The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 680: Chapter 692: Let the Two Settle the Marriage First

Xia Xiaonuan shook her head, ”I can’t eat anything...”

At this moment, her phone rang.

Xia Xiaonuan glanced at the name on the screen and her face slightly changed.

In the end, she still walked out the door and answered helplessly.

”Nangong Yaoling, what’s the matter?”

”Where are you? Grandpa wants us to go back to the old house for dinner, says he has something to discuss.”

Xia Xiaonuan glanced at the door of the hospital room.

”I’m at a friend’s place tonight, help me explain to Grandpa. I’ll go see him tomorrow.”

”Xia Xiaonuan, do you need Grandpa to personally call you? Every time he asks you to come back, you don’t. Do you completely disregard him?” Nangong Yaoling said coldly.

Xia Xiaonuan was stunned.

At this moment, Nangong Feihong softly said, ”You should go back, I’m here.”

Xia Xiaonuan hesitated for a moment, thinking, Grandpa has been so good to her, she really shouldn’t always refuse. She might as well talk with him tonight.

She said reluctantly, ”Alright, I’ll take a cab back later.”

She hung up the phone.

Xia Xiaonuan looked at the hospital room.

Nangong Feihong asked, ”Xiaonuan, what’s really going on between you and Shaochen?”

Previously, he hadn’t noticed anything unusual.

However, this incident was really too strange.

Xia Xiaonuan opened the door and walked in.

She sat by the bed for a little while and said to Feihong, ”I’ll come back to visit him later. I leave this to you.”

Nangong Feihong gritted his teeth, ”Alright, don’t worry, with me here there’s no problem.”

Xia Xiaonuan looked at him gratefully and punched him hard on the chest.

”Thank you!”

Nangong Feihong smiled.

However, Xia Xiaonuan didn’t expect that tonight Grandpa wanted to discuss the marriage between Shaochen and Zhong Li.

At the dining table, Nangong Jinlie looked at Nangong Yaoling and Xiaonuan and said, ”During the day, Liang Shaochen’s father, Liang Jingzong, came over.”

Xia Xiaonuan’s hand paused slightly while picking up the food.

Nangong Yaoling glanced at Xia Xiaonuan then asked, ”Grandpa, why did he come over?”

”He came to propose, hoping that Shaochen and Zhong Li can settle the marriage soon.”

Xia Xiaonuan suddenly lifted her eyes, looking at Nangong Jinlie, her hand holding the chopsticks couldn’t help but tremble slightly.

With a slight smile on his face, he continued, ”Actually, I’ve thought about this for a long time. Zhong Li, this kid, lost her father when she was ten, and after she grew up her mother remarried to Singapore. She’s been alone in the country, although I feel more assured with Ling’er here. But after all, a girl should have a good future.”

Xia Xiaonuan felt as if she had been struck by lightning.

She never thought Nangong Zhongli had such an experience. She always thought she was a princess adored by thousands. But it turns out, she lost her father at a young age, and her mother also left her.

”So, you mean, you want her to marry Shaochen...”

”Since the Liang Family has the intention, and Zhong Li has always liked Shaochen; moreover, I also appreciate Shaochen. He should treat Zhong Li well... So, I hope they can first settle the marriage, it can also be considered a relief for the third child.”

Nangong Jinlie sighed.

Xia Xiaonuan picked up the chopsticks, trying to act nonchalantly while taking food, but accidentally bumped the water cup beside.

”Pa——” The water cup overturned, and the water splashed out instantly.
