Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 926: Chapter 928: Young Master, You Never Drink Alcohol

”Young Master, I will keep these all in mind, not to get involved with other men, not to violate any clauses of the contract!” These words, though they frustrated her as she listened and spoke, the Young Master often reminded her like this, and she felt a bit annoyed.

However, she only thought about it in her heart and did not show it.

Beitang Yao stood before her, seemingly having no intention of letting her in. She raised her eyes, meeting Beitang Yao’s icy gaze, and her heart inexplicably trembled. She forced a faint smile.

”Mm,” as he locked eyes with her, his brow lightly furrowed, apparently satisfied with her words, ”a week has already passed. You should gather back that wandering mind of yours soon, work diligently, and don’t make any more mistakes.” This was his bottom line.

To him, Xia Qingqian was a plaything at home and his personal secretary at the company. She had some utility in translation, and being in the same office with her, enjoying her tea skills, he had to admit... the tea she brewed indeed left one lingering over and over.

She obediently stayed by his side, very well-behaved, like an obediently trained pet, only nestling half a zhang away from him, not daring to get too close.

Xia Qingqian furrowed her brows dejectedly, feeling slightly displeased, ”Young Master, can you respect my time? There is still one more day left in this week. This time belongs to me, and you have no right to raise your voice at me!” She suddenly stood up for herself with some indignation.

After saying that, she walked into the house, head held high, strutting under Beitang Yao’s astonished gaze.

Beitang Yao watched Xia Qingqian’s small figure, feeling a rush of white smoke in his mind, clenching his teeth, glaring angrily at her receding figure. The hand by his side tightened slightly, bones creaking.

Damned! He was thinking of changing his opinion of her in the future, but it seemed unnecessary, and appearingly, she didn’t seem to need his gentleness either.

After being in a daze for a while, he also walked into the house, heading straight to the open-air kitchen, and gulped down a glass of lemon water, his eyes, however, were filled with anger.

”Young Master, you never drink... don’t drink...” Ye Feng, who was wielding a kitchen knife, was stunned mid-air, looking in astonishment at Beitang Yao, noting his unusual behavior.

The Young Master never drank these white liquids, only drank thick black coffee. Moreover, this glass of lemon water was prepared for Xia Qingqian.

”Another glass.” Beitang Yao’s voice, cold as Han Bing, lingered in the air, and Ye Feng had no choice but to pour another glass of lemon water for Young Master in bewilderment.

”Hey, didn’t you say these waters have no nutrients? How can you be so rude!” Xia Qingqian frowned, reaching out to grab the lemon water Ye Feng had just poured, looking up at Beitang Yao. These days, every time she looked at him, it carried a hint of anger and disdain.

It seemed she did not want to see this person in front of her at all, they seemed incompatible as fire and water.

”Damned woman! Do you lack observation skills? This is my home, and I’ll drink whatever I want. Talking incessantly here, trying to rehearse yourself into a gossipmonger?” Beitang Yao’s icy gaze sharpened, and his breathtakingly handsome face instantly coated with a thick layer of frost, making anyone want to avoid him, at least Ye Feng quietly left this battlefield.

Don’t say that Ye Feng is not loyal or not on Xia Qingqian’s side to encourage her, he blames Xia Qingqian for provoking the wrong person, daring to face the Young Master, this ticking time bomb. She’s really using her own body to counter the Young Master’s gun—destined to become cannon fodder under his gun.
