The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 549: Chapter 550 Young Mistress is Kidnapped 2

”And this mysterious person knows our company’s inner secrets so well, most likely he has bribed one of our internal employees...”

Nangong Yaoling’s fingertips slowly slid across his chin, his gaze carrying a hint of menace.

Qin Yi stepped forward and suddenly drew a handgun, pointing it at the forehead of the man in his thirties.

The man was scared stiff, his face turning as pale as a sheet as he said, ”I... I’ll talk... Just don’t kill me...”

”Who is it?”

”It’s... it’s Xiao He from your finance department, Manager Xiao... he... he gave me 500,000 to spread the Young Master’s and that woman’s affairs online... and said he would give me another 1.5 million after it’s done...”

”So it’s really him!” Nangong Yaoling gritted his knuckles until they cracked. He had suspected this person all along, but because he was an old-timer who had founded the company alongside An Zongcheng, his grandfather had always held him in high regard. For the sake of their old ties, he had turned a blind eye.

The HR department had already listed him for retirement this year, yet he still wanted to stir up trouble at this time!

”You dare to take any kind of dirty money, have you even thought about whether you’ll live long enough to spend it!” Qin Yi stomped hard on the man’s shoulder.

The man sprawled on the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood, and raised his hands in surrender, pleading, ”Young Master... I was wrong! I know I was wrong... Young Master, please spare me... I’m just an ordinary person... I know... I’ve heard he’s planning something big today, and then he’ll run far away with the money...”

Nangong Yaoling stood up from his chair.

Qin Yi’s expression also changed slightly.

”Did he come to work today?”

”He should be here,” Qin Yi said.

”Seal off all the exits of the company, no one is allowed to leave even a step!”

”Yes, I’ll get people to do it immediately!” Qin Yi said, instructing, ”Take this guy down!”

Two bodyguards immediately stepped forward to carry out the order, dragging the man away.

...

Meanwhile, Xiao He had taken the important documents and was preparing to leave via the elevator.

”Hey, did you hear? The CEO ordered all the company’s passages to be sealed!”

”Really!? What’s going on? Did the CEO and his wife really get divorced?”

”I think there’s something else going on. We should be careful...”

Xiao He stepped out from the corner, watching the backs of the two employees leave, a flash of panic in his eyes.

Could it have been discovered...

He was about to move forward when he saw the elevator open; several black-clad bodyguards rushed out, heading quickly towards his office.

Xiao He stiffened, a look of helplessness flashing in his eyes.

Nangong Yaoling’s response was indeed swift. Now... what should he do?

...

Xia Xiaonuan stepped out of the elevator, intending to find someone to ask where the CEO’s office was.

From a distance, she saw a man standing off to the side in the corner.

She hurried forward and said, ”Excuse me, could you tell me where the CEO’s office is?”

Xiao He turned abruptly at the sound, seeing Xia Xiaonuan, and was slightly taken aback.

It’s her...

He walked up to her, forcing a smile, ”Are you looking for the CEO? I’m on my way to see him too. I’ll take you there.”

Xia Xiaonuan noticed something peculiar about him, one hand hiding within his clothes. But since she was in a hurry, she didn’t think much of it and just smiled, ”Thank you.”

Xiao He led Xia Xiaonuan towards the stairway.

Xia Xiaonuan had thought the office would be inside, but seeing him lead her to the stairs, she couldn’t help but be puzzled, ”Why aren’t we taking the elevator?”
