Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Du Ziheng looked at the darkness clouding Beitang Yao’s face, and his own little heart gave a shudder. It took him quite a while to find his voice and ask, ”Yao, are you serious this time?”

Beitang Yao ignored Du Ziheng’s question.

How could Du Ziheng possibly let Beitang Yao off the hook? He tossed all the gift boxes in his hands onto the floor, walked up to Beitang Yao, gave him a long, deep look, and said, ”Yao, you really have changed. When Junhao told me, I didn’t believe it. Now, I really do.” He let out a short laugh. ”But if you ever make her cry, I will definitely declare war on you. Brotherhood be damned.”

”You won’t get that chance. Even if she’s no longer my woman, none of you are allowed to be with her.” The moment Beitang Yao said this, he thoroughly pissed Du Ziheng off, and Du Ziheng swung his fist, landing a hard punch right on Beitang Yao’s handsome face. The force of it!

”Yao, why didn’t you dodge?” Du Ziheng stared, horrified that he had really punched Beitang Yao, and frowned as he asked.

Beitang Yao, caught off guard, stumbled toward the bed. His hand just happened to bump into Xia Qingqian’s hand with the IV needle in it. His heart suddenly clenched, an inexplicable anger flaring up inside him. He stood and returned Du Ziheng a solid punch!

”Huh? Yao, you actually hit back!” Du Ziheng, utterly cowardly, didn’t dare throw another punch. If they really went at it, the one lying in that hospital bed later would be him. He used both hands to protect his face, dodging the punches Beitang Yao was swinging at him...

The doctor and nurses heard the commotion and rushed over. Seeing the two men trading blows, they hurried to stop them. ”What’s going on! The patient is resting! What are you doing? Are you going to let the patient rest or not?”

The doctor couldn’t be bothered about their identities anymore. This was a military hospital—here, the patient came first! And these people actually started fighting right in front of the patient; they really had no sense of propriety at all!

Startled by the sudden interruption, Beitang Yao and Du Ziheng both stopped. Du Ziheng forced a grin and said, ”Hehe, we’re just messing around, it’s nothing...”

Nothing, my ass—his facial muscles were throbbing with pain, and there was still a metallic taste of blood in his mouth. How was this nothing! What utter injustice: he’d come over early in the morning only to get beaten up. Truly an unlucky day. Next time he went out, he’d have to pick an auspicious date first.

Beitang Yao, on the other hand, simply straightened his clothes and pointed at Du Ziheng, who was clutching his face. ”Please show him out. He’s not welcome here.”

Du Ziheng was full of grievance. It was clearly Beitang Yao who had started this war, so how did it all become his fault alone?

He cleared his throat and said, ”I actually came to see my friend Xia Qingqian.” Du Ziheng swallowed his indignation. Beitang Yao actually had to interfere even with how he addressed Xia Qingqian. It was just too suffocating!

”You’ve seen her now. Please leave.” Beitang Yao said coolly, then signaled the nurse to pick up the things on the floor and hand them to Du Ziheng.

”Yao, you’re way too biased. Why is Junhao allowed to come over, but I’m the only one who gets hit by you? This is so unfair!” Du Ziheng was in no mood now. His own brother was actually treating him like this; it was really not loyal at all.

Besides, he had just called her Qian Qian once. Was that really enough to set Beitang Yao off like this? Seriously!

Beitang Yao said nothing, merely half-narrowing his icy eyes as he glanced at the doctor.

The doctor couldn’t stand the chill in Beitang Yao’s gaze and quickly walked over to Du Ziheng. ”Mr. Du, please step outside first. The patient is resting and shouldn’t be disturbed.”
