Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Xu Yun went to meet her, expecting a private date.

But when he got there, he was dumbfounded. It was a crowd!

”Hey, handsome,” everyone greeted him warmly.

”Hello.”

Xu Yun sat down beside Song Xiaowei, confused. ”What’s going on?” he asked.

”Something unexpected came up.”

Song Xiaowei said awkwardly, ”They’re my classmates from the acting department. I ran into them, and when they heard I got the job at the TV station, they insisted on celebrating with me.”

Xu Yun was speechless.

’It’s just dinner,’ he thought. ’A few more people just makes it livelier.’

’Besides, they were all beautiful college girls.’

”Xiaowei, and here we were wondering why you didn’t want to eat with us. Turns out you had a date with a handsome guy,” one of the girls teased, eyeing Xu Yun, who was both handsome and carried himself well. ”Aren’t you going to introduce us?”

”I’m Xu Yun.”

Xu Yun introduced himself. ”I’m a friend of Xiaowei’s.”

”You mean boyfriend, right?”

The girls asked probingly. ”So, Xiaowei, this is why you’ve been turning down all the guys at school? Your heart was already taken.”

Song Xiaowei was at a loss for words.

”Hey, handsome,” one of the women asked curiously, ”Are you a senior in college too?”

”No.”

Xu Yun replied, ”I graduated a while ago. I run a small business now.”

”Oh, so you’re a business owner.”

The girl asked, ”What industry are you in? Do you have any positions that would be a good fit for us? We’re about to start job hunting.”

”A media company.”

Xu Yun looked at the group of girls and smiled. ”If you’re interested, you can audition for the female lead or other roles when my company films its short dramas.”

”What? Really?”

Hearing this, they were thrilled. ”Can we really do that?”

What acting student doesn’t dream of being the leading lady?

And the lead in a short drama is still the lead.

Besides, they had just seen the news about a short drama that raked in 120 million in just one week.

The lead actress, an acting major, had even gone viral because of it.

’So even if we can’t be movie stars, becoming online celebrities would be great, as long as it pays well.’

”Yes.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Just get the company’s address from Xiaowei later.”

”Okay, thank you, Brother Xu.” They all started calling him that, just like Xiaowei.

”No problem. Any friend of Xiaowei is a friend of mine.”

Someone teased, ”Xiaowei, I hear you need connections to get into a TV station. Did Brother Xu help you get in?”

”Yes.”

Song Xiaowei didn’t try to hide it. ”I’d actually been eliminated,” she said frankly. ”But Brother Xu settled it with a single phone call.”

”Wow, that’s amazing.”

At her words, the others’ eyes filled with a mix of envy and jealousy.

They looked at Xu Yun with a newfound sense of awe.

’If only he could get me a spot too,’ they thought.

But that was just a wistful thought.

They chatted while they ate, with the conversation mostly revolving around Xu Yun and Song Xiaowei.

As for their relationship status, Xu Yun neither confirmed nor denied anything.

He let them believe what they wanted.

After eating for a while, the girls knew they would be overstaying their welcome.

So they got up, said their goodbyes, and left the two of them to their date.

After Song Xiaowei settled the bill, the two of them started walking along the riverside path.

The summer breeze off the river still carried a touch of muggy heat.

Song Xiaowei was in a long white dress, her long black hair casually falling over her shoulders.

Her perfectly proportioned features gave her a delicate beauty.

Her only flaw, perhaps, was that she was a bit flat-chested.

Xu Yun smiled and asked, ”How much longer are we going to walk like this?”

’Some things a woman is too reserved to say,’ he thought. ’A man has to be the one to bring it up.’

’Otherwise, we could be walking all night.’

’I came here for a date, not a workout.’

”Are you tired of walking?”

Xu Yun replied, ”I’m tired. Why don’t we find a place to rest?”

Song Xiaowei knew this moment was coming and had mentally prepared herself.

She just wasn’t comfortable bringing up this sort of thing herself.

Now that Xu Yun had brought it up, she said shyly, ”I know a nice hotel up ahead. Maybe we could rest there?”

”Sounds good. Lead the way.”

Xu Yun extended his hand and said, ”Give me your hand.”

”Huh?”

Xu Yun took her hand and said as they walked, ”This way, we look more like a couple.”

They turned back, returned to his car, and he drove Song Xiaowei to a five-star hotel.

He booked an executive suite.

’You can’t cut corners on things like this.’

’Plus, it was secure. There was little to no chance of hidden cameras.’

’After all, as a frequent browser of the amateur sections online, he knew most of those hidden camera videos were filmed in cheap motels.’

After entering the room, a nervous Song Xiaowei didn’t know what to do.

Seeing this, Xu Yun wasted no time. He swept her into his arms and carried her straight to the bathroom.

...

(A thousand words are omitted here. Forgive me, I can’t write smut.)

...

「The next morning, it was a familiar scene.」

He was alone in the hotel bed. The woman from last night was gone.

’It felt like he was the only one in the world who got to have fun,’ he thought. ’Everyone else had to get up and go to work the next day.’

Xu Yun opened his phone to a message from Song Xiaowei.

”I’m off to the TV station.”

”And... thank you for being so gentle last night.”

Xu Yun chuckled.

He put down his phone, got out of bed, and began practicing the Eight Pieces of Brocade in front of the massive floor-to-ceiling window.
