Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2116: Chapter 1613: Trouble Over a Glass of Wine (Part 2)

Even the previous resistance and reluctance greatly eased.

Ma Weiqian’s noise made Cui Chen, who already had a poor impression of Ambery Company, dislike it even more. However, a segment on TV accidentally increased his favor towards Feisheng Biotechnology Pharmaceuticals.

Perhaps in contrast, the good impression became better, and the bad impression became worse.

Bai Xiaosheng hadn’t anticipated such a change.

”I think if Feisheng knew that fundraising affected your research benefiting humanity, they’d surely feel guilty,” Bai Xiaosheng teased at the right moment.

Cui Chen immediately laughed, his resentment dissipating quite a bit, and even remarked, ”Just because of their insistence on charity, they are indeed a company to love.”

With that, Ma Weiqian became vigilant.

”Dr. Cui, it’s all just for show, a marketing tactic, you shouldn’t take it too seriously...”

Ma Weiqian hurriedly tried to expose the other’s shortcomings to Cui Chen.

Just then, a hand patted Ma Weiqian’s shoulder.

Annoyed, Ma Weiqian rudely shook it off.

He thought it was Xu returning.

”No manners! How dare you pat my shoulder!” Ma Weiqian angrily turned his head and shouted.

Seeing who was behind him, he froze.

Standing behind him were two South Americans, one tall and bald, with tattoos on his face, the other shorter, somewhat skinny, with triangular eyes and a fierce look.

The one who patted his shoulder was the shorter one.

”What did you just say?” The shorter man, although not understanding Ma Weiqian’s previous Chinese words, knew the tone was rude and glared with triangular eyes and scoffed.

Originally, they intended to be ”polite”, but didn’t expect such a brash Asian face.

”Sorry! I mistook you for someone else!” Ma Weiqian noticed their hostility and quickly apologized with a smile.

However, obviously, his attitude couldn’t revert them to being ”polite.”

The bald man coldly told Ma Weiqian, ”Hey, Foreigner! This isn’t your seat, get out!”

Suddenly being expelled, especially in front of Cui Chen, was highly embarrassing for Ma Weiqian.

Although there were two of them, they didn’t look particularly tall or strong, so Ma Weiqian boldly said, ”This table isn’t marked reserved, whoever comes gets it, why should I leave!”

Bai Xiaosheng and Cui Chen naturally saw that the two were troublemakers, but they had no obligation to help someone like Ma Weiqian. Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying felt the same, and Cui Xuexue wished for a commotion.

”This table is ours!” The triangular-eyed short man said coldly to Ma Weiqian, ”We drink here every day, it’s always been ours!”

Ma Weiqian was unnerved by their gaze and thought about giving up the seat, but looking around, he saw no other free seats nearby.

If he gave up his seat, he’d either stand drinking or leave.

He wasn’t willing to do either.

After all, he was sent by Ambery to discuss business with Cui Chen and couldn’t afford to lose face in front of him.

”You should follow the rules, I’m...an American!” Ma Weiqian boldly blurted out.

In his mind, such an identity was universally recognized, symbolizing superiority.

”American?” Baldhead and Triangular Eyes were taken aback, looking at each other.

As Ma Weiqian thought this might work, the two sneered, and Baldhead stepped forward, grabbed Ma Weiqian’s collar, and lifted him, ”Even if you’re the white-skinned kind of American, this is South America! Leave now, or I’ll throw you out!”

They suddenly moved toward him.

Ma Weiqian’s face changed in panic; he was a man used to office life and had never seen such a scene.

Seeing this from afar, Xu, who had fetched the drinks, was too frightened to approach.

”Let go of me! Can’t you see, we have more people, all these people are with me.” Ma Weiqian said haphazardly, pointing at Bai Xiaosheng and the others to threaten them.

Baldhead and Triangular Eyes followed his gesture to see Bai Xiaosheng and the others.

With similar Asian faces and sitting close together, they instantly believed him.

”Are you going to stand up for him?” Baldhead asked menacingly.

Bai Xiaosheng, Cui Chen, Lei Ying, Lin Weiwei, and Cui Xuexue all shook their heads.

The others might be one thing, but Lei Ying, being a big guy, immediately ”distanced himself,” making Baldhead and Triangular Eyes relax, deeply disdainful—they’d always heard Asian people were timid, and now seeing it proved true...

Seeing this, Ma Weiqian turned pale, and cried out, ”You can’t say that, we’re of the same origin, our own people!”

In trouble, he claimed them as kin, where was his previous pride in his new citizenship?

Bai Xiaosheng and others couldn’t be bothered.

Seeing a table full of Asian faces being silenced by just two of them, Baldhead and Triangular Eyes gained confidence. Especially Triangular Eyes, who suddenly turned his gaze to Lin Weiwei and Cui Xuexue.

Asian women are inherently beautiful, and these two girls stood out even more, coupled with the ”timid” Asian men at the table, he developed improper thoughts.

”Ladies, may I invite you for a drink?” Triangular Eyes approached Lin Weiwei and Cui Xuexue with a lecherous smile.

Baldhead was momentarily stunned, but quickly joined in the laughter, ”When Mr. Bass invites you, you should agree, or you won’t be able to leave here! We are not just two people in this city.”

His words carried a threatening undertone.

People drinking nearby had noticed the commotion from the start and now began whispering hearing these words.
