Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Groggily, he fell asleep too. The special nurse on duty, initially wanting to check on Xia Qingqian’s condition, saw the door locked from the inside and pursed her lips before leaving.

In the middle of the night, Beitang Yao awoke from the heat. He felt a blazing warmth wherever his hands touched, akin to being scorched, and he startled, quickly getting up and turning on the bedside lamp, his gaze fixed on Xia Qingqian, watching her furrow her brow painfully with pea-sized sweat beads appearing on her forehead.

He reached out to test her temperature, and it was shockingly hot; his heart trembled with fear, and he promptly pressed the red button.

Two minutes later, the on-duty doctor and nurse came to knock at the door, and he went to open it.

The nurse wiped the sweat off Xia Qingqian and gave her an injection.

”Why did she suddenly have a fever in the middle of the night?” Beitang Yao watched from the side, seeing her in pain, his heart ached like being cut with a knife.

”The patient has been feverish for a while, luckily it was discovered early.” The doctor sighed, ”The nurse has already given her an antipyretic injection, and in the upcoming period, let the special nurse take care of her.”

”You all can leave, I’ll take care of her here.” Taking care of her was his responsibility, he wanted to wholeheartedly look after her.

The deluxe ward was equipped with an independent bathroom, he went in and fetched a basin of water, putting a clean towel into the basin to wet it and wrung it out, then placed it on her forehead.

He then fetched another towel to wipe her body everywhere.

Next, his sleepiness completely vanished, solely focused on taking care of Xia Qingqian, he had never done these things before, ordinarily disdainful to do such things, but he did them for Xia Qingqian, what an incredible accomplishment!

In the morning, a new figure appeared in the ward, it was the unruly Du Ziheng, carrying several things in both hands, he appeared here.

”Yao, do you still consider me a brother?” he said somewhat displeasedly, ”Something like this happens and you didn’t inform me at all, truly lacking loyalty!”

”Inform you about what?” Beitang Yao’s voice was very calm, he glanced faintly at Du Ziheng, in his heart he didn’t wish for Du Ziheng to appear here at all.

Right now, he wanted nothing more than to bring Xia Qingqian home, letting the household servants take care of her, rather than having so many people asking about how she was, whether she was better... He didn’t even want to answer these questions, truly annoying!

Shit! Du Ziheng really wanted to punch Beitang Yao, whose irritating face was he showing? Was his appearance here somehow wrong? He came primarily to see how Xia Qingqian was actually doing.

Knowing Beitang Yao, he looked at the things in Du Ziheng’s hands and knew what he was thinking, so he said, ”I don’t need these things, and neither does she. You might as well take them back, give them to someone, or throw them away.” His words were not polite at all.

Du Ziheng originally wanted to walk past Beitang Yao’s side, but was stopped by Beitang Yao, he looked up at Beitang Yao and smiled, ”Yao, what’s with you? Can’t I even come to see Qian Qian? Really!”

Oh great! At Du Ziheng’s calling, Beitang Yao was even more displeased, he gave Du Ziheng a shove, warning, ”Did I authorize you to call her by that name? Du Ziheng, you better be clear, she is my woman, Beitang Yao’s woman, you better put away those little tricks of yours!”
