Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Bai Junhao walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the distant scenery, feeling a deep heaviness in his heart, though he didn’t show it. Heaven always seemed to favor Beitang Yao; it would close a door on him, but surely open a large window for him at another moment.

In this world, there truly is no absolute fairness.

”Hey, Junhao, what are you thinking about?” Du Ziheng noticed Bai Junhao standing silently by the window, lost in thought, feeling somewhat left out. He got up and walked over, gently patting Bai Junhao’s shoulder.

Bai Junhao snapped back to reality and chuckled, ”Zi Heng, Yao’s woman is not someone you can afford to provoke. If you don’t want anything to happen to Xia Qingqian, keep your distance from her. Don’t let Yao develop any hostility towards you.”

”Why? Between Yao and Qian Qian, it’s just a piece of paper, a contract. You were there at the time. All they have is that contract, nothing else. I can wait for her; it’s only a little over two years, I can wait!” Du Ziheng appeared angry; why could that brat Yao stick with Xia Qingqian every day, while he had to pine alone here?

”Zi Heng, precisely because of that contract, it’s destined that no one can have any improper thoughts about her.” Bai Junhao turned around to meet Du Ziheng’s gaze, both a warning and persuasion.

Du Ziheng froze momentarily, seeming dazed, ”Junhao, don’t tell me, Yao truly is...”

”Yes, everything that has happened lately isn’t as simple as you think. Yao might indeed have feelings for Xia Qingqian.” Bai Junhao had to admit this point, once he did, all his thoughts truly sank into his heart darkly.

”Then what about his fiancée? Is he really going to keep Qian Qian by his side like this? Has Yao gone mad!!!” Du Ziheng’s anger, subtly hidden in his heart, was becoming increasingly intense, ”I’m going to find him right now!”

Bai Junhao reached out and seized Du Ziheng, who was about to step away, and said in a deep voice, ”If you go now, won’t that indirectly harm Xia Qingqian? Can’t you be less reckless in what you do? Lately, Yao has been investigating a matter related to harming Xia Qingqian.”

”Moreover, Yao has already decided to take Xia Qingqian back to the castle; what will happen next, only heaven knows.” Bai Junhao saw that Du Ziheng had stopped struggling, so he continued speaking, his voice tinged with a trace of melancholy.

Du Ziheng paused, as if he couldn’t understand what Bai Junhao was saying, and furrowed his brow to ask, ”Junhao, what are you saying? Yao is taking Qian Qian back to the castle? Wasn’t he adamantly against going back to the castle? How come...”

Since Yao’s mother passed away, after he seized the power of executive director from Beitang Zhen Ting, he moved out of the castle. It’s been ten years; they had never heard of Yao planning to return to the castle, especially taking Qian Qian back there.

These events came far too suddenly; they had no psychological preparation at all.

”Perhaps this is the so-called power of love? I also don’t understand what Yao is thinking; he truly is becoming more difficult to comprehend.” Bai Junhao sighed, interrupting Du Ziheng’s words.

Du Ziheng, too, fell into contemplation following Bai Junhao’s words. This kind of Beitang Yao was indeed hard to understand. For ten years, he had never truly touched any woman; this time, not only had he gotten involved with Xia Qingqian, he also intended to take her back to the castle.
