The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 677: Chapter 689: Nan Mo, Why Are You So Foolish?

What did he mean? Could he really be waiting for her at the square?

”Xiaonuan, are you done? It’s about to start!”

Xia Xiaonuan snapped back to reality and quickly said, ”I know!”

...

In the square, because it was winter, there weren’t many tourists.

A few young students were playing ice skating in a distant corner.

Liang Shaochen was carrying a bouquet of perfume lilies, a smile curling on his lips, as he walked to the center of the square.

He didn’t know if she liked these flowers.

He had spent quite some time in the flower shop, and in the end, he still thought this bouquet suited her best.

It was his first time voluntarily buying flowers for a girl. He felt a bit embarrassed while choosing, and was teased by the shop assistant in good humor.

He came to a wooden bench and sat down.

However, as time passed by, minute by minute, the kids who were roller skating had already packed up and left.

But he still didn’t see Xiaonuan’s figure.

The wind started to blow in the sky. He was wearing an ash-grey coat with a scarf wrapped around his neck.

But after staying for so long, the wind still blew through his clothes, making his whole body shiver.

His car was not far away.

However, he didn’t dare get into the car to warm up, afraid that if Xiaonuan came and couldn’t find him, she would panic.

He didn’t believe she could be so heartless to let him wait there indefinitely.

The sky gradually darkened.

An elderly man who had been exercising was returning from the mountain road. He saw Liang Shaochen still sitting there, with his nose and ears frozen red and purple, looking pitiful. He couldn’t help but say, ”Young man, stop waiting! She’s not coming! Be careful not to catch a cold!”

Liang Shaochen just smiled, ”Thank you, I’ll wait a little longer.”

The old man saw his stubborn expression, shook his head at him, and turned around to leave.

As he walked, he sighed with emotion, thinking that there were very few such lovestruck young men these days.

Liang Shaochen hung his head, lifting his stiff fingers to check his watch.

There was a look of desolation in his eyes.

Xia Xiaonuan finished up her work, her heart still pounding.

She tried calling him a few more times, but all her calls went straight to voicemail.

Qi Yue said, ”Xiaonuan, what are you staring at? It’s snowing outside, hurry up and pack up to go home.”

Xia Xiaonuan nodded, smiled, and said, ”Alright, you go ahead.”

Qi Yue gave her a strange look, stepped forward, and asked, ”Is it because of Young Master...?” Seeing her distracted all day, could it be that they had another argument?

Last time, although Nangong’s grandfather had stood up for Xiaonuan, Yaoling, in the end, did not attend the intern’s meeting.

Xia Xiaonuan gave her a pat, ”I’m really fine, you go ahead! You’ll miss the subway!”

Hearing this, Qi Yue said, ”I really have to go now, bye! Call me if you need anything!”

After Qi Yue left, Xia Xiaonuan looked at her watch.

It was almost eight at night.

Liang Shaochen... If he had seen her message, surely he wouldn’t still be waiting for her, right?

But why was his phone off?

Xia Xiaonuan walked out of the company, looking at the snowflakes falling from the sky. There was already a thick layer of about ten centimeters of snow on the ground.

She hailed a taxi.

”Driver, to De Fei Square, please.”

The taxi slowly came to a stop.

Xia Xiaonuan got out of the car and walked towards the square.

There were hardly any people left in the square, and the streetlights cast a dim yellow glow.

A few cars were parked on the street. Xia Xiaonuan looked around.

Suddenly, she saw a figure sitting in the corner.
