Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Xu Yun and Li Jinshu headed straight for the company, arriving at 11:40 AM.

His eyes lit up when he saw the fully renovated office.

It was an almost perfect replica of the design renderings Jinshu had shown him.

Plus, with all the high-quality materials used, the overall design and feel of the place was both natural and comfortable.

While admiring her own work, Jinshu said smugly, ”So, are you satisfied with my creation?”

”I’m satisfied.”

”Of course, I can’t take all the credit. Susu and Ning Qian contributed too.”

”We only helped supervise. We can’t take any credit for it.”

Su Mu said with a smile, ”All right, it’s getting close. Why don’t you two rest for a bit? We’ll start the opening ceremony at twelve o’clock sharp.”

”Okay.”

A moment later, the opening ceremony began, with Su Mu briefly presiding over it.

She said a few words for good luck, and then the ribbon-cutting ceremony began.

A long red ribbon was stretched across the company’s main entrance, with Xu Yun standing alone in the center.

Ning Qian walked over holding a tray, while Jinshu and Su Mu stood on either side of Xu Yun, each holding a large confetti cannon.

Yu Xuan shouted, ”Let the ribbon-cutting begin! Three... two... one!”

Xu Yun snipped the decorative rosette on the ribbon with a pair of golden scissors. At the same moment, Jinshu and Su Mu twisted their confetti cannons, and a shower of colorful paper burst over Xu Yun’s head, fluttering down around him.

The only guest present, Liang Yan, was in charge of taking photos. Standing right in front, she captured the beautiful moment.

Everyone was in the frame—except for her.

Next, Xu Yun personally lit a string of firecrackers, which went off with a series of loud POPS and CRACKLES.

People from nearby offices came out to see what was going on. They now knew that a new media company called ”Baiyun” had opened in the area.

The company was now officially established, and it had its own office building!

Liang Yan came forward to congratulate him. ”Congratulations on the new venture, President Xu. By the way, I have a gift for you.”

Xu Yun asked curiously, ”What kind of gift?”

”The short-form drama we invested in went viral just three days after its release.”

Liang Yan said happily, ”In just these three days, we’ve brought in over 100 million in revenue, and it’s still climbing.”

”If we subtract our initial investment and taxes, our net profit will be 40 million!”

”Based on our 60/40 split, your company’s share is 24 million!”

”Holy shit, are you serious?”

For the first time, Xu Yun felt that doing business was even more profitable than his system.

’24 million in just three days!’

Jinshu, Su Mu, Ning Qian, and Yu Xuan, who were standing nearby, were all absolutely stunned.

They never imagined that their boss’s casual investment would yield such a massive return.

And the crucial part was, it had only been released for three days!

More money was sure to keep pouring in.

All of them were shocked, even Su Mu, who had initially been skeptical about this market and had only agreed because of Xu Yun.

She had been mentally prepared for the project to lose money, or at best, break even.

’But who would have thought that a project he’d casually picked for them to invest in could earn so much in just three days!’

”Of course it’s true. Why would I lie to you about something like this?”

Liang Yan said, ”Here’s what I was thinking. Let’s settle the profit shares monthly. That way, it won’t pile up so much that I get too attached to it and don’t want to give it to you.”

”That works. Just coordinate with Su Mu when you have a chance.”

”But I want to coordinate with *you*!”

”I don’t handle company business. I don’t have time.”

”Don’t get any ideas,” Xu Yun said dismissively.

Liang Yan was left speechless.

After the ribbon-cutting, everyone eagerly went to check out their new offices.

Xu Yun was no exception.

What he didn’t know, however, was that his office was not a typical one.

When Jinshu designed Xu Yun’s office, she’d had a secret plan in mind.

She had planned to resign from her old job and become Xu Yun’s secretary.

So, to make it easier for her and Xu Yun to have secret rendezvous at the office, she had designed a hidden passage connecting the secretary’s office and the general manager’s office.

But who would have known that Yu Xuan would swoop in and take the position?

As a result, the secretary’s office now belonged to Yu Xuan. In the end, all her hard work had only benefited someone else.

Jinshu felt a pang of frustration whenever she thought about it.

However, she had no intention of telling either of them about the secret door. She didn’t want to give them a place for their own secret rendezvous.

After everyone briefly acquainted themselves with their offices, Xu Yun took them all out for a celebratory lunch.

He chose Crane Garden as the venue.

As far as Xu Yun knew, it was the best and most expensive restaurant in Jiangcheng.

It wasn’t too busy at lunchtime, and there were still two ultra-VIP private rooms available on the third floor.

Xu Yun’s group chose one of them, the ”Yichan Residence.”

He’d been to the other private room once before and had no desire to go back.

When the owner heard Xu Yun had arrived, he came over enthusiastically to greet him. ”President Xu, it’s been a while!”

”Been busy. No time.”

”See?” Xu Yun said with a smile. ”As soon as I had a free moment, I came to give you some business.”

”Thank you.”

The owner looked at the group—one man and five women, every single one of them a beauty—and thought to himself, ’You bastard. You were probably too busy chasing women.’

’He used to bring one or two with him. Now, holy hell, he’s graduated to five!’

’Two more and he’d have a full set.’

’He’s giving Wei Xiaobao a run for his money at this point.’

”President Xu, just tell the server what you and your party would like to order.”

”I’ll give you twenty percent off today,” the owner added with a smile.

”Alright, thanks, boss.”

After the owner left, Xu Yun turned to the others and said, ”Today’s a happy day. Order whatever you want. Don’t worry about saving me money—the owner’s giving us a discount, after all.”
