The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 661: Chapter 663: Is She Pregnant with His Child?

Qin Yi waited outside the emergency room, his hands interlaced, eyes focused on the emergency room door, pacing anxiously.

At this moment, the door suddenly opened.

A female doctor wearing glasses walked out, looking at Qin Yi: ”Are you the patient’s boyfriend?”

”How is she? Is she okay?” Qin Yi grabbed the doctor’s arm, asking eagerly.

The female doctor glanced at Qin Yi’s tense face and said: ”The baby in her belly is temporarily safe, but she still needs to stay in the hospital for observation. The first three months of pregnancy are a high-risk period; she is not even two months in now. It’s crucial to avoid any stress for the pregnant woman. You, as the baby’s father, need to pay extra attention, understand?”

Qin Yi was stunned upon hearing this.

”I’m talking to you; did you hear me?” The doctor frowned displeasedly seeing him frozen like that.

Qin Yi snapped back to reality and grabbed the doctor, asking: ”What did you say? You said she’s pregnant? Is this true? Really true?”

The doctor pushed her glasses up and pulled her hand back from his grasp.

Frowning, she said: ”You didn’t even know she was pregnant? Young people these days, honestly! Her situation is not stable right now, so if you want to keep the baby, be sure to pay utmost attention, understand?”

Qin Yi nodded blankly: ”I... I understand.” His fingers trembled, his legs even shaking.

Shock, excitement, surprise, and confusion, he stood there, dumbfounded for dozens of seconds before regaining his senses.

Zhong Li is pregnant... less than two months. Isn’t that...

Could it be, could she be pregnant with his child?

Qin Yi put his hand to his mouth, slowly forming a fist. At this moment, the emergency room door opened, and Zhong Li was pushed out.

She lay on the bed, still asleep.

Her face was very thin, very pale.

Yet still beautiful and captivating.

Qin Yi followed, looking at her.

He followed the doctor all the way as she was sent back to the ward.

After the doctor left, he sat alone by the bed, motionless, staring at the girl on the bed.

Nangong Zhongli...

This dream he once thought was out of reach.

He never imagined that one day, she would become his woman, her first time given to him, and moreover... she is pregnant with his child.

Qin Yi slowly clenched the hand on his leg into a fist, and he gently extended his hand, grasping Nangong Zhongli’s slender hand.

His broad palm tightly enveloped her hand in his grip.

”Zhongli... I’m sorry... I’m sorry...” He suddenly placed her hand on his forehead, apologizing in a hoarse and guilty voice.

He finally understood why she was acting strange at the company last time and why she recoiled from his touch.

He finally understood why she’s been craving sour drinks, and despite not liking small animals, she began to like cats and even named one.

Could it be... all these were related to her pregnancy? Maybe even she didn’t notice all these changes!

But he noticed.

This stubborn and proud girl, always pretending to be strong, always thinking she feared nothing.

But at the end of the day, she’s just a woman!

What had he done, what kind of confusion and pain did he bring her? How could he let the woman he loves most face all this alone?!

In an instant, regret, guilt, and self-blame thoroughly overwhelmed his heart.
