The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 17: Chapter 17 The Flower is Crushed by a Violent Hand

Song Ci’s wrinkled hand pinched the pink peony, looked at Wu Dan with a grin, and said in a peculiar tone, ”What a delicate flower.”

Wu Dan was dumbfounded: ”...”

A thousand taels, just like that, gone?

Wu Dan’s little face turned pale, lips trembling: ”This, this is the Old Master’s...”

”I know, the old man in my house bought it back. Flowers, when bought, are meant to be admired and recklessly destroyed, aren’t they?” Song Ci said with a smile, ”Also, you seem to have forgotten something.”

”What?”

”The Old Master you mentioned, he’s my husband, the father of my son. I’m his wife.” Song Ci was still smiling, but her tone was chilly, ”The two of us are a team, even in death we’ll be buried together. So, does it matter if he bought this flower? Anything he buys is mine, his things are mine, and mine are mine too. Who am I afraid of when I ruin this flower? Do I need to report it to anyone?”

Nanny Gong and Hong You were a bit stunned.

Is the Old Madam suddenly enlightened or just extremely angry, showing her power?

Nanny Gong’s eyes held a glimmer of admiration as she looked at Song Ci with satisfaction, yet she didn’t know that Song Ci’s words made her internally sick to her stomach.

Living together, dying together, oh dear, does she really want to be buried with that chubby old man?

This isn’t the time to fret over this; she looked at Song Dan and continued, ”So, I’m destroying my own things in my own house. Who are you to whine and complain, who do you think you are!”

Wu Dan’s face turned red: ”I, I was just saying the Old Master cherished this pot of Er Qiao very much. I didn’t mean to blame you, Old Madam.”

Song Ci was somewhat disinterested.

Nanny Gong looked at the maids behind her and scolded, ”What are you still standing there for? Drag them out!”

Wu Dan was anxious and panicked.

”Old hag, let’s see if you dare.” An urgent voice came through.

Everyone quickly stepped back and greeted the newcomer in unison: ”Good health, Old Master.”

Wu Dan let out a sigh of relief; it was good that the Old Master had arrived.

Old Master Song rushed over as soon as he heard the news. Seeing the flower pot that now looked like a plucked chicken, he couldn’t help but wail, half kneeling in front of it, hands trembling, ”Er Qiao, my Er Qiao, my thousand taels, aaaah.”

Watching the white, plump old man display such a mournful act, Song Ci’s old face twitched.

He’s even better at acting than me.

”You wicked old woman, how could you destroy my Er Qiao! Compensate me!” Old Master Song pointed at the flower in her hand.

”Yours?” Song Ci raised an eyebrow and said, ”What’s yours is mine, I’m breaking my own, no need for compensation.”

”You’re full of crap, what ’yours is mine,’ aren’t you a bit too shameless for your age,” Old Master Song stood up, stomped his foot in anger, ”And you all, let go of Lady Peony immediately; she’s my person. Let’s see who dares to take her away.”

The maids instinctively looked at Song Ci.

Song Ci squinted at Old Master Song, ”Your person?”

Old Master Song shivered slightly, his lips moved, and he pursed them before arguing, ”She’s the one I specifically hired to take care of the peonies, of course she’s my person.”

”But your person offended me, what do we do about that?”

Old Master Song snorted coldly, ”I see you’re just being unreasonable; it’s not like she did anything to you. Stop putting on airs.”

The detestable old man!

Song Ci stared steadily at him, suddenly changed her expression, clutched her chest, and leaned toward Nanny Gong: ”Oh dear, I’m so angry my chest hurts, I might not live long.”

Old Master Song: ”...”

Damn, not this move again!
