The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 25: Chapter 25 I Am Really Very Rich

Song Ci wandered around the storeroom for half a day, bringing out a lot of items, almost changing all the decorations in her room, even the canopy was replaced with one in pink-blue water patterns.

Besides that, she also took out a lot of things to reward the people in the household, including the maids and the nanny around her, until her body was really tired, she returned intently to the Arhat bed in her room and lay down.

Nanny Gong called two little maids to come and massage her legs.

Song Ci propped her forehead with one hand and flipped through the storeroom ledger that Hong You and the others presented with the other hand. The more she looked at it, the more she felt that the foundation of the Prime Minister’s Mansion was indeed not a joke.

With just these items, if she brought them to her world, she could easily become a multi-millionaire.

”I can now be sure of one thing.” Song Ci suddenly spoke up.

Everyone in the room looked over.

Song Ci looked at them: ”I am really incredibly wealthy.”

Pfft.

Someone couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Nanny Gong also laughed: ”You just found out?”

”Yes.” Song Ci sighed heavily, ”My dream has come true, but unfortunately, I’m old now. Can I spend all this money?”

Everyone’s smiles slightly receded.

The old lady’s awkward mood came up again.

Nanny Gong handed over the tea with a smile and said, ”How could you not spend it all? With all that gold and silver, you could throw some into the lotus tank in the yard every day just to hear the sound, right? As for the jewelry and fabrics, if you feel like it, reward them to the madams and young misses for fun.”

Song Ci nodded seriously: ”You’re right. When there was no money before, you’d wish to split a copper coin into two to spend. Now that I have money, I must spend double to make my time in this world worthwhile.”

This remark was related, but everyone thought she was just talking about the hard times before and just laughed it off. The old lady’s nature was never one to be wasteful.

...

Madam Song looked at the pile of luxurious fabrics and two boxes of jewelry in front of her, feeling a bit anxious.

”Did the old lady really tell me to distribute them?” She asked Hong Ju, one of the four main maids by the old lady’s side.

Hong Ju smiled and nodded: ”The old lady is in good spirits today, she checked a few storerooms and took some things out to use. She also said that these bright colors are suitable for the madams, young ladies, and young masters, and asked you to distribute them to make a few sets of summer clothes. She prefers to see vibrant and lively things, and these pieces of jewelry are also for you to distribute.”

Madam Song swallowed her saliva and agreed with a smile, then asked if the old lady’s health had improved and wondered if she should visit to pay her respects.

After seeing Hong Ju off, Song Zhiyuan returned from outside. Upon seeing the pile of items, he asked, ”Who sent the gift?”

Madam Song stepped forward to help him with his clothes and shook her head: ”No one, these were given by mother.”

As she spoke, she recounted what Hong Ju said and anxiously added, ”Prime Minister, do you think there might still be something wrong with mother’s health? Otherwise, why would she suddenly give out these things now? It’s not usually the time for such distribution.”

The old lady’s belongings were typically distributed before one’s passing, but Song Ci was giving them out now, making her think more, especially since she had just been ill.

Song Zhiyuan: ”Didn’t they say mother’s health is much better? I think these fabrics are too brightly colored, not something she would wear at her age. It’s pointless to keep them, so it’s suitable for her to reward you with them. We’ll go visit mother to pay our respects later.”

Madam Song had this intention already and agreed.
