Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Xia Qingqian, upon hearing that she would be able to move freely in a few days, let out a light sigh of relief.

”Qian Qian, I’m sorry. It’s my fault that I’ve implicated you. If it weren’t for my distrust and hesitation back then, you wouldn’t have ended up like this...” Beitang Huan sat by the bedside, holding Xia Qingqian’s small hand, her eyes full of apology as she spoke softly to her.

Xia Qingqian smiled gently, returned Beitang Huan’s grip, and shook her head, saying, ”This has nothing to do with you. I have this illness myself, and I can’t blame anyone. Besides, it’s not your fault.”

Listening to Xia Qingqian’s words made Beitang Huan’s heart tremble even more. The kinder Xia Qingqian was, the more it highlighted her own malice! She had always been scheming about various ways to get rid of Xia Qingqian.

It was clearly her fault that Xia Qingqian fell, so why didn’t Xia Qingqian show any intention of blaming her at all?

”You really don’t blame me even a bit? After all, it’s because of me that you’re like this...” Beitang Huan felt extremely guilty; at the critical moment, it was Xia Qingqian who saved her. If she did anything wrong to Xia Qingqian again, it would be unforgivable!

Xia Qingqian shook her head, her face showing a trace of fatigue. ”Huan, this has nothing to do with you, don’t take it to heart. It’s my own problem.” After a pause, she looked up at Beitang Huan and said, ”Huan, if you and Housekeeper Ye have nothing to do, could you go out first? I’m tired and want to rest...”

”Alright, then have a good rest, don’t think about anything, okay?” Beitang Huan said as she helped Xia Qingqian lie down, tucked her in, and then left with Ye Feng.

Xia Qingqian lightly closed her eyes and only opened them after Beitang Huan and Ye Feng had left. Resting her head on a pillow imbued with Beitang Yao’s scent, she wept softly.

When she had just heard Ye Feng mention that she had osteogenesis imperfecta, it wasn’t that she wasn’t scared, she had just forced herself to appear as if she had come to terms with it. Only this way, they would not worry about her. Besides, they weren’t her family; how could they truly care about her?

Beitang Huan’s change in attitude towards her was only because Xia Qingqian had saved her life, leading to Beitang Huan’s guilt. Xia Qingqian was already very content with the fact that Beitang Huan could change her view of her.

She looked at the vast, empty room. Her tear-filled eyes lost focus. She didn’t know what her next step should be. Would Beitang Yao accept a person with a disability?

As the door closed, Beitang Huan held Ye Feng’s hand, frowning and asking, ”Ye Feng, tell me the truth, will she really... be okay?”

”Miss Huan, why do you suddenly care about Miss Xia’s matters? When she can regain her strength to move around, just being a bit careful in the future should be fine.” Ye Feng spoke with a sense of helplessness, secretly sighing. If not for this incident, he wouldn’t have known that Xia Qingqian had such a condition.

”People all have times when they change, especially... since she saved me. I’ve seen many qualities in her that others don’t possess. When faced with things, she calms herself down to figure out a solution. The first thing she considers is always others. A person as kind as her can move even the most unforgivable individuals with her sincerity...” Beitang Huan had to admit that she was indeed touched by Xia Qingqian’s kindness.

Having seen Xia Qingqian fall from the windowsill, and how she held onto that thug’s leg to give herself a chance to escape.
