The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 674: Chapter 686 You Don’t Understand Love at All

”Shaochen, I used to think you had feelings for Zhong Li, so I never questioned your romantic matters. I never expected you to cause such a big mess this time!”

”Thank goodness for the Nangong Group’s conference, otherwise, do you know how much the company would have lost? Even the company in the US was indirectly affected!”

”Dad!” Liang Shaochen stood up, looking at the furious Liang Jingzong. ”Just because I’m the heir to the family, does it mean I have no right to choose my own love and marriage? Should I face a woman I don’t love for my whole life just for money and career?”

”You’re still young and have no idea what love is! The women around you, which one isn’t there because of your status? If you had nothing, do you think those women would still be clinging to you? Son, don’t be foolish!”

Liang Shaochen was stunned for a moment upon hearing this.

Does he not understand love?

For over ten years, he’s been searching for Qiqi. He tried for several years to fall in love with another woman, but it never worked.

Because his heart was filled with Qiqi, no other woman could fit in! Even if she was the most noble princess, desired by men all over the world, he still couldn’t let her into his heart.

If one day he became a poor man, would Qiqi still stay by his side?

In this world, he might not trust anyone, but he would always trust his Qiqi!

Because their hearts are connected, no one understands her better than he does.

Liang Shaochen’s clear pupils seemed to flicker with a hint of mist.

Thinking of Qiqi, regardless of any situation, his heart would involuntarily soften.

He clenched his lowered hand into a fist and looked at Liang Jingzong.

”Dad, you don’t understand me at all! I do understand love, and that’s why I firmly believe that marriage must be with a woman I love! Did you bring me back from the orphanage just to make me your puppet, sacrificing everything for the family and career?”

”Slap—!” As soon as Liang Shaochen finished speaking, a slap landed hard on his face.

”Ungrateful child!” Liang Jingzong’s face turned pale with anger, trembling as he pointed at him. ”How have I treated you all these years? And you talk about your father this way! Absolutely outrageous!”

Liang Shaochen’s face turned slightly from the slap.

How has he treated him all these years?

No one knows better than he does.

He’s given him everything, provided money, sent him to the best schools, ensured he led the best life.

His sole focus was investing heavily to train him as the successor to the business!

But... did he ever truly give him a day of fatherly love?

He had grown accustomed to it, having been raised in an orphanage. His father’s love was all given to his daughter with Mrs. Lin, his sister Liang Yuzhu.

However, he never resented Yuzhu because of this; instead, he treated her even better.

Because, in this world, Yuzhu was the only one he felt relatively close to.

Sometimes, he would think of Yuzhu as Qiqi, striving to treat her well, as if Qiqi was still by his side.

But who can understand the bitterness in his heart over the years?

Liang Shaochen looked at Liang Jingzong, his pupils gradually becoming distant.

”No matter what you say, forgive me for being unfilial. I already have a woman I love, and I will never marry Miss Zhong Li!”
