bai Xiaosheng doesn’t qualify!

Wanting to talk to Caroline, who does he think he is?

Robert’s gaze was openly mocking.

At present, Caroline is just a step away from the position of Ganande City’s mayor!

Today she received Bai Family’s support during her campaign in Chinatown, her votes will infinitely approach, even surpass the highest contender! Then she’d truly soar to success!

Today, on such an important occasion, how could she casually waste time on an unknown young man?

Robert hoped Bai Xiaosheng had some self-awareness.

”Hey, I remember Miss Caroline works at Zhenbei Group, seems like she’s some kind of president for North America?” Bai Yuefeng suddenly recalled this and asked Bai Xiaosheng for confirmation.

”She’s the business president, overseeing everything in Zhenbei Group’s North American region!” Robert answered the question ahead of Bai Xiaosheng.

He smiled proudly, ”Although Zhenbei Group and our family both occupy the top tier of the business world, Zhenbei is clearly in the stronger league. Becoming the head of a business division at Zhenbei Group is extremely challenging, requiring a strong background and unique personal ability. My sister Miss Caroline became the business president of North America in ten years, at her level, rising so quickly is incredibly rare! Even my father praises her endlessly!”

Robert was unusually proud, holding his sister in high esteem.

Bai Yuefeng couldn’t help but look at Bai Xiaosheng.

Inside, however, she felt a different kind of shock.

Bai Xiaosheng became the executive president of the Greater China Region two years ago, and then promoted a step higher after two years, likely at the same level as Caroline.

While she took ten years, he took two, without relying on networking.

Monster!

Bai Yuefeng looked at Bai Xiaosheng with eyes as if he were a monster.

Robert was unaware how much his words impacted Bai Yuefeng’s heart; not because of how powerful his sister Caroline was, but in comparison, Bai Xiaosheng seemed more freakish.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled at Bai Yuefeng and shrugged, showing no sign of pride.

Beside them, Robert watched the two exchanging glances, his jealousy surging, his eyes towards Bai Xiaosheng filled with resentment.

This man instructed his subordinate to slap him to the ground in public!

This man and his subordinates disrupted his plan in an alley, beating up his men!

Now, he’s bold enough to flirt with Bai Yuefeng in front of him...

Does he really think I’m nonexistent!

Robert’s hand gripping the nearby bamboo showed veins bulging.

The two have no familial ties; if something were to happen, he’d be left with no chance!

Sister Caroline has explicitly told him to capture Bai Yuefeng; it not only benefits the family but aids her political career...

From whatever angle, Bai Xiaosheng, this obstructive presence, irritated Robert like a fishbone.

Robert increasingly had the urge to throw this man down...

Once that thought crossed his mind, it grew uncontrollably like wild grass.

Robert glanced over the bamboo railing and looked down.

Currently, they’re standing two meters high on a bamboo platform, which is relatively sturdy, but the railing is quite fragile. Below are some bamboo materials, falling from there wouldn’t be fatal but painful, possibly resulting in a sprained ankle or needing hospital care.

Wouldn’t that be great; then he couldn’t stick around Bai Yuefeng or be an eyesore to her.

Robert also took note of Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

They hadn’t noticed him at all.

”Even if he’s skilled, if I strike by surprise, catching him off guard...” Robert stared at Bai Xiaosheng’s back, itching to act.

Bai Xiaosheng did not notice Robert; he was quietly discussing Caroline’s schedule with Bai Yuefeng.

In fact, Bai Xiaosheng really wanted to talk to Caroline.

Firstly, they are colleagues, and equals. Reaching some collaborative agreement would benefit both regions greatly.

Secondly, there was some misunderstanding between them.

After all, Bai Xiaosheng had ”hijacked” Cui Chen’s cooperation agenda midway; albeit unintentionally, it was better to clarify things.

Bai Yuefeng had no doubt about Bai Xiaosheng’s ability to converse with Caroline, and promptly shared the details she knew.

Moreover, Bai Yuefeng intended to introduce Bai Xiaosheng to her father Bai Tianyu.

”According to the itinerary, time is tight. Caroline’s speech is about to start now, lasting approximately half an hour. After her speech, she’ll leave with my father through the backstage we’re currently in, which is an opportunity. We can meet them here. You should feel comfortable in this scenario, it’s okay then.” Bai Yuefeng said to Bai Xiaosheng.

”Alright then.” Bai Xiaosheng smiled at Bai Yuefeng, ”I’ll wait here for Miss Caroline’s speech to finish. Yuefeng, thank you.”

Bai Yuefeng lightly patted Bai Xiaosheng’s shoulder and playfully replied, ”Why thank me, it’s only right!”

Their gestures made Robert behind them watch with shadowed eyes, visibly gripping the bamboo pole tighter.

”The speech is about to start!” Lin Weiwei suddenly exclaimed.

She and Lei Ying were very interested in the campaign speech, positioning themselves to get a better view.

Bai Xiaosheng looked over upon hearing this, as his angle wasn’t favorable, he moved a bit.

Bai Xiaosheng moved closer to the less sturdy bamboo railing.

That section even had a broken part, providing no protection at all.

Robert saw it and his eyes were immediately drawn to the broken bamboo.

That spot is perfect.

A little further back and he’ll fall...
