Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

The air here is much more comfortable than in the room, filled with a faint, captivating fragrance. Furthermore, today’s light is so gentle, the sunshine on her body feels so mild, improving her overall complexion a bit.

She knows she must be an understanding woman. When he says he’s busy, she absolutely cannot act spoiled, asking him to stay with her or something. Of course, she has thought about it to herself, but she doesn’t dare to take it too seriously, as these things don’t belong to her.

”Then you go ahead and get busy. I will be good, and won’t go anywhere, just stroll in the garden, okay?” she said with a gentle smile. She knew Beitang Yao must be very busy since it’s the busy season for the company. Him staying at home for such a long time really delays too much of his time.

Thinking about how he had been standing and watching her fall asleep just now made her feel a wave of guilt inside, her eyes moist with a hint of remorse.

”Mm, remember to take good care of yourself.” He reminded her once more, gave her a deep look, then turned around to head back to the room. After changing into a suit, he returned to work.

Xia Qingqian remained seated until she heard the sound of Beitang Yao’s car, then she relaxed her body and reached out to touch her knee. Her legs seemed unable to move, and her heart was filled with fear, she wanted to get up.

She held onto the chair arm and tried to stand, but as soon as her feet touched the ground, she fell to the floor! The maid nearby, who had been making tea, was so startled by the noise that she screamed, quickly put down the teapot, and rushed over to help Xia Qingqian up.

”Miss Xia, what happened? How did you fall to the ground?” The maid was so scared her heart nearly jumped out of her chest! If anything happened to Xia Qingqian, her own life would be in danger!

Xia Qingqian’s legs were powerless; she had felt it since she woke up. Because Beitang Yao was beside her, she forced herself to endure; actually, she was extremely afraid. If she really couldn’t get out of bed for the rest of her life, what would she do?

After Beitang Yao left, she wanted to try to see if her legs really had no strength left.

Now, she kept pounding her legs as tears streamed down her face; she had never thought she might become someone with limited mobility.

”What’s wrong with me? Why can’t my legs move?” Xia Qingqian reached out to grab the maid’s hand, her fingernails dug into the maid’s skin, almost bringing tears to the maid’s eyes from the pain!

”Miss Xia, don’t worry, I’ll call the Night Wind Housekeeper right away.” The maid tried to comfort Xia Qingqian, but Xia Qingqian’s emotions remained unstable causing the maid to panic, unsure of what to do, ”Miss Xia, don’t be afraid, the Young Master won’t let anything happen to you! I’ll get the Night Wind Housekeeper to check on you...”

The maid said while standing up, but as she turned, Xia Qingqian tightly grasped her hand, urgently saying: ”Aunt Xue, don’t call the Night Wind Housekeeper! Don’t go! Maybe it’ll get better after a while!” This was her way of comforting herself. If Night Wind found out about her legs, it would also alarm Beitang Yao.

She noted how tired he looked, and now he had returned to his busy work at the company. How could she distract him with her issues? He was already tired enough; she didn’t want to worry him more because of herself.

Moreover, she had studied medicine and needed to believe this was only temporary; maybe it would really improve after a while!
