The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 540: Chapter 542 You Silly Woman

”Thank you for bringing me back. In the future, please don’t appear in front of me again!” Xia Xiaonuan said, then opened the car door and quickly jumped out of the car.

She walked toward the apartment building.

After taking a few steps, she remembered something and came back, rushing to the front of Situ Yan’s car.

She tapped the car hood with her palm.

Situ Yan opened the car door and got out, walking to Xia Xiaonuan, took a look at her, and then opened the hood to take out the luggage.

”No need, I can carry it myself...” Xia Xiaonuan said angrily, trying to snatch her luggage from his hand.

Situ Yan looked around and said, ”This unit doesn’t have a security guard or an elevator, right? Your friend lives here? You should stay at my place instead.”

Xia Xiaonuan said coldly, ”What’s wrong with this place? I used to live in places a hundred times worse than this. What makes you think you can look down on poor people?”

Situ Yan chuckled and looked at her deeply, ”I’ll help you carry it up.”

Just then, Qi Yue walked out from the apartment building.

She paused slightly upon seeing Situ Yan.

Situ Yan was already striding past her carrying the luggage.

She quickly ran to Xia Xiaonuan, tugged at her sleeve, and teased softly, ”Wow, just after your divorce you already found such a handsome guy! Tsk tsk, look at his aura, this car... it’s not much worse than Nangong Yaoling’s...” Qi Yue said, her eyes gleaming as she eyed Situ Yan’s back.

Xia Xiaonuan knocked her on the head, speechless,

laughed and said, ”You love struck girl, what are you thinking? He’s just an ordinary friend...”

”Come on, who would believe that? Spill it, who is he really?” Qi Yue asked, wanting to get to the bottom of it.

”Let’s talk about it later; let’s go upstairs quickly...” Xia Xiaonuan dragged her by the hand.

They went upstairs, where Situ Yan was half-sitting on her luggage, elegantly smoking a cigarette.

Xia Xiaonuan came up, and he coolly blew a smoke ring in her direction.

She was choked, glanced at him with disgust, and waved her hand.

Qi Yue coughed dryly, looked at Situ Yan’s icy handsome face, and blushed, saying quickly, ”I... I’ll open the door!”

Situ Yan’s gaze fell on Xia Xiaonuan, who seemed unwilling to look at him, merely grabbing her luggage and saying, ”Thanks for the help, goodbye...”

”Not inviting me in for a sit?” Situ Yan asked, staring intently at Xia Xiaonuan.

With her head down, feeling his gaze but ignoring it, she said, ”I know you’re busy, so I won’t bother you!” Then she winked at the stunned Qi Yue at the door.

Qi Yue waved her hand at Situ Yan and smiled, ”Haha... handsome guy, you’re welcome to visit another day... bam...”

Before Qi Yue finished speaking, Xia Xiaonuan heartlessly slammed the door shut.

Situ Yan looked at the tightly closed door, frowning slightly.

After a few seconds, he turned and walked downstairs.

He hadn’t been to such an apartment building in a long time, and stepping on the stairs, he suddenly felt a bit empty.

Xia Xiaonuan’s cold gaze, even somewhat disgusted expression, left Situ Yan feeling inexplicably hurt.

Sitting in his car, Situ Yan’s eyes slowly moved to the window of the third floor.

His hand on the steering wheel tightened bit by bit.

Thinking of what Xia Xiaonuan had just scolded him about, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest.

It was at the spot where he got injured last time, and it felt like the wound had reopened.

He placed his palm over his chest.

Sharp black eyes flashed a hint of sadness for a moment.

When I told lies, you took them as truth; when I told the truth, you didn’t believe me.

Xia Xiaonuan... you foolish woman...

His lips curved into a bitter smile.
